I had my propane tank filled last July 2025, it took only 26 gallons. Normally I would get 50 or more gallons. Something was wrong with my tank. I asked the guy delivering the propane to pass this on to whoever repairs tanks. So far I have heard nothing. Today, in September, I called the 800 number (when I signed up with Amerigas they had a local office in Roseburg, but then they moved it to Grants Pass, but now if you call the local number listed for Amerigas, it sends you to, I believe, Cincinnati, Ohio, Their is no local person you can talk to). I finally got a real person to talk with, but I could not understand her, I believe she might have been from Pakistan or a similar country. She was helpful, but as I said hard to understand. She said something about scheduling someone to come out to look at my tank (I think), but then she started on about what it was going to cost me! I stopped her right there and told her I rented the tank from them so why should I have to pay Amerigas to have to come to my place to fix or replace their broken propane tank? She really had no answer for this and continued on with what it was going to cost me. As I mentioned previously, I was still having trouble understanding what she was saying, but when she said the cost was going to around $300, I told her to forget it, I'll just call for a delivery when the tank runs out! I had complained several times previously about their being no local control, but to no avail. On a positive note, all of the guys delivering the propane were great! First: 5 Stars to the young lady who works in the office in Grants Pass (telephone conversations). 3 Stars for the gentleman who came out to fill the tank. 1 Star for communication between employees and billing. Equals 2 Star Rating... The communication outweighed the other Stars. I really couldn't get extra propane as the young lady in the office said. So said the propane deliverer. Oh, wait, I could. But it would be a real hassle for him. He was friendly and professional. This was on someone else's account, as they knew. And I told them to send the bill to that person. They didn't. I called three times, never answered. Called again today, no answer, wait time was 50 minutes. I didn't wait. So, 2 Stars for all the hassles. The company should hire more people like the office person. Thank you for your time. read more

So they canceled my scheduled delivery without notice. So now I have no heat and nope they did not deliver in 24 hours as promised. And now they say may be 7 days. Guess this is how they treat 100% disabled people. I shut the system down at 10% to avoid a inspection fee but now after two days of freezing I turned it on to 58 so when it runs out I have to be on emergency delivery! WHY and who gave them the authority to cancel my scheduled deliver?. They did this to me last year too. I WILL be searching for other companies and resourses of heat. I pay about $300 a month as it is. And this delivery will be over $400.00. I HATE YOU AMERIGAS worst company I ever dealt with in 67 years!! If I could give them negative stars I would. February 2023 I called Amerigas to schedule a delivery and they were 2 weeks passed the promised delivery date. Then November 15 I scheduled a delivery and was told they would deliver no later then November 27th, they arrived on the 30th. The driver filled my tank and then lost a part so disconnected my tank and was told he will not be back until December 6th so now we do not have access to our propane until he can find the item He lost. I would have given ONE STAR, but their delivery guys are really good and their prices are competitive, which is really the only reason we've stayed. The MAJOR PROBLEM is their customer service, scheduling and communications. Absolutely horrible, and this has been from the beginning, five years now. Latest snafu: New propane tank scheduled for delivery. No show. No call. Called customer service and was informed it would be delivered the next day. No show, no call. Called again and escalated. Rescheduled FOR A MONTH LATER. It was finally delivered this morning. WITHOUT ORDERS FOR CONNECTION! Just drop off the tank??? Yeah, that's helpful... The awesome delivery guy escalated to his manager, who is supposed to expedite the remaining steps to complete the installation. (BTW, our guy said this happens all the time. (!!)) We're looking at another two weeks to month for completion. Totally unacceptable. read more

These guys have terrible business practices. I signed up for automatic delivery years ago and they never came and filled when I got low, so I ran out of propane 5 times! They kept increasing their prices every fill until the last one was $1.50 more per gallon than any of the other companies. I finally switched to Blue Star and told Amerigas to come get their tank. This was in January and the tank is still sitting in my driveway 5 MONTHS LATER!!!! Repeated calls to ask them to come get their tank are ignored. I am finally taking legal action and may have to sue them to get their tank off my property. read more

I used Amerigas last year when I bought my new propane stove. Their propane price was something like $1.75/gal. This year they told me it was $3.75, due to the hurricanes. I called another company and found out I could get it for $1.95/gal. Guess they didn't know about the hurricanes. Would not use Americas again!! Check other companies for prices people. read more

After 5 phone calls in the past 15 days we still have not had the delivery that was promised to us for last Tuesday or today!! No one answering at 5:40p so called the emergency number. After being on hold for 20 minutes, we were told that for an additional $150 we could have delivery this evening! Wonder if anyone will answer the phone at 8am tomorrow!! We have been customers for over 20 years but are looking at other options! read more

I was very unhappy with Amerigas customer service and over the past two years they have improved service in the office and also have a plan to keep your per gallon rate from rising. Cute smiley delivery guys! read more
