My experience with Ameri-gas has been terrible. I am waiting as of 2-20 for my delivery I ordered 2-20 my gage is now at 10 percent we are suppose to get a storm this weekend I will probably run out. As for there office in New castle the worst custo.er service ever u.can never get se1 there cause they ship there calls overseas. I have a million times I M done with them I no others with the same feeling. I hope there ceo and board of directors receive this message! The worst customer service,they hang up on you,they lie.I called for service for fireplace they wouldn't listen to what I was saying instead they kept insisting that I was saying I had a gas leak which I did not sent guy out anyway told him there wasn't any it was the switch on fireplace I have done business with them for many years but the last few they have been horrible on automatic delivery they let me run out twice in the coldest months call emergency line they never called the person on call now I have a credit with them and I have been arguing for three weeks for my refund they keep making excuses and hanging up what ever you do don't use this company there are much better ones out there in the past I would have given them a ten star rating but I wouldn't give the a one star the star up above is only for show they don't deserve it read more

Negative stars!!! Wow, how rude! I called to get their current propane price in hopes to find a new propane provide. They wanted my info to 'put in their system' and when i asked for just the current propane rate I was unexpectedly hung up on. Congrats, tgey just lost another potential customer. read more

Zero stars if I could. They refuse to tell us when we can expect delivery. I paid on December 20th, we still have not received delivery. We were without heat or the ability to use our stove in the coldest winter in decades, and they literally did not care. I asked to speak to a supervisor, see if they could give me a date, I was told I could pay them an additional $300 to get it in 72 hours, then she hung up on me. The website quoted me 7 days. It's been 14 days and no date in sight. Our propane tanks are leased through Amerigas and we are renting, otherwise I'd just change providers because Amerigas is the worst. read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would. I was informed that had a propane leak. The tech Sean said that he would charge me an additional $168 To find and fix the leak. I agreed and he sat at the tank then came to the door and said that I would have to call a plumber bc he couldn't find the leak. I was still charged the additional $168. The plumber came out and fixed the leak. He said that it was in an external pipe and that the tech could easily have found and fixed it if he tried. I was also informed that the way in which he locked the tank was very dangerous. The pipe was fixed Saturday and it is Monday and I still have no gas. I tried to call the manager and he never contacted me back. I have made numerous complaints and nothing. This company is very unprofessional. Stay away from this company at all costs. read more

The service i s very poor I ran out of gas and they want to charge $300 for delivery. You can not even understand the the person you call to get an order . There is not gagauage on the tank to let you know when it is low . Also they will not let you talk to a any one else for clarifaction. read more

The company charged me for a delivery that was never made . I wound up paying $2,000 that I didn't owe but was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and didn't have the mental or physical ability to take that on. I will NEVER EVER return as a customer even if they have the lowest rate. read more

Amerigas holds their customers hostage with the ownership of the tank thing. As a result, you can't have anyone else deliver propane to you. Having said that, Amerigas charges twice as much as it's competitors. When I complained, they said they offer special services that other firms do not. I've had them as my gas supplier since I moved into this home in 2001. THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN TO MY ADDRESS FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN GAS DELIVERIES ! ! ! What extra and or special services??? I've spoken with others in our development and they concur,.... Amerigas engages in price gouging ! ! ! I would recommend a "Ma and Pa" small shop over these highway robbers ! ! ! I'm still getting prices and all five providers are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than Amerigas ! ! ! My advice for those looking for a new propane supplier,.... DO NOT PICK AMERIGAS ! ! ! Worst company ever! I use the AmeriGas out of Delaware and their office is dysfunctional. The staff have no idea what they're doing and do not follow up EVER. They say they'll look into your inquiry and call you back - NOT. They will never call you back. You will never hear from them and then when you call their office back in an effort to get answers you have to start all over again with a new staff member. They will not transfer your call to the original staff member who assured you they would call you back. This company overbills, doesn't write contracts correctly and never resolves the billing mistakes. Not to mention they overcharge for propane anyway. I deal with the folks out of New Castle De and on occassion individuals from King of Prussia office. Both offices have reached out to me and have been very responsive to my needs. The New Castle office manager has taken the time to call and indicated that she will assist me in reviewing the best propane pan for me to consider for the 2013-2014 propane year. The office out of King of Prussia listened and responded to my requests for billing data and discount information. It has been indeed a pleasure to work with both individuals. I have been with this company since I moved into the area in 2004 & had an issue then when I moved in & have had issues with this company when it changed from Penn Fuel Propane to its present Company Name. I am not pleased with them at all & in the future, if I can, I will be looking for other Companies in my area, to check & see if I can discontinue my service with this Company & switch to someone else. There have been problems in the past & in talking to them, I was not at all satisfied with the outcome. read more
