They then loaded the furniture and boxes with the same care and efficiency. At the destination they followed the item markings (Kitchen, Bedroom 3, TV room, etc.) and everything was placed where I wanted it to be. The interstate move for our parents was an awful experience that could have been avoided. Gary did not take into account emails sent well in advance of moving day and did not communicate to clear up any misunderstandings. My parents ended up paying Gary over $4000 more than quoted and the move required an unplanned separate trip on a different day, due to him sending too small a truck. This caused a domino effect of problems for my parents to figure out at the very last minute. Gary's explanation was that my dad was "confused." However my dad's emails explained all very clearly; Gary was the one confused due to his lack of attention. Then it took TEN days for the 2nd delivery of their things. Instead of being apologetic, acknowledging his mistakes which we would've respected, Gary blamed all on the customer, literally claiming nothing was his fault. I'd definitely stay away from this company and go with someone more highly rated.

I've moved several times and hired professional movers before but I've never had movers take a single light box at a time to the truck and try to have a conversation with you when they come back in for the next one. They complained often about how heavy my furniture was, how many steps there were, and how much their backs hurt. They also took the time to ask if I was leaving anything, cause if I was, they wanted it. They were so unprofessional! My parents and I ended up moving all the light stuff out to the truck just to get them moving. We also helped when we got to the storage facility. I've never had to work so hard when I hired movers before! We were sore for days! Even with us helping, they still managed to drag out my move a total of 4 hours! I had everything boxed up or wrapped and ready to go when they got there and it still took that long. That's twice as long as I expected and they charge by the hour! It was the most expensive move I've ever had! I really feel like I got cheated. And they hovered around fishing for tips after we were finished! The two young men, who are volunteer firefighters, getting paid about $42 each for 2 hours. Since we had lots of boxes packed, most were donations from downsizing to move. I was very specific that they were to be given to a charity. My favorite charity may have been closed but there is at least one more on the way. I was told no one would take the donations so they don't know what happened to all the nice stuff. I offered them anything they might have wanted but they said no but in order to do this, we HAVE TO RENT A U-HAUL! i GAVE THE YOUNG MEN $300 IN CASH AND THEN THE OWNER, CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $467 MORE DOLLARS FOR THE RENTAL U-HAUL! He does not have a truck for moving, but simply for his tools. Do NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH HIM BY PHONE. MAKE HIM GIVE YOU EVERYTHING IN WRITING - IT IS THE ONLY WAS I WAS REFUNDED THE $467 ON MY CREDIT CARD. SAD!

I had mentioned many times to optimize…read morethe boxes weight close to 50 lb to help me account for the shipping labels (that were bought as per weight) but boxes even as light as 10 lb were packed and these variations costed me a lot of money for something that I could pay much lesser. 3. It is common sense to pack food and home supplies separately to avoid any spillage but after receiving the box, I understood that the packers lacked it. Needless to say a lot of my food bought from my own country had to be thrown in the garbage. 4. Due to improper packing, my boxes were held by the USPS and repacked by them which caused some items to go missing from their center. 5. I had clearly mentioned that everything either goes in boxes or suitcases. It can be verified that a lot of my clothes were just moved into a "black cloth bag". On calling to rectify this mistake I was addressed with an arrogant tone without an apology, although it was rectified that night as per their convenience. 6. I wonder how this one happened - My daughter's boots come in two different boxes which again were delivered to me on two different days. 7. I guess this is the last one yet most important, my glassware reached me all in small pieces since they packed GLASSWARE in PAPER!!!! $125 is not a small amount for packing materials. One star for being timely (despite getting out of my apartment twice to deal with 'other work'). NEVER EVER EVER HIRE THEM!
