And by gosh if I could see the traffic stopping I know he could. I was slowing down and he wasn't. I try to keep a short distance on HWY 34 when stopping because it is a terrible HWY. I had to get very close to the car in front of me to try on my part to avoid getting rear ended. Just in the nick of time he slammed on his brakes. I could hear the sound as he slammed on them and came within inches of hitting me. When we got closer to Loveland he got into the other lane and at a stop light I was able to snap a photo of his license. And then was able to get the unit number. He saw me take the photo and did finally drive better not tailgating. I am turning him in for this. But please for your own safety WATCH OUT FOR THEIR DRIVERS around the Loveland area. Lowered my rating due to this extremely careless driver. Otherwise it would have been a 5

Ok, first of all the Mercantile no longer goes by that name. It is now under the name Bomgarrs and…read morethey are very different in quality so I will go ahead and kill two birds with one stone here by reviewing The Mercantile and Bomgarrs. As The Mercantile this was a great place. The overall quality of the merchandise was good! They had ranch and farming clothes, supplies, feed for all of your rural yard pets, gardening supplies, some building supplies and more! The thing that drew me to The Mercantile almost every year(and I am NOT a farm and ranch person, despite being raised on a ranch) was going to see the little baby birds that they sold. They had baby geese, turkeys, chickens and ducks! All very adorable and very tempting to buy! I have the property to have these birds as pets but I live near a pasture and there are foxes all over so I know that they wouldn't last two seconds at my house and unfortunately I don't have suitable accommodations for them. Now onto Bomgarrs. I would give them anywhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. When I was in here a few days ago I was expecting it to be more or less the same as the Mercantile, just the name change. While that is more or less true as to what happened there are differences that the picky consumer would notice. Some of the merchandise is not quite as high quality that The Mercantile had. Some things seemed very cheap looking and the prices didn't necessarily reflect that on everything. They did have baby birds still but only a handful of chicks which looked dirty, slightly sickly and wings that looked like they got ruffed up a bit like they into a fight. There were no other baby birds here but chickens this time though there were other cages than just the three occupied ones that were here but nothing was in them. Bomgarrs also seems to have an expanded hardware section that I didn't notice as much with The Mercantile as well as lawn furniture. In the hardware section I was looking at chainsaws that I was pondering on buying because I have a tree that should be sawed down at home. There wasn't really a modest price range with the chainsaws. Maybe since I don't have a clue about chainsaws that they all come between $170-$500 but if I remember correctly from last year browsing for one there were more modestly priced ones out there and seemed liked they would hold together after you started sawing. they had a chainsaw that was about $60.00 but looked like it couldn't hold up for very long. Bomgarrs has about all of the same merchandise as The Mercantile did after those said differences. I can't say that I won't ever go back to Bomgarrs but the overall impression was not very high as to when it was under The Mercantile moniker. The Mercantile must have sold to another company or something if there is that many 'subtle' differences going on.

Ben was extremely thorough with the measurements and details, and talking with Albert over the weekend was an absolute breeze. They found exactly what I needed and made the whole process seamless. I'm guessing, they only do business with contractors now, because they don't answer phones, don't update the website, don't list any locations for customers... but somehow claim they are still open. I guess uncle Benny only cares about his political campaign now. What a shame, I used to wander the yard and leave with hundreds of dollars worth of stuff I didn't know I needed.

I went to the store because I saw that an item was $14.98 on the Lowe's website. At the store, it…read moresaid $17.48. So I took it up to the checkout area, and it did ring up for $17.48. I asked the nearest associate about it, and he said that not only is it cheaper online, they are not allowed to price-match on the spot. So I ordered it online on the spot. Stood around and waited for a half-hour or so, during which I saw many employees standing around talking to each other and such. Finally we left for lunch. After lunch, we headed back to Lowe's and went to the customer service counter, where I asked if they could please get my one-item order. The girl wanted to be helpful and went to find it. She was gone a LONG time. Finally she came back with my single item. So basically about 3 man-hours were wasted (my daughter was with me) because Lowe's won't match THEIR OWN PRICES at checkout. If you ever wonder why some people like Home Depot better, just know that there's no way in hell that Home Depot would have wasted our time like this. They're more respectful of their customers than that.

I ordered a grill online for pickup using a gift card, they charged the gift card then immediately…read morecanceled the order, when I asked it said vendor rejection. They said my gift card was redeemed so I can't use it anymore so they would send a new one to my address on file within 14 days. My old address was on file and no way to change it. I was picking up the grill so I didn't check my address online. I am now out $200 because they had an item on their site that was not available. I called customer service twice, one was unable to help me or escalate, the other hung up on me. Stay away from Lowe's online, especially when using a gift card.

I went to Rockler once at the Denver location. What a contrast from Woodcraft. Woodcraft of Loveland, Colorado has staff super knowledgable, helpful, and overly willling to offer ideas and advise. I learned so much because the Woodcraft staff seem like its their job to interact and educate where they can. I'm sure this varies by location but these two stores tell a different tale. I become a confirmed Woodcraft fan after my Rockler experience. Also, when I got home from Rockler, I realized they sold me a protion of purpleheart thats cracked. I never had any issues or complaints about the products bought at Woodcraft. In fact, twice from pen kits, I damaged a piece and they replaced it without any issues. Great customer services will keep me coming back.
