Soon after, we started noticing loud crackling noises on the first floor whenever anyone walked above on the second floor. This wasn't an isolated spot but most of the second floor. It is so loud that if someone walks above, it literally wakes you up. We have a one year warranty so we reached out to KHOV. They sent a guy out who screwed a bunch of anti-squeak screws into the floor. The screws did nothing. A week later, they reluctantly sent people out, this time two guys. They did the same thing as the previous time, told me it couldn't be the subfloor but that there was nothing else they could do, and left. We sent an email with a video of the noise and the response from the head of they warranty department said it was the subfloor/joists and they won't do anything else. I am not a guy who leaves many bad google reviews but I have never experienced anything like this. Instead of standing behind their work, they are standing behind a few lines in a document to weasel out of fixing this. They are using the excuse that it's the subfloor/joists but based on what his own workers said, this is not what is causing this. We are left with a home that is so poorly built, we literally can't sleep if there's anyone on the second floor. I don't even know who to get to fix this because another builder doesn't want involved in fixing the first builders mess. We are reviewing Ashland, OH but I would suspect this is how KHOV is run nationally. I am disgusted and amazed that a company would treat their customers like this. DO NOT USE THIS CROOKED COMPANY!!!
