On 12-30 25 we went to our home in Lake Havasu found that the propane tank was at 10%, it showed approximately 50% on 9-1-25. The system had been shut down since that time. Amerigas was called and showed on 1-6-26. I was advised the tank had 3 leaks. Approximately 3 hours was fixed(?) and 168 gals put in, the tank is 40 years old. On 1-16-26 there web site I was below 80%. It appeared it ws leaking again .Amerigas was called they came out informed me that web site was only an estimate and the tank was not leaking, received a bill for $559,14. Also complained that the tank is leaning against the neighbors wall (1200 lbs.) they didn't want to correct the problem. I have called there customer service number several times 1-800-263-7442 which is answered by someone in Kenya (Africa) requested to speak to an American representative, they refused and will not take call information. Have spoken with Lake Havasu Fire Dept. they are not happy with Amerigas. Have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Rating 0 read more

DONT GO WITH THEM, I called 2 weeks ago they were supposed to have someone out to change the tanks due to construction and the rep advised that they would have this resolved within 2 weeks, I called now that we are at the 2 week mark. I get someone that can not speak English and can just take a message. They also don't send your bills to you until it is late so they can charge a late fee. read more

Horrible. Called them and went through their phone menu just to put on hold for a while. When the phone started ringing again it went to a two question questionnaire and then hung up on me. I moved here in May and had them fill my tank. It required two appointments. The first was the person who simply verified the tank was theirs, even though the previous homeowner used their service. The second person arrived and the first thing he said was wow, that tank needs replaced and that he was going to put in a ticket for replacement. I was really low so I had him fill it. He overfilled it saying don't worry, it has a valve if it's too full. So I'm paying for propane that's expected to leak? Well, I'm down to 40% from 90% in five months for my stove and water heater, not a furnace and can't get ahold of them on the phone to replace the tank. If the first person would have said your tank needs replaced, let's do it while it's really low, this would have been completely avoidable. I CANT EVEN GIVE ONE STAR FOR THIS AMERIGAS CO OF LAKE HAVASU. 5 years ago we bought a house that had an America's tank that supplies our propane. They are very good at billing for the tank. The problem is last October my wife walked past the tank and smelt leaking propane. She called right away to report the leak. They did send out a very nice man to check it. It said he tried to seal it but couldn't. At this point he disconnect it so we had no propane. He called his office and told us that someone would be right out to change the leaking tank. After numerous calls and promises to send someone out. The bottom line is NOTHING was done. Nov 24 the day before Thanksgiving someone came out. We asked is he going to exchange the tank. He said the only thing they told him was the tank was RED TAGED and check it out. So for four weeks we couldn't cook and now we told him that we can't even cook the Thanksgiving dinner we had bought. He said well let's see what I can do. He reconnected the tank to the house. He said it's still leaking but you can cook your dinner tomorrow and someone will be sent out in a day or so to replace the leaking tank. Today is Jan 4th 2021. The tank is still leaking. I called this morning and the recording said someone would be with you in 15 min. Now it's 1 hour and 25 min and I'm still on hold. If I ran my company like this I would have been out of business years ago, I'm in year 55 of my co. There are other choices and if you need propane DON'T USE AMERIGAS! I did ask if my house blows up from their leaking tank would they be responsible.... THERE WAS NO RESPONSE FROM THEIR AGRNT. read more

When you call to order gas. And you miss placed your account information to do it online. You will have to call. The on hold information that they give you says you will be answered in the order it was received. You will be on hold for 49min. After that it disconnects you. Then you have to start all over again. Then wait another 49min and it will hang up on you. By the fourth time. You'll just start a new Service with another company a lot closer to your home. This is a horrible company/corporation. They rave about customer service yet the customers can't get a hold of them. It seems you could only get a hold of them if you want to start a new account but not if you have an existing account. do not use this company. lies and deception. no representative in the area. the headquarters is in pennsylvania. the agents lie and transfer you to parts unknown. i have called and logged 13 times about my tank rental. it went from $80.29 to $963.00. overnight. that was after the original rental payment was satisfied. i had to cancel service, got no explanation or satisfaction. this was the worse business i have ever dealt with. i have no idea how they are still in business. please save yourself the headaches and go elsewhere. read more

Negative Stars, but the review won't post unless I put a start. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. ZERO customer service. Their website NEVER works. They don't respond to emails. Their live chat doesn't work. I prepaid for 200 gallons of propane and 2 weeks later I still do not have propane. They used to be the best. Always answering the phone and helpful, now you are routed to a call center in another country! One of the agents I talked to in an Asian accent told me she wanted to make me "Happy, Happy" and could not answer my questions!!!! They are now the worst ever. I would rate them a negative 100 if I could. My automatic delivery stopped for some reason. Now I am a disabled widow with no way to cook, take a warm bath, heat my home, etc!!! They deserve 0 stars. This is truly the worse vendor of any product I have had to deal with in 35+ years. Pathetic- and they offer all of the excuses they need to justify their pathetic service. I have a commercial account and they would forget to service us regularly. Then, they increased our costs 100% to over $4.00 gallon, without notice. When I called, they said they would reverse it, and never did. My company is Oasis Super Storage, I am not afraid to admit that. Go to Ferellgas if you want quality service and fair price. AmeriGas will rip you off in a minute, as they did to me for 2 years. Truly the worse vendor I have had to deal with since opening my business in Needles 20 years ago. read more
