After being forgotten about for month waiting for an estimate, I engaged them to replace about 40 feet of gutters on our third floor of our building. After paying a down payment to start the work, I was told that they would need scaffolding to do the job. However, I was responsible for finding a contractor with scaffolding and to set it up. And responsible for having someone to move the scaffolding to place where they would need to work. Seems like if you replace gutter you should be prepared to do that work. My review for Rain Gutter Pros is based on a service they referred me to. After having a very bad experience working with an individual named Tom who Rain Gutter Pros highly recommended, I decided not to do business with Rain Gutter Pros because I got ripped off by the individual who had no experience, work ethics and/or integrity! I called Rain Gutter Pros for gutter cleaning and gutter screen services on 12/2/20, a female answered my call. She informed me they don't clean gutter but she will refer me to a very good gutter cleaning service called Gutter Flow and Tom is the person I must talk to about gutter cleaning. Then she scheduled me for an estimate on a gutter screen installation job. Based on the good reviews for Rain Gutter Pros, I believed the gutter cleaning service she referred me to must be reliable. When I called the number she gave me, no one answered the phone, so I left a voicemail. Tom returned my call immediately, he asked me to give him my address and texted him few pictures of my gutters, so he could give me an estimate on the phone. After I followed what he instructed me to do, he called me back with an estimate of $350 for gutter cleaning. I told him his price was twice as much as other gutter cleaning services quoted me, Tom said he will also clean my windows for free. I wanted to schedule an appointment for the following week, but he said he could do the work on the same day. I was hesitant to hire him before shopping around but then I changed my mind. Due to the fact that I had a surgery scheduled on the following day, I was afraid I may not be able to do much after the surgery, so I agreed to have him clean my gutters and windows in the afternoon of 12/2/20. When Tom showed up at my front door with a small bucket and a brush in his hands, I found it hard to believe those two items were the only tools he had to clean my gutters. I asked him if he had a pressure washer, he said he didn't but he had a hose. I mentioned Rain Gutter Pros, he said he's a good friend of the owner of Rain Gutter Pros, and that's why they referred him to their customers. He also said he was in gutter cleaning business for 6 months but he had never worked for Gutter Flow. I confirmed with him about washing both gutters and windows, he said he will. Between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. when Tom got up to my roof with a garbage bad, a small bucket and a brush to clean my gutters, I only heard him move around on my roof three times. Most of the time it was dead silence, I found it weird how he could do his job without moving around, the only explanation could be that he didn't move around because he didn't cover the entire gutter area! When Tom showed up at my front door and said he finished his work, I asked him about window cleaning, he said he couldn't reach my windows. I found it hard to believe because my windows are much closer to the ground than the gutters, if he could reach the gutters, there's no reason he couldn't reach the windows. I had to remind him the only reason I agreed to have him do the job was because he agreed to wash my windows. So he brought his hose and watered down three windows facing the front yard, and he claimed that was all he could do even though he had agreed to clean, not water down, all my windows. He demanded that I paid him $350 through Zelle, I did not want to argue with him because I am a disabled senior citizen, if he gets angry with me, there's a safety concern I have for myself. I had to pay him for a very bad and incomplete job he did! After he left I noticed there was leaves and debris scattered all over my driveway and patio, my back gate was left open and he did not remove the bird nest build underneath the gutter as he agreed to do. I will have to hire another gutter cleaning service to clean up the mess Tom left! I must write this review because I don't want any other customer of Rain Gutter Pros to get ripped off by Tom, an individual who has nothing but hunger for money. He claimed he owns a construction company and can fix my door, change my flooring and remodel my entire house, I find it hard to believe in anything Tom said because he neve carried on the verbal agreement he had with me before he started the job! Therefore if anyone needs gutter cleaning service, please do not ask Rain Gutter Pros for referral, they cannot provide any good referral and you will get ripped off by an amateur guy. We were very impressed with Rain Gutter Pros. We had an unusual situation. We had just replaced our wood patio cover with a Smart Patio Plus cover which is made of metal. The manufactured metal cover has a super gutter to catch the rain from the house. The problem was, how to connect the super gutter on each side to the existing gutters. I had two contractors tell me that it would have to come down on the wall over my BBQ counter which I had said absolutely not. It would look terrible. I have yet to experience rain to truly test them but they look great and the crew was friendly. Very sad to write a negative review. I had a good experience with this company through the estimate, coordination with their office person and instillation. I wired the deposit from my checking account once I signed the paperwork and their office confirmed receipt. When the job was done I immediately mailed a check for the balance that was promptly cashed. Today, two weeks after instillation, I get a call from the owner stating I haven't paid a cent and I owe them the complete balance. Of course I told him I paid for everything in full and could prove it and this is his problem. he basically called me a liar. Clearly this company has big issues.
