I went to the store because I saw that an item was $14.98 on the Lowe's website. At the store, it said $17.48. So I took it up to the checkout area, and it did ring up for $17.48. I asked the nearest associate about it, and he said that not only is it cheaper online, they are not allowed to price-match on the spot. So I ordered it online on the spot. Stood around and waited for a half-hour or so, during which I saw many employees standing around talking to each other and such. Finally we left for lunch. After lunch, we headed back to Lowe's and went to the customer service counter, where I asked if they could please get my one-item order. The girl wanted to be helpful and went to find it. She was gone a LONG time. Finally she came back with my single item. So basically about 3 man-hours were wasted (my daughter was with me) because Lowe's won't match THEIR OWN PRICES at checkout. If you ever wonder why some people like Home Depot better, just know that there's no way in hell that Home Depot would have wasted our time like this. They're more respectful of their customers than that. read more

I ordered a grill online for pickup using a gift card, they charged the gift card then immediately canceled the order, when I asked it said vendor rejection. They said my gift card was redeemed so I can't use it anymore so they would send a new one to my address on file within 14 days. My old address was on file and no way to change it. I was picking up the grill so I didn't check my address online. I am now out $200 because they had an item on their site that was not available. I called customer service twice, one was unable to help me or escalate, the other hung up on me. Stay away from Lowe's online, especially when using a gift card. read more

Waste of time ! Last Thursday around 10:30 I waited in the paint area for a LONG TIME WITH NO HELP. Across the hall is customer service I yelled over there if they could get somebody to help me .....there is four employees in customer service -one of them called and made an announcement. I continued to wait in the paint area. Nothing nobody came - customer service area didn't even bother to acknowledge that nobody came from the announcement so I left, grabbed a few other items I needed and went back to the paint section. PLEASE do not buy appliances from Lowe's. I purchased 9,000 worth of appliances from Lowe's; washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove and dish washer just over a year ago. There have been issues with each appliance, but the washer has been not working off and on the entire time and has cost me warranty costs and $800 in repairs. Recently it stopped working and will cost another $1000. I called to return it because that is more than a new machine. The manager, Tamika, was going to call after she spoke with Whirlpool who owns Maytag, but she never called back and I have no idea that she even called. Lowe's has disappointed me beyond compare - from 5 starts to zero if possible. There was a time I wouldn't dream of buying flooring anywhere else. But never again! They sold "in-stock" pad that was not in stock forcing us to compromise at the last minute. We never did get any padding - had to buy it elsewhere. Our carpet was delivered to the store a week after the first scheduled install. On the second install day scheduled for 8-noon they did not show or call. When I called they said they would be there before 2. Another no show no call. Unable to reschedule any time soon leaving with bare floors, exposed tack strips, and my furniture in my kitchen they offered a refund or discounted sale where I had to find my own installer with no warranty. The flooring desk never answers the phone, they lost my order, they have zero sense of urgency, they miss commitments and just don't seem to care. The manager agreed to make it all right and call me back before 5pm two days later. After no call back I showed up at the store and he said sorry but I did t get to it - zero empathy and care. In the end I had to transport the carpet, buy pad elsewhere and arrange my own installer. They were generous enough to to sell the carpet at a discount - hardly enough to pay for the inconvenience and in the end the entire job cost more and took more than a month longer than expected. read more

Within 15 minutes he helped us select the right stackable washer/dryer for my daughters studio apartment. We were thrilled the unit was in stock. Matt helped us load the appliance and we were on our way in less than 20 minutes of walking into the store. I appreciated that he was happy to help and was quick to get the job done. Purchased siding on a Sunday and requested it be cut in 12"x 48" pieces. I said I would pickup on Tuesday. On Tuesday they had the siding pulled but not cut, so they said we will cut the siding. The woman who was trying to help me was visibly frustrated. I gave them till Wednesday afternoon. While driving home they called and wanted the measurements for the cuts, I provided the info. They called again about 5 minutes later said they could not cut the siding due to the saw motor and blade overheating. I said ok I will come in tomorrow to receive my refund. They called again 5 minutes later saying don't bother we will cancel the transaction and you will get your money in a couple days. In a previous interaction at Lowes in Loveland they accused my wife and I of switching price tags. When the associate who assisted us on the floor had changed the price because they had the product in the wrong shelf. The associate had to clear the misunderstanding after we were humiliated and received no apology. I went to Home Depot and they cut the siding with no issue and no waiting. Needless to say I will not return to Lowes and will cancel my credit card with Lowes. Home Depot has earned my business. read more

It was 1979 when The Buggles announced in a snappy little tune that "Video Killed The Radio Star". It was 26 years later (Valentines Day, 2005, to be exact) when YouTube was born and gave hope to a new generation of Do-It-Yourself folks....and then eventually killed off the men and women who worked at Lowe's and Home Depot. I mean, we really stopped needing them about 10 years ago. The Circle Of Life is real. Sad, maybe - but real. Today, we visited the Loveland Lowe's to check out some new faucet options. On the way out, we stopped in the blinds section to ask a question about some Levolor blinds we bought several months ago from their store. We opted to have the blinds shipped to the house and do our own installation (thanks be to the Valentines Baby of 2005). The blinds arrived exactly on time, and they installed exactly as the instructions (and multiple videos) said they would. All good.....until we tried closing them. You see, these blinds were so tightly wound that we had to hang on them to get them to close. They opened very nicely, however, so we decided to just leave them mostly open and hope that the occasional opening and closing would cause some sort of miracle. Miracles must have been needed elsewhere, because it's nearly a year - and the blinds still take 50 lbs of down pressure and a near hernia to lower. So the visit to the blinds department today was a whim. I figured we'd at least give some feedback on the Levolor product - but our hopes weren't with us. And then along cane Roberta - a walking, talking mirage from the days when helpful folks walked the Lowes rows and told us that YouTube caused blindness. Roberta made a difference in our lives today. She listened to the issues, she got online, and she attacked the problem. She then took my name and number and offered to call me tomorrow to let me know how she worked over the Levolor people (ok, my words there) and got things straightened out. She knew the warranty terms and absolutely took accountability to find a solution. Thank you, Roberta!! And thanks to Loveland Lowe's for holding on to some of the best parts of DIY - the people who help us, and don't require a good wireless connection to access them! read more

We ordered our refrigerator, washer, and dryer in the store. First delivery, all the appliances were dented and they send them all back. Two weeks later no one call to let us know the 2nd delivery date. 2nd delivery got our refrigerator, No washer and dryer. Called the store again the next day, they said the washer and dryer delivered and I told them no they sent all the appliances back in the 1st delivery. They said they will call back the next day to reschedule the delivery. One week later, no one call and never got our washer and dryer. If you need just a basic widget and can find it yourself the store is useful. If you need anything specific or different go anywhere else and heaven help you if you need assistance of any kind. Tried to order a custom storm door. Go through the process, pay up front. I was told it would be in in three to four weeks. Tried to call the store and check on my order at five weeks. No one could help me. So I go to the store, thinking my order must be in by now only to be told it will be another three months. No phone call, no basic customer service skills. Ask for the manager and she's on vacation. Ask for the assistant manager and she's too busy to speak with me. What a worthless crew and waste of time. read more

Went to pick it up with my newborn in the car, but no one answered the phone for 25 minutes- 8 disconnects and one flat out hang up. Tried again today - same thing. Waited outside for 30 minutes, then ended up having to go in the store and wait an additional 25 minutes to be helped at pickup while random employees wandered and stood around aimlessly. It has been three and a half weeks since I purchased a washer, dryer, and refrigerator from this store, I have now had one wrong refrigerator delivered, two other delivery appointments where no one showed up, and exactly 21 calls with the store. Every time I end up speaking with a different person and they give me conflicting information. More often than not I am told "Let me look into it and get some more information" and they never return the call. I will never purchase appliances from Lowes ever again, nor can I in good conscience recommend Lowes appliances to anyone. read more

I have given them so many chances because they are. Lose. The first time we ordered artificial grass for our dog in a specific size. We get there they no longer have it.. and on top of that they don't have anyone there who can cut it. SOOOOO we end up buying an insanely larger piece for twice the price. So many other times asking employees where things are and all you get is attitude or they will just point and keep walking. I went in last week to buy a hidden key rock and I had been walking in circles for like 20 min no employee even stopped to ask if I needed anything, finally I interrupted this employees phone game and asked "could I ask you a question really quickly" and he rolled his eyes pointed me at where they should be and I let him know yes I already looked at the key cutter any chance anywhere else, and he simply said well then I guess not huh. Today we buy nails for the backyard we walk up and she asks the price we give her the price and she says it doesn't matter I have to look it up. We wait 5 min they have 3 people on it and no price nothing. So I ask a manager if your coming up can you ring up the stuff I'm going to get since I'm not buying these. He reply's with attitude "well she's the one who would know"..... wait no I just said she didn't know and her and another employee have been looking it up. I don't want them now hahaha... my husband wanted me to wait so we can go to one of his companies supply houses and I guess now I regret saying lowest is fine! DO NOT GO HERE! So I went to this Lowe's with my friends so they could find some lawn furniture and I could find the plumbing fixtures that I needed. We ended up making two trips to Lowe's the first one we did find their lawn furniture. The staff was very helpful in finding the lawn furniture and having it shipped to their home. For trip two I was looking for a handicap accessible shower head, a thing that you use to turn the water on that has a hot and cold indicator and a spigot for the bathtub that has a shower switch. I had the hardest time in the world getting simple answers to simple questions. My question was do these three pieces that I picked are they compatible with each other? Seems like a simple question but unfortunately not one of the employees was able to answer the question there was no one working in the plumbing department that day or at least at that time. I did not intend on making a third trip to this place. So I went ahead and bought the pieces and I figured my construction worker could tell me whether they worked. It's so sad that there wasn't one employee who could answer this simple question. Are these employees trained at all? Why are they only trained in their areas? I'm not a Karen but I really was annoyed at the lack of assistance that I received. Would not recommend this place if you have any questions on things that you don't know the answers too. The staff at this location are not informed on any area but theirs so you'll end up either waiting for the employees that section to come back or being forced to come back another day to speak to that employee. read more

I bought a washer and dryer. Had major issues from the onset with the company that delivered it. They set the directions for the washer in Spanish, did not turn on water valve when installing it, contractors spoke in Spanish and they seemed irritated they had to be there. A month after I purchased the gas dryer, it does not have power. Now I have to go through Whirlpool to get it fixed. We love our new refrigerator, and shopping for it at Lowe's was a pleasure. For us it was a major purchase, and my wife and I made three trips to the store to narrow down our options. Everyone we worked with in the appliance area and at checkout was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and helpful; and the delivery crew completed our long-range delivery with aplomb and strength - despite recent snows. Two shelves in the refrigerator turned out to be defective, and when I called back Lowe's, the appliance staff helped me work with the manufacturer to have them replaced. Easy peasey. Do you like brain aneurysms? Of course not. To avoid getting one all you have to do is avoid using Lowe's for flooring or its installation. Worst business dealing I have EVER experienced. Now, I can't generalize this for the entire Lowe's corporation but in particular, avoid this branch and their contractors (Juxtapose Flooring and Interiors). Needless to say, I have been extremely dissatisfied with how the installation process was handled. The overall negligence from every party involved on Lowes' and JFI's side is truly astonishing. I have never had such a bad experience with a company compared to this. Countless mistakes, numerous avoided emails, numerous avoided and/or unreturned phone calls. The manner this transaction has been handled has been appalling and extremely frustrating to say the least. This process was started in the middle of June when the in-home measurement was scheduled and was completed this month. A process that should have taken a month or two max. I bought a refrigerator and it was supposed to be delivered today. The delivery people did not find the doorbell or knock on the door. They left without even calling to see if we were home. We were home and saw them pulling away. They never came back to deliver refrigerator and blamed us for not answering the door when they did not knock, call the phone number or ring the doorbell. Not consistent in customer service. I bought a dishwasher, refrigerator and stove and arranged to have them delivered. I was told they would be delivered on X date. On X date, no one showed. I called to find out what was going on. I was told that it had been moved to a week later. Should have told me before waiting around for them during the two hour window. After appliances were delivered, I asked the delivery men if all of the parts were there and was told "yes." When my husband went to install the dishwasher and lo and behold, there were no retaining clips to fasten the dishwasher in place underneath the counter top. He went to Lowe's and told them that our DW was missing the clips. Customer service guy told him with an I don't care attitude- "sorry..you will need to go to some other store and buy them..." What the heck?? My husband wasn't happy and voiced his displeasure. A manager came up and said "no problem, we've got extra clips here" and opened a drawer right in front of the employee and pulled them out. We have purchased numerous expensive items at Lowe's and to get this I don't care attitude is infuriating. read more

We always shop Lowes but tried giving Home Depot one more try. Home Depot was a traumatic experience and waste of time we went to Lowes to purchase a Father's Day present, a large tool chest. Every single employee at Lowes was stellar. Management is doing something right. First, Lowes hires experienced retired individuals, young people with etiquette and knowledge, women that have a great attitude and knowledge, disabled persons with great skills to contribute. Second, the employees seem to be happy and enjoy what they do and are motivated to literally go the extra mile for the customer, literally. Third, employees work together to help the customer as they did for us. We are older customers and needed assistance loading the tool chest we purchased. The employees seeing that my elderly husband wanted to help, the were classy and asked him to supervise them. There is a recognition program at Lowes that is working. Always love Lowes but Home Depot no longer has nine lives with us. Only one hardware store to shop at, Lowes. read more

We had Lowes install our deck earlier this year. The price was good (the deck cost us nearly $10,000, which was about $2000 less than other estimates). We had difficulty with communication (supplies were delayed due to Covid, which is understandable, but we went weeks at a time with no communication and then suddenly the crew was at our front door; when deck was done everyone just disappeared and we never signed off on any paperwork), but the crew was polite and I feel the deck is solidly built. Ordered 2 shower doors to be installed 7/24. I understood one was special order & needed to be shipped. The other one was in stock. Got a call 8/16 saying both were in stock & scheduled installation for 8/21. (from both the store & the installer). On the morning of 8/21, got a call from the store saying that only 1 of the shower doors was available for installation & did I want to wait another 2 weeks to install both doors at the same time. Well of course not since I have already waited 4 weeks. I assumed it was the special order door that was the problem. Found out when the installer arrived, it was the "in stock" door that was no longer available. Turns out that they sold it to someone else!! It was already paid for & available all this time while we waited for the special order one. And then they sold it! And now I have to wait another 2 weeks for restock. My advise: If something is in stock, take it with you otherwise it won't be there when you need it. Even if you paid for it. Using Home Depot from now on. read more
