Beware of their tactics! I was told by the service technician that someone would contact me regarding a service plan. I did not receive a call but did get an invoice for the plan on my A/C. I immediately called to explain that this was not what I wanted. Was told this would be cancelled and the new plan which included my furnace and A/C would be set up. I'm still being billed for the original plan which I cancelled more than two months ago. Trying to talk to these reps is next to impossible. They said that cancellation must be done within 60 days. I cancelled after 3 weeks. All I have been told is that I have to pay this invoice. How many more people are being duped by this unfair business practice? More people should speak up and a letter to the Attorney General for the State of Pennsylvania seems to be in order. read more

The absolute worst. And we are a "contract customer". Save yourself the headaches and find a different supplier. Liars and thieves. Called four times over three weeks, and every time they told us we were are on the list to be delivered. That is exactly what we were told all four times... the last call the office staff even gave a delivery date... called back after "missed" delivery date and were told we weren't even on the schedule. The call number staff is clueless and has no clue what they are doing. They want you to sign a contract to be a "valued customer" for a year yet they don't hold up there end of the deal to automatically refill you like they are supposed too. Still no delivery in sight, and we are under 15% on the tank with single digit temps ahead. Let's not forget the famous last words of the call center.... I signed up for propane delivery with a price guarantee of $2.54 per gallon for 18 months. My first delivery after 1 month of signing up, they charged me $2.94 per gallon. Upon inquiring about the different pricing and why the price guarantee was not honored, the response I received was that prices have gone up. Quite pathetic. Be warned. read more

Where to start... I bought my house 3 weeks ago, which had an aero propane tank. I call Aero to inquire about their service, price, etc. I was told if they remove the tank I'd be charged $149 plus .60 for whatever propane is left in tank... keep in mind I just bought this house, I don't own these tanks nor was I ever in a 'contract' with them. I spoke to Sharon, she explained I can 'lock' in a price come January and it would be 2.059 a gal but I would have to keep using them because it's their tank... ok, I was good with that and when I spoke to her on Dec 12th she said they be out in 1-3 days as my tank was at 29%. So on Dec 19th the guy shows up, does the leak test and fills the tank at $2.599 a gal!! I explained to the very nice guy that the price I was given was $2.059! And I also received a brochure for $3.00 off Every delivery since I did auto pay and up to a $100 fuel credit! He said he would have his boss, Jason, call me. Jason called and gave me the 'run around' about the price I was quoted and said he'd make it right... I also questioned the very ancient tank that is here and asked about a new tank, he said they can replace it since it's theirs and they put them in the ground now. He assured me he would call back with answers to my other questions But he never did! So, I was Overcharged by $100 because of their incompetent people that Do Not stick to their word nor do they return calls! We ordered our propane online and let them know there was no rush, and we received our delivery within a few days. Aero is a nice company to work with and has been very efficient for us ! Called to request a quote to install a 120 lb Propane Tank for auxiliary gas fireplace heating as advertised per their website. I have another HVAC person to install the fireplace and run the lines, all I need is the tank sale and install. When I finally got through, I was informed that they are no longer "accepting" new accounts for this type of application. Don't advertise it if you are not going to provide it. read more

Aero Energy charges labor from the time the technician leaves their shop until after tech has left the customer's premisis. In my case, the travel time was exeggerated and in addition the tech sat in my driveway talking on his cell phone after finishing job. This travel time added one-half hour to the labor charge on top of the charges for coming. Aero Energy should disclose upfront that the labor charge clock starts when tech heads out from shop or his previous location. In other words, the tech gets paid for his driving and cell phone time. We have lived in the same house for over 27 years and have used Aero Oil the entire time. Up until a few years ago, they were faithful about calling us once a year to service our hot water heater and furnace in order to honor our service contract. Not anymore. I now have to call every fall to have them come out. This time, however, I was told since my husband's name was on the contract, he would have to call in and give permission for me to make an appointment. They would be coming to the same address listed on the contract. I would be the person to let them in. My last name is the same as my husband's! Who makes these rules?!? I hung up! We had the salesman Jason Trish out three weeks ago to provide an estimate for a replacement oil burner. Upon leaving that day he told me I would have the estimate by the following Monday. When a week passed and I had not heard anything, I emailed him asking when I could expect it. The response I received said he would attempt to get it to me the next day, that he was swamped with No AC issues. Nothing came the following day. Fine, I understand it's summer so AC comes first. It has now been three weeks since his initial visit and he has made no contact, not even to say he will get to it. I realize it's just an estimate, but it's not a small replacement and it will be a chunk of money that we have to pay so it would be nice to know what we should expect ahead of time. read more

I have been an aero customer for 10 years and I called for an emergency delivery on Thursday and their customer service is horrible. They told me that since I was a COD customer that I was not eligible for an emergency delivery. They took my money and gave me a date for a week away. We are completely out so now they still have not given us a date. Only thing they said is that there are other companies out there and all of the managers are on vacation today. I will keep calling until I speak to someone. Their customer service agents are horrible and the on call manager offered no support. I will never recommend them. read more

I had aero installed a new propane tank for me. They required me to pay for my tank in full before they would even schedule my installation or give me an install date. I offered to pay for the tank at time of delivery. Why should I pay them in full before receiving any product or service? The installer was an older man who told me that he was too old to climb into the hole where the tank was to be installed and place the leveling blocks needed to install the tank. Then they did not set up a delivery for the first fill that they told me I had to purchase from them as part of the installation of the tank. Then 9 months after the tank was installed a leak developed in the line that aero installed. I called them to have someone come fix the leak. The customer service rep that answered the phone told me that the company does not warranty there workmanship only the tank in the ground for the first year. I called a reputable local company to come fix the leak at my cost. After the other company completed the repair, I got a call from a service rep from aero that said they could come look at the problem and it would be covered under warranty. So I am out the cost of the repair plus who knows how much propane that leaked due to poor workmanship. I would not recommend this company. read more

Then, after a few years, I realized Hummelstown Fuel Oil, Countryside Fuel Oil (the cheapest), and... well, basically every other company was cheaper. I let my contract expire. I did not ask for another delivery or sign up for a new plan. I let it go and went with someone else They still delivered fuel and left a bill! If you're in their area - call around. Everyone else is cheaper. TODAYS FUEL PRICES - Areo charged me $2.34/9 A GALLON! No wonder when I had my furnace fixed and told them I got my fuel at Aero that they laughed at me and said "let me know if you ever want to save a ton of money." I used Aero Energy for house oil delivery and yearly service contract to maintain the furnace for one property as far back as 1999 and another as far back as 2003. I've done monthly delivery and I've pre-paid for oil through the years. Out of the blue with no explanation, I received two checks in the mail from Aero with no correspondence. When I called, I was told that my two accounts were terminated. It's September, at the start of the winter season. I returned the checks, not knowing the conditions. I believe if Aero needs to sever relationships with a client and breach two active service contracts, it should be according to the agreement with sufficient notice and an explanation. Aero Energy acted in a very unprofessional manner. Is something internal happening at Aero Energy that is sounding the alarms? read more

Absolutely worse company I have ever had to deal with! I used this company for 18 mths for propane and it took a extra 7 mths to get them to STOP charging me and delivering propane! We signed up for a budget plan for 1200 gallons at $135 a mth payment, They delivered with-out our approval nearly 2400 gallons before we could get them to stop! Finally after getting them to stop they claimed we now owe them $3,000 in delivered propane on top of the 2 years of budget payments! What is a budget and why join one if they charge you a extra $3,000 a year after the budget and contracted amount of propane??? When we asked they PLEASE STOP bringing propane and pick-up what they had delivered WITH-OUT the home owners permission, Tammy (Areo Energy) Wanted $80 to pick up their own tanks! The real slap in the face came when they only wanted to pay us back $0.60 per gallon for their propane we ASKED NOT to be delivered in the first place and they charged us $2.49 for!!! So I went to their office, this must be some kind of mistake right? Absolutely NOT! While I was there another customer in front of me was obviously having the same trouble! He was screaming at them and asking if they were crazy DEMANDING THEY GET THEIR TANKS OFF HIS PROPERTY! Asking How could they sleep at night knowing they were charging over double what anyone else in the area was for propane? All the lady kept saying to him is they use only American propane and how could he compare their pricing to other companies prices??? This really got me wondering, after all isn't this what we/consumers and customers always do? If not as a Aero energy customer YOU SHOULD! Now it was my turn in-line and I must say immediately I was curious about many of the statements made by Aero and had even more questions but now expected little progress to be made on my part? As you may expect I left over $3,000 poorer and VERY frustrated! I got the exact same story and lies the customer in front of me received so I went home to investigate a bit.... Appalled by what I found! He/the guy in front of me was RIGHT! Propane in our area was currently selling for $0.99 a gallon not the $2.49 ("Market Price") they were charging us and the rest of their customers! 90% of all propane currently selling in PA is American made propane and natural gas! In fact there is very little if any difference in propane sold in America Today! Aero claimed that all companies charge to pick up tanks they own and DO NOT refund money for any propane not used? I simple search and few phone calls seems to prove this to is a lie! When I asked why they didn't want to pay for/refund propane that we asked NOT TO BE DELIVERED and have been charged for, she simply replied they didn't have to and had Attorneys to answer those questions! So I threaten legal actions AND THEN was offered what she called "rack" pricing for the remainder of the propane but would then have to pay $80 service charge for them to pick up the tanks and collect the remainder of the propane? Not at all trusting them to do so or be honest about how many gallons they collected we asked that they let the OVER PRICED propane for us to use what was left... She said they couldn't and would not let tanks for 3 years so we could use what was left! Wait is she joking? We used according to them 2400 gallons in less then 2 years but some how this 40-50 gallons was now going to last 3 years? After all we had asked 4 times now that they STOP bringing propane but they continued to do so! When I demanded she answer why they did this and refuse to pick-up the tanks, why they would let a budget plan get over $3,000 behind before canceling or notifying the customer? She actually replied "They didn't want to look like a irresponsible delivery and propane company or let us go with-out propane!" So of course I asked how it was irresponsible to do what your customer asked and that wasn't it really that they knew they were ripping off their customers and over charging for their services by more then double what the local competitor was charging? She then demanded immediate payment for the total amount and threatening legal action and promised they would destroy our credit if we didn't make said payment! So I told her she could explain her and Aero energy actions to the local PUC and Attorney Generals office! She laughed and said they had Attorneys to do that and hung up! Ask yourself before dealing with this company why they need to keep on retainer a Attorney to answers such questions? Only 1 answer why one would endure such cost, They often find themselves in this situation and being asked such questions often! Please WATCH their billing methods and delivery practices! Be VERY VERY careful when dealing with them and CHECK EVERYTHING they do or I bet you will find yourself in a bad situation costing you A LOT OF MONEY AND LOSS! Or save yourself a ton of grief and just call Mason's propane to pay less then half what Aero energy is charging! read more

After agreeing to purchase 1600 gallons at $2.09 per gallon and satisfying my agreement, I was told my first delivery within the agreement period was not part of the agreement. The salesman discounted the first order by 10 cents per gallon, and as a result, that first order of 731 gallons violated the contract agreement. Bottom line: after paying $3200+ for AERO propane in the past 2 years and arguing with Tammy on the phone who wants to tell me something about my order being at the end of the season and not part of the agreement, they want their 10 cents back per gallon for the first order. $73.16 is what we are talking about hear folks. I must plug service rep Robin who was extremely helpful and friendly but I cannot say the same for Tammy. AERO should take a few pages from the Nordstrom Customer Service book on how to deal with the public. I have a 1000 gallon tank and I'm going to need propane for a long time but guess who won't be getting any of my business. AMERIGAS is currently offering a rate of $1.59. read more
