Americas best? More like Americas worst. There was nothing clean about their work. All they did was water down the windows and leave the gunk inside the window trims/nets. They didn't even clean up their own mess. All the residue from the floors above landed in my balcony. The buildings janitorial employees had to come and clean it. read more

We were very happy with both the price and the work done by America's Best Window Cleaning. They gave us a quote for upstairs and downstairs, both inside and outside. I mentioned that a few of the windows were actually in the attic and a closet and we wouldn't need the inside of those cleaned. They knocked off $100, which was more than fair. After the job was done, we noticed that one window still had some stains - it is particularly hard to clean since a huge flowering bush is right up against it and there is always dust, spider webs, sap and water spots on the windows behind the plant. The guys from America's Best brought out their equipment again and scrubbed until the windows were sparkling. We really appreciated the extra work. I found Americas Best Window Cleaning on AngiesList.com, thye had stellar reviews and offered 10% first time customers. I hired them in 2007 to wash the exterior windows of a large house and guest house. They showed up on time, were incredibly professional and went over all their prices and broke down how much windows, french doors and skylights would cost. Needless to say they did an excellent job and I have been hiring them every year since. In the past 7 years they have continued to keep up the professionalism and quality. I have also recommended America's Best to my friends and they have been happy with the cleaning service done. I am sorry to see other individuals have written negative reviews when they never actually had the company come out and wash their windows. I believe there are some angry and malicious people living in LA who are just negative and mean spirited. read more

Some of our windows are challenging to clean, requiring the person to either hang out a 3rd story opening or go up to the roof, lie down and squeegee slanted skylights. Not for the faint hearted. Then I found these guys who do residential windows too. For my single story, I pay $175 to get all 10 windows, screens, and sills cleaned. They're in and out in 2 hours. Why suffer with dirty windows...just don't go out to dinner once or twice and use that money to get your windows cleaned... and enjoy gorgeous clean windows for at least 6 months! When my son came home from school, he said the windows looked transparent. I've even caught myself several times thinking my windows are open because they do look like they're not there. I just used these guys to clean the windows at my apartment in San Francisco. Very satisfied! I found out about them through a coupon on Amazon Local. You have to understand, I live above a very busy intersection in The City of San Francisco. There are a lot of cars that pass by, day and night. Over the years, this grotesque layer of black soot, which I assume is car exhaust, has accumulated. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to clean it from the inside of my apartment. It's always bummed me out, but it was just one of those things that I figured I had to accept. (Lord knows my landlord wasn't going to spring for any window cleaning service.) The guys came over, they did a great job. Windows are clean, that black soot is GONE GONE GONE. The windows are very clear now and it's really helping make the apartment nicer and improving my mood as well :) The best part, and the thing that I am always wary of with these Amazon Local deals, is that they did not try to do any up-selling. There wasn't any of that "Oh, well, we're gonna have to charge extra because that window is _____________ (fill in the blank with whatever you'd like: round, big, small, square, triangular, etc.) They did what they told me they would do, no surprises, no hidden fees. We can see! It's a miracle! We purchased an Angie's List special much like the guy from Monrovia, only ours was for cleaning 20 windows for 99 bucks. We kept the voucher at hand until the winter's rains ended (though, this year, there wasn't much in the way of wet stuff to make a big difference one way or the other). In any case, the windows on the front of our house overlooking the east end of the San Fernando Valley hadn't had the grime scrubbed off their exteriors in years because they're too high off the ground to reach using just a stepstool, and we don't even possess a ladder tall enough. And those window washing systems that utilize a hose just don't cut it. The guy from America's Best showed up on time on the appointed day and worked hard in the heat to produce crystal clear windows through which we can now peer at the view without squinting. Even the cats seem to enjoy staring off into space more. Perhaps they're waiting for an increased incidence of bird strikes. So, kudos to America's Best. We'll go back to them when the need arises, as it will. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. I was having a my sons first birthday party and was expecting 100 people in my home, so I decided to hire someone to clean my house so that I could focus on other party prep. I scheduled a house cleaning 3 weeks prior to the day I needed them. I called and verified the day before our scheduled appointment to make sure they were coming. They said that they would be here. However, two hours before they were supposed to show, they called and said they weren't coming. The office person gave me a story that the person coming got in a fender bender. When I asked if they had a back up crew they could send, I was told that they tried to contact the crew and no one was responding. Basically no one was coming! So now I had to clean my house on top of all the other things I had to do for the party. The whole purpose of hiring a company to clean your house is so that I could be free to get other things done. When the cleaning crew finally did show (3days later) I talked to the nice ladies and told them my situation. They were both very surprised and said that they knew nothing about a fender bender and that they could have come on my original scheduled cleaning day. They also told me that I was being lied to(apparently it happens a lot) and that I should report it to the manager. Since then I have tried to get in touch with a manager to report the staff member and THEY won't even return my calls. So the whole company sucks, from the office staff all the way up to the management. Do not use this company! So much that I had planned for my sons party didn't get done because I had to focus on cleaning my house. The whole experience was super stressful! Not exactly the kind of memories one would like to have of their first born's first birthday. read more

UPDATE 5 Years Later: Just came back to this review and saw the response from the owner. If they really wanted to provide the kind of experience they claim, it would not have take almost 2 years to respond to my review. In addition, the response seems to imply that I have trouble with some of the easier concepts around math. As a college physics instructor (not kidding), I tend to handle simple addition without too much trouble. These people lied, quoting me a different per window cost than what they said when they arrived. Perhaps this is simply an issue with the people they hire who are trying to "soak" the customers? Hmmmmm...... ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very disappointed. At first I thought this was going to be a great company. The person who made the appointment was friendly and accomodating and really worked to fit my schedule. Then the day arrived and with it bad news. The cleaners quoted me a higher price than what i was told on the phone. They finally agreed to the original price but only after I told them that I didnt want service. The cleaning was not great, with many spots and streaks. Whats worse, they didnt even clean my garage windows after I agreed to pay extra for them. You did not honor that request, rather you replied to my Yelp post. I have yet to hear from a manager. If it truly was your goal to provide excellent service, I would have been contacted by someone in an effort to resolve this unfortunate situation. Secondly, your assessment of the situation is not correct. Your company arrived at 12:15 pm, not at 2pm as you state in your response. I can verify this because I was in a lunch meeting when I received the call. As an attorney, I track my time carefully. You were correct that we were scheduled between 1-4, that I was I was so surprised at the early arrival time of your crew. Thirdly, the screens that needed to be replaced were on our second story - on our upstairs patio doors and our 2 upstairs bedrooms and master bath. Your crew did not go upstairs. The stood at our front doorway where there is no way they could possibly assess what screens needed to be replaced. Lastly, I do not scream at anyone, including incompetent customer service representatives like Amanda, truly the poorest representation of a business associate anyone could ask for. The $30 fee was waived because I did would not reschedule with your company. I hired a professional business who did a fantastic job, unlike America's Best. Do yourself and your business a favor, take a course in customer service asap and terminate the employment of Amanda, a person who represents your business very poorly. read more

Too late for what I needed. They oversold their special and I became the victim. They were completely insensitive to my problmes and schedule. Arrogant operators in addition. I was extremely disappointed in my experience with this company. There was no phone call from the workers prior to their arrival as I had requested. The job they did cleaning the windows was okay(but not great) for the most part but they were not able to clean the windows one one side of the house that were the primary reason for my hiring them. The reason for this was hard water stains (which look like water spots on glasses from your dishwasher). They did not tell me this until the job was over and then said they did not know how to resolve this and I should consider replacing the windows! I later called the company about this and they told me they could send out someone to clean the hard water deposits (although there was no guarantee the deposits could be removed) at a higher rate per hour. I declined. This is something that should be mentioned up front. I don't like surprises. read more

I hired Americas Best Window Cleaning to wash my interior and exterior windows throughout my home along with the screens. I have windows on the second floor that are difficult to get to. In fact, the company I hired last year simply told me they couldn't wash them. Which is why I decided to go with Americas Best this year. Not only did they get to these 2nd floor windows, they washed every window in my home beautifully! The screens and the tracts were also washed spotless and I live in the country where a lot of dirt accumulates. They were on time, extremely helpful, pleasant, and professional. They also went over the cost before they started, which was very reasonable. I highly recommend Americas Best to anyone that needs their windows cleaned. I used this company in 2012 and 2013 and had no problems. They called me in July 2015 to schedule routine window cleaning and offered to do the job for the same price as the prior two times. I accepted their offer. After waiting 2 hours for them to show up on July 31, I called to inquire whether they were coming. Desiree informed me that they had booked for the wrong day. Subsequently, Desiree called me to tell me that they could not honor the price that they had offered, but required a 60% increase. Desiree further clarified that she could not commit to the precise timeslot that they had offered. Desiree then blamed me for writing down the wrong date in the first place. In sum, they breached their own offer on price, and they failed to keep their original appointment date. I will not recommend this company to anyone ever again. read more

Working with America's Best, Inc. has been a huge disappointment. I purchased their special offer for re-screening 2 screen doors through Angie's List. I made the appointment with Amanda to repair two screen doors that had been scratched by our cat. Hugo and Henry did show up on time. They indeed re-screened both screen doors to our balcony, but they installed them backwards (with the tubing on the inside), the inside handles were backwards, and one latch was broken in the process. After the installation, I noticed the inside handles were backwards. Hugo fixed this on both doors. They were in a hurry so I tipped them $20 and then went to check the latches on each before they left, only to discovered the latch on one had been bent in the process and then re-bent back in place. It broke off in my hand when I checked the latch. I called them back inside to show them and Hugo took pictures, promising to get a new latch. He said it may be mailed, but it would be easy to put on ourselves. They left and as I went back to work, I realized the piping for the screens was on the inside. I checked my window screens and confirmed they are all installed with the piping outside. I called Amanda and she said she wasn't sure if it really was wrong but asked me to send pictures, which I did. I didn't hear back from her so called to make sure she received the pictures; she confirmed that she had and, yes, the doors were installed backwards. She also saw the broken latch and would look into when they could be sent out to do the reinstall and repair. No call the next day, so I called and left a message with her associate asking about the schedule. No return call the following day, so I called again. I asked to wait to speak to Amanda, but another associate came back on line to say she knew I was waiting but didn't know yet when it could be scheduled and "they would get back to me." I have given up trying to contact Amanda. This weekend my husband flipped the doors and installed them correctly. Later this week I will go to Emil's Hardware (on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles) and buy a new latch. Emil's made these screen doors for us about three year's ago and I am sorry we didn't just take them back there for the re-screening. I see America's Best is in the category of window cleaning. My mistake for not researching their area of expertise before buying Angie's Big Deal. read more

A year ago this service was superb, so I renewed to have my exterior windows and screens cleaned again -- Big mistake. I should have gotten a clue from the annoying phone help. This time two kids came to clean the same exterior windows and screens. A year ago it was a knowledgable team of three grown ups. The two kids who showed up today didn't seem competent or professional. One of them kcked our sidwalk drainage hose apart (probably by accident). Later he fell off the ladder. An outside watering hose they borrowed was left turned on, kinked, and dropped across the sidewalk. Big, greasy fingerprints were left on some windows. Some screens just didn't look clean. The two kids were oblivious to any of this. I asked the one with the check list to put back the ladders and hoses as they were, which he did without attitude. But it gets worse, and I only found out too late. The kids were unable to remove a ground floor screen (new last year and last touched ay America's Best). Later one told me the screen was washed from the inside. The two kids were paid and left. I'm putting back the overturned lamp, curtains, etc, downstairs. I find the suede couch is stained and wet, I assume from the interior washing of the screen. From the circular stain on the couch, one of these incompents just put their bucket full of liquid on the courch and let it slop all over. I called to talk to the owner of America's Best and got the run around - we can't reach her now, etc., So this is why I'm adding a review to YELP. Beware, Beware, this window service is like the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead.... read more

Adequate service, poor management. America's Best came to clean the windows throughout our apartment complex last week. We had to move furniture and plants off our balcony to accommodate their staff, and I stayed home from work in order to let them into the unit. Waited all day, no cleaner came. After calling the company myself at 6:00pm, discovered that they hadn't booked enough staff and planned to return the next day to finish the job. Projected 8 hours of inconvenience turned into 24+. Bought a deal for window cleaning & they charged more for extra windows than was printed on deal agreement. Sloppy work - no extra effort at all - they merely wiped up and down - if you had a spot that needed a little extra rubbing forget about it. They also missed alot of corners and when I pointed it out the lead person looked at me dumbfounded, like "what do you want me to do about it lady?" They were just anxious to get to their next job.
