However, there was no chair available for wheelchair users, and the beds were much too high for someone in a wheelchair to get into easily. The website also stated that bathroom toiletries were provided, but the room only had hair conditioner and a bar of soap by the tub--there wasn't even hand soap available. Exceptionally clean, great WIFI, very quiet room, helpful staff. Unobtrusive & good service - I recommend this p lace all-around. Usually my stays at Baymonts have been informal & kind of in & out-y, but this was a very relieving stay after a very long day traveling the belly of Texas. A traffic snarl in Houston made the arrival a total relief to be off the road & in peace. Huge bathroom & good supplies helped. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about - motel breakfasts aren't known for that, but it was adequte & the coffee was fresh at all times I hit the coffee bar. Only found one entrance to the lobby, made me question the emergency exits availability. Bed was good, paint jobs on the walls lacked blending. Small elevator. Only one working Ice machine on 1st floor. No vending on other floors despite the signs saying there was. Tesla charging station stayed busy, cars in and out of the area. Seemed safe enough. Water pressure was low in shower. Breakfast was pretty basic. Close by Mex food a bonus (walking dist). Did not feel up to the Wyndham standards, but it's a random hotel that worked in a pinch. read more

The first problem with this Columbus location was the room. The noise from the air conditioning unit was loud enough to drown out the television. There was a huge hole in the window (photo attached). The tiles on the bathroom floor were loose. The wall was severely damaged (photo attached) by the bathtub. The light, outlets and USB did not work next to the bed. The brown carpet was not clean (walked in white socks on it and they were stained FROM THE CARPET). The bathroom door latch did not work properly. There was a smell of old smoke in the hallway. The second problem was an unauthorized charge on my card. I sent a message to the hotel letting them know I was traveling with my dog (chosen this place because it was "pet friendly." My dog was with me when I checked in. The desk clerk at this time told me I needed to put down a $100 pet deposit (refunded in about 4 days after check out) which is totally fine and expected. However, she never stated that there was an extra fee to have a pet with me. Days after checking out I saw this $25 fee on my card. After calling and finding out what it was for, I asked that it be waived because I was not told it existed and had not authorized the additional charge. The man attempted to blame Expedia for this, then told me that the woman had been fired (the desk clerk) because she hadn't told me, then asked me to call back in an hour. In the end, there was no help given with this and I feel after the disappointing accommodations, it was just another reason to take the time and give this location the review it deserves. read more

I'm honestly confused about the good reviews. This hotel was barely tolerable. Cracks in the walls, duct tape on the carpet, grimy lobby furniture, funky smells at every turn, a barely edible breakfast. The laundry room wasn't vented properly and the dryer exhaust went into the hall, making the whole place humid and sickeningly scented. The mattress felt old and cheap. The pillow was astonishingly firm. My travel buddies and I ended up with the worst allergies during the night. On top of all this, the front desk staff was the most inattentive bunch I've come across in all my travels. I'm not sure if someone was even there half the time. In fact, a homeless man slept in the lobby overnight. While I'm happy he wasn't stuck out in the rain, I am concerned that random people could be in the hotel at any time. I recommend spending just a little more and staying somewhere cleaner and safer! read more

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful as soon as we walked through the door. My bedroom was neat and clean and my bed was comfortable. The gym had a couple nice pieces of equipment and the outdoor pool was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious and they even give out free cookies at the door. While I won't dispute the other reviews I have to say this hotel is better than expected. Seamless check-in with a friendly front desk person, comfortable room, and clean. The bed is comfortable and love the pillows. I love that they have a fridge and microwave with in room coffee maker with coffee. They have covered parking (early bird catches the worm with this I think) and they serve a simple breakfast in the morning. I'm not sure if the neg reviews were before this redo but everything looks and feels great. It's not like I'm staying in Columbus ever again but if I do I'll stay here. read more

I was misplaced from my home because of a tornado and our whole neighborhood had no electricity. I told this to the staff and Jacky, the owner, gave me a discounted price because of my situation. Erika, the lady at the front desk, was extremely nice and sweet, shes amazing at her job. My room was clean and comfortable. Every time I would leave I would come back to a spotless room, the cleaning staff does an awesome job. The whole staff made me feel like family. To everyone making bad comments: yall need to realize that this is a hotel, not a castle. It's not gonna be perfect and some things are out of the staffs' control. I think it's good for what it is compared to other hotels. read more

This is by far the most ragged so-called hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying. The bathroom was so dirty, I had to bleach everything dowm. The furniture was ready for the dumpster. No bedbugs and the sheets were clean. But stains were everywhere else. Yuck!!! read more

This hotel is absolutely disgusting and incredibly over priced. Upon arrival, there is a putrid smell wafting through the entire hotel. The staff is less than friendly. I requested a ground floor room as I was traveling with two small children and would be arriving late. I was given a fourth floor room and there were no luggage racks to use, so I carried two children and all of our belongings upstairs. The room was dated, which is fine, but the bedding was stained, the towels dingy, and there were crumbs from the previous guest still on the floor. I could overlook all of those things, but when I went to bathe my child, I bent down and immediately smelled urine and when I saw the base of the toilet I was horrified. There are as so much urine that had run down the base and not been cleaned. There were many dark hairs intertwined in the towels too. The utterly horrifying moment was when I saw a pubic hair that wasn't hers, she's six mo this old, dangling from her mouth. I immediately picked up my children and headed down to the front desk attendant. I tried to get a refund from the hotel and was refused. I wasn't about to pay for another hotel room for the evening, so I dealt with it. The next morning, I showered in water that was almost cold and the shower wouldn't drain. I begrudgingly made my way down for breakfast and was greeted with a malfunctioning waffle iron, stale cereal and donuts, and bagels. Do not stay in this hotel. read more

This hotel is hands down one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It has a new owner that has really put his whole life into making this hotel great from what it use to be. The hotel is newly renovated and is still getting upgrades. It looks great, is super clean, quiet, comfortable, and peaceful. My family and I spend a lot of time at hotels for my husband's work and since we have been here we have been treated amazing! The owner, his family, and the staff are the best they do everything to make not only our stay but every guest that walks in that door the best they can. Save yourself the hassle and go next door. This place is pretty gross. The lobby looks like a prison waiting room and had a funky smell. The halls are dark and also smelly, pretty sure I smelled pot in our room. There is only 1 ice machine for all four floors. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but the bathroom floor was filthy, especially around the tub and toilet. The front desk team was professional and very nice but all the staff looked like they just rolled out of bed and went to work. Sweatpants and T-shirt and 1 was even wearing slippers. No one has a name tag so you don't really know who works there. The breakfast area was GROSS! Food all over the floor and counter tops. The bacon looked like it was from the day before and the eggs were stuck to the heating dish. There was a small case with some blueberry muffins that looked like someone had pulled the tops off everyone of them. You don't expect the Ritz but you do expect something eatable. I tried the cereal since it seemed the most likely to not have been touched but the milk was soar. Coffee was good but that's about all I can say. You can go next door for the same price and it's much nicer. read more

Do Not Stay Here. Arrived in the rain, what turned out to be an employee truck blocked covered entry; had to unload in the rain. Told room was ready, it was not. Had requested non-smoking room, room smelled of cigarettes. Door to room would not lock; no maintenance there to fix. They told me to jiggle it. Mgr finally came up to sort of fix it. Then toilet would not flush. FINALLY moved us from Queen rm with 2 beds to King rm w/one bed. No shower floor mat, only 2 towels no handtowels, and bathtub was very slippery. No grab rail except for outside of shower. Hotel was filthy; glass doors/mirrors in fitness rm & front door covered in fingerprints, dirty floors, torn furniture in upstairs lobby. Front desk staff rude and unconcerned. Found employees sleeping on lobby furniture next a.m. Finally figured out this was a hotel used for hurricane refugees. Would have been nice to know. I travel a lot and this was a great place when it was owned by another company. Won't ever stay here again. read more
