They could improve their customer service!!! Those people SUCK !!! Worst ever!!! I wish they had negative stars!!! so I have two oil tanks. They're very far apart from each other and they put some kind of device on one of them and it was the wrong one because I refuse to use Amerigas so this tank is not theirs. They never asked us to enter our property and then they charge us $200 to come out and take it off! And that was after I clarified with them that they would not charge me for that and now they're giving me a fit they made the mistake but I'm paying so don't use Amerigas. The problem isn't so much this branch. The bad: It's AmeriGas as a whole... they have overseas call centers, after Covid they have shut down all local branches and they have become inaccessible to the public. The overseas call center employees don't know their company's own policy's, are unable to help with simple requests like 'could you email me that policy'. The horrible: This company has become too corporate. They simply only care about cash, a few years ago the property we purchased came with a propane tank owned by AmeriGas. The first few times It seemed okay to buy gas from this company, not to expensive, not crazy wait times exc exc, however. Over the years their prices per gallon quickly ballooned and it became most cost effective to run our heat pump. This year we decided to get some gas and called AmeriGas, of-course you get the overseas call center who you can hardly understand, but that's a different story. I asked for the price per gallon as I always do and they wanted a whopping 4.60 per gallon ! So I called around and did some research it turns out at the fair market value of propane I was around 2.60 give or take. I was outraged that this company has been ripping us off! I called to cancel and also to ask why we are paying double and their said it was 'based on usage' I said that's the thing, we don't use much we try and be efficient with our propane, and they said 'exactly' 'the more you use the cheaper it will be' that's not lanky irrational but it should be illegal. Nobody else in the propane industry does that, you pay fair market value, that's it. Just because your company is suffering financially they make you pay for their poor financial decisions... I asked to cancel after that and they threatened their fees which are how they keep you in 299.99 to pick up their old tank we have been paying rent to have which by the way they are supposed to service and they haven't serviced in 6 years, plus another 149.99 for 'processing fee' basically a bogus fee they implement to try and keep people in. I've had service with Amerigas since 2013 for a propane fireplace. Since consolidating to a more central business model, their customer service has absolutely tanked. Every fee is ridiculous ($140 for a leak check?!?) and their propane pricing isn't the best in the area like it used to be. Recently I've started receiving line items on my bills that shouldn't be there. Phone reps don't know what they are and remove them, but make sure you pay attention to your bill. I'll be replacing Amerigas as my supplier as soon as I possibly can. read more

Long hold time to speak with a customer service representative. Call centers are in foreign locations. Representatives often cannot be understood and are generally difficult to communicate with. Questions cannot be escalated to a manager. Local offices cannot be called. On one occasion a service person gave me a local number to call to arrange tank replacement and the process went smoothly. On other occasions when I've had questions or concerns about deliveries, billings a meter problem and a valve problem I've had to use the call center and the experience was very frustrating and time-wasting. read more

Our previous service was purchased by Amer gas . Our service dropped from a 5 to a 1. The price is way over the average. Customer service is terrible people out of country pushing keys we have been over charged more than once takes hours to get corrected. Drivers don't show on occasion last delivery we were told our gate was closed and we had dogs loose. Untrue. We checked the camera and no service truck drove by. Just tired of the difficult chore to order propane. Miss former company. read more

I ran out of propane. Our usage said we should have plenty. I tried to call the local number. Got a heavily accented person who could only review my account and couldn't help with delivery. Spent hours on the phone. We need to talk to someone local to find out how we lost over 250 gallons of propane. Don't use if you ever want to talk to someone local. read more

Faulty equipment has left us with empty tanks 3 years in a row. We were assured last year that the problem was fixed. Nope it was not fixed. Poor communication between the corporate company and local service provider. We will be changing propane companies asap. DON'T USE AMERIGAS. GO WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY. It is absolutely impossible to speak to someone at a local office. All call get routed to call centers where the agents are unable to help with specific issues like contacting a delivery driver. Charges exorbitant fees for every single need. I am never dealing with this company again. Want propane? Go local with a company where you can speak to the people that actually work there. read more

i have been using this company for about s year and a half now.. when we bought our home (as first tie home owners) we knew nothing about propane, tanks, who to call, when to call! So, we ran out of propane a few days after Thanksgiving (pre-covid year) and had an expedited delivery at the low, low cost of $300!!! during this phone call, the answering service representative told us to be sure to request a delivery at or before 20 gallons left in our tanks- and every time since then, our propane was delivered within a few days of ordering UNTIL this time- it is currently day 13 post order and we have been out of propane 4 days now during the coldest days of the year snd a snow storm with a toddler . I callled for 3 days and after many hang ups on their end and no answers I finally got through- explained everything to lady SHE TELLS ME OH YOU SHOULD ORDER WHEN TANJS ARE AT THIRTY!!! Okay so someone gave us wrong info, we out of gas- her only responses are to contino tell me the exact info I can get online or through the automated phone service!! And tells me my gas SHOULD arrive on or by day 14- no offering to check drivers schedules to see if they'll be in my area and can come early - ZERO HELP!! They do not care about the families the service- and to be honest I am in full belief they are tryinv to get ppl to order their $300 expedited deliveries bc of the pipeline shut downs or whatever! read more
