Clean Towel had wad of black hair inside when opened to use after shower. I'm bald and my wife is a blonde, not ours. Second towel was stained with black marks, but appeared otherwise clean. Traded them in for cleanish towels after realizing they were not fully clean. Floor was so dirty that both my wife and I took a wash cloth to wipe off our feet after shower so as to avoid black marks when we got in bed. Floors were laminate but didn't appear to have been mopped correctly. Refrigerator didn't work, so had to throw out medicine after overnight temp dropped below storage limit. Pleasant staff. Price was low and I should have realized that the standards were probably reflective of price. Beds were okay and lights and outlets worked. Very loud from rooms above and on either side. read more

Hotel looked dirty in n the outside and sketchy. Definitely cax our booking and went across the street. I pulled up and was getting my dogs out and the guy drives up right next to me aggressively asking if "I'm there to meet someone" I said I just got here and am waiting for my husband to arrive thanks for asking. Definitely outdated , dirty and the parking lot is sketchy just pick one of the other locations in the surrounding area. read more

This little small town hotel, America Best Value, in Columbus Texas is a good place to stay at. It is older but was very clean, big tv, nice furniture, little fridge, microwave. The front office staff was very helpful and welcoming. A few restaurants within walking distance. Did not know the area but relied on Yelp reviews that did not steer us wrong. read more

It met our travel needs by being close to I10, restaurants, offered a pool and close to Rice high school in Altair, TX but the mattress and pillows were not comfortable. Staff was professional but very friendly. Older motor inn, tight parking lot but it was clean, quiet and good enough for a 1 night stay but I felt it was little pricey. Only plus is that the motor inn made it easy to access to smoke outside near the room. I would not want to stay here for a long stay for sure. read more

I stayed here back in February. I always have my doubts about staying in these types of hotels. But this one was different. We had a very pleasurable experience. I drove a bus full of ladies to a conference there and the lady in charge called and talked to the owner ahead of time. The rooms are all on the outside of the building, but don't let that fool you. It was very clean, smelled good, well kept and up to date. They had pride in their facility and offered great service. Check out was 11am but because of scheduling, they allowed me to stay until noon. If I'm ever in the area again, this is my choice. read more

Great place to stay for travelers wanting a clean budget hotel. The rooms were updated and modern from what I would expect seeing the outside and Lobby. The photos of the rooms on Yelp aren't really accurate and make the hotel seem old. They had nice tvs and bathrooms. Bed was pillowTop so no hard mattress non sense. Expect to pay $90 after tax. A pleasure! We were tired after driving all day and after stopping at a couple motels in the previous towns we stopped here in Columbus. The motel is clean and shows pride of ownership. The pool area is nice and there is also a covered picnic area with a grill. The bed was very comfortable and the bathtub was great! We were tired of driving so we ended up here. We were so tired we didn't care about price. We didn't want to pull over and look at travel sites for cheaper rates. The room was $79. We would only have the room for a couple of hours since check out is at 11am. I went straight to bed didn't even turn on the lights to check out the room. The beds are a regular mattress with a memory foam top. I was in heaven. So 11am came around and paid again to stay longer. The room is very clean and has a country look. There is a McDonald's directly across the street and a sonic next door. Columbus is a very small town with not much going on. Which was ok since we just we needed to rest. read more

My employer booked this hotel for a work trip. The low price and photos made the place seem skeevy, but the reviews were good so I went with it. I'm glad I did, because while this place is older, it's also super quiet. It seems like newer hotels are all using cardboard for walls but here I couldn't hear ANY sound from my neighbors or the parking lot. It was also really clean. Those are pretty much the two most important criteria for hotels right? But they also have free breakfast -- cereal, muffins, and bagels. The coffee was terrible but luckily there's a great coffee shop down the street: Latte Columbus. Would definitely recommend. read more

The rooms were very clean and the customer service was some of the best I have experienced at any hotel. I would not downgrade this review to fewer stars just because the rooms are older since this is about the best you will get for this price range and my experience has given me nothing to complain about. I came to town for a wedding and the hotel accommodated my whole family. They were also able to accommodate some of us on short notice by holding rooms after the la quinta across the street cancelled our reservations without any notice and the only other hotels with vacancy were really crappy. Great place. A little pricy at $89 for 1 person but you get a very clean room, nice pool, strong water pressure, plenty of towels and a good AC unit. The room smells a little like bleach or Ajax, it isn't strong but I caught a little whiff of scent that drifts by occasionally; better to smell a little cleaning products than to smell the smell that some hotels have. The shower head is at a good height and it has soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Very very clean. The bathroom tiles look like they have been polished. There is even artwork of good quality on the walls lol. The little Indian gal at the front desk has the sweetest British accent and she is very nice. I definitely recommend this place. read more

stayed three nights to see Lagrange, Flatonia, etc. Nice clean room, comfy bed. Next to I 10 but surprisingly not very noisy. Would stay again and plan to when we visit family in the area. Good value for the $$. Wish they had more variety at breakfast. The breakfast taco's lacked the bacon, sausage, etc. they said they had. I think they buy them from a local shop.
