Nice place, we accidentally got here way too early before checkin and the hotel manager was more than accommodating for us! The pool is super nice and heated, sadly the hot tub was out of service during our stay due to the part it needed to be fixed being on a National back order, so I know it's not the hotels fault and understand that. The showers run very hot and cozy, the lobby area has a very comfortable "homey" feeling including a gorgeous fireplace, desks available for guests to work at as well as a computer available in the lobby for guests. Another nice touch is that this location offers a VPN protected network for their guests which is a really nice touch as cyber security is always a concern especially while traveling! Also the complimentary breakfast is 6-10am which is nice for those who prefer sleeping in a bit! Staff is so friendly and I had a really enjoyable stay! great place outside the QC for a more laid back getaway! Also conveniently close to I-80! read more

Are room smelled like a dog but the the rest is nice the bed I comfe but the internet and cell service I trash

Over the past 8yrs that I have stayed at the Hotel because of necessity, I can honestly say nothing has changed EXCEPT the total wearing out of this property. It is dated and basic and if it recieves a high review it is because all other properties in the area do absolutely nothing to improve their property. This AmericInn is following those examples and it's suprising because 2yrs agao Wyndham hung their flag on this Hotel. My recommendation is to find a nearby town (although inconvenient) in order to have a better stay. read more

Sore backs await! This is for the Americinn shown in the photo folio. First, we had a PSD with us. When we notified the manager of her accompaniment, she seemed agitated. So we offered to show her the ADA certification documents. She took the paperwork, and proceeded to tell us the difference between a PSD and a emotional support animal. As if we, the ones who live with a disability worthy of the expense of a PSD, do not know the difference. She told us they don't accept emotional support animals. My husband said thanks for letting us know. Again, we have a PSD with us. So she says she will put a $150 pet deposit on our room. It was late, we were tired. We agreed. Even though we know that was illegal of her, we did it anyway. The next morning, 1-31-23, the same manager was on duty. Husband asked her to come inspect the room in order to remove the pet fee. She did both. This review is more about the luke warm coffee, the shards of plastic or glass in the hallway risking injury to my socked feet and my PSD's paws, the fact that we were one of three customers in the entire hotel and they put a family with a baby next door to us, and that free breakfast included one stale egg omelet and one slice of sausage for all customers to choose from. Since it was so gross, none of us wanted them anyway. We were glad to not be sleeping in the car, but we will not be back. read more

I recommend here because the pool is large and they treat you like a king! The workers are sweet as sugar.

Our stay started with speaking to Becki on the phone. It seemed that the extra care she used in making our accommodations was normal for her - but very unusual for us. We now call her our "Elf-Angel" as her great attitude and attention to detail extended to our actual stay. Then the very first morning at breakfast our hostess welcomed us and asked if she could do anything for us. We are retired military and have stayed in more hotels than I care to count and we have NEVER had the Breakfast Hostess be so warm towards the guests. It has been our experience that they try to avoid the guests if possible. Not Sarah - and this made her stand out to us!!! Top notch!!! Last but not least, Sierra, our maid, even tucked in our daughter's stuffed toy when she made her bed. Great personal touch. Just another example of a fine staff whose goal is to make your stay warm and comfortable. As far as we are concerned, this is the only place to stay when we are in this area. read more

There aren't exactly many lodging options in Kewanee, but AmericInn is always friendly, clean, and cozy. I have been coming here for years to visit family and it always fits the bill. Nothing fancy, but certainly a comfy room for a couple nights. read more

I recently stayed at your Americinn in Kewanee Illinois hotel and was very disappointed. We purposely booked the suite with the whirlpool and fireplace only to be disappointed when the "fireplace" was an electric one. At least state that in your room description. Since our purpose was to have a gas fireplace we went downstairs to the gas fireplace but Kelly wasn't able to get the fireplace to work. After we finished playing cards we went back to the room and I went into the restroom and found a used feminine maxi pad on the floor. I went down and spoke to Kelly, who was very sympathetic and agreed to move us to another room. I was given the managers number to call on Monday. She basically told me I'm not telling the truth that her head cleaner went into the room the day before and did deep cleaning and no one had gone into the room since then. Why would I put this on the floor? I'm an older lady who hasn't needed this for over 5 years. I wasn't looking for a refund but more of an apology which I did not get from Tammy. Kelly and the other clerk were very apologetic and I thanked them for their concern, both gave me a 20% card but why would I want to go back to Kewanee. I paid extra for a fireplace and a whirlpool but who wants to use a whirlpool when this was found on the floor. I waited until today to give AmericInn the benefit of doubt before I placed my review. My cousins husband got transfer to a new job out in Kewanee, Illinois. So I went with then to watch the kids as they looked for a new home. The room was nice and clean. The staff was very wonderful. The pool was simple, not over 5 feet deep, but the kids loved it. That was all that mattered. I liked the hot tub. The pool area is open from 7am to 12am, which was nice. We got a breakfast that came with the room. Many types of breads, jams, sugar free jams, fruit, peanut butter, honey, make your own waffles, sausage, eggs, 4 kinds of cereal, 5 kinds of Yogurt, milk, coffee, apple juice, etc. We all had something good and full tummies. After we checked in we noticed that our toilet was on a constant refill. We let the front desk know and they changed our room without a batting their eye. It was taken care of. When asking about a place to eat the ladies told us where to go, what to get, and how to get there. Also, what I thought was cool is that the local cops stopped by twice to check on the place. I asked the cop if this hotel had "problems." He looked at me and said no. Just making sure everything is ok. Doing his job. And, probably getting a free cup of joe. Which, in a small town was a nice touch. It reminded me of my Grandparents home town in Ohio. Very small, where everyone knew each other and looked out for each other. My family found a place to live. But, during high holidays for visits I will be staying here. I look forward to my next visit here. read more

I believe this hotel is entirely way too overpriced for Kewanee. But we stayed there to avoid driving home after a birthday party. The room was clean and we were put in the exact room I requested. Staff was friendly. But $139 for one night is crazy for a town the size of Kewanee. I'm staying in a Hilton next week in Los Angeles for $160...... So $139 in Kewanee is absurd. read more
