Needed background check for a job. The guy at desk was kind of rude. No good morning , how are you, how can I help you. Just a quick" I need an id". When I told him that the workplace only sent me a link for the paperwork needed to do livescan, he replied" we're not a printing service". Well, I know that! But could you do me a favor and print it out at the printer that's right next to you? He sighed loudly and said " this is the one time I do this"... I thanked him. I've been here before and honestly, the employees there are very rude overall. I guess a skill you need to get the job is to be a rude person at heart, but that's just a guess . The lady doing the fingerprints was actually pretty nice (she must've lied on her resume and put on there that's she is a rude person...). Anyway, fringed printing took less than a minute. This place is a JOKE!!! TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I went in one recent morning about 8:45am and was told I was late for an appointment that was scheduled by someone without telling me! The only person in the office, Ian, who was not doing anything and there were no other customers there then, told me to back! WHY? He was serving NO ONE. Think this jerk was just throwing his weight around and trying to show what a big shot he was by making me come back. So I return at the "scheduled-by-Ian the jerk" at the appointed time (actually I was a few minutes early, but never mind that) and then asked me for the paperwork. WHAT PAPERWORK? He never advised me of that! And NO, he could not print it out. H***, why should he? Afterall, he's so "busy". So I leave, returned to employer with said paperwork, and he FINALLY proceeds. I told him that because I wash my hands a lot, the prints may not show up well. He acknowledged what I said, supposedly made accommodations for this, and did the laser prints. I was notified by my employer that the FBI could not read my finger prints. 3 trips there, one jerk of an employee, Ian, 2+ wasted hours AND ALL FOR NOTHING!!! I am deeply appreciative of the service I received at Ameriprints in Rohnert Park. Alan Cox, the owner, is an absolute professional and a pleasure to work with. He is not a fingerprint technician. He is a Fingerprint Professor. He understands everything about fingerprinting, from the technology of Livescan and rolled prints to how and why fingerprints change as you age to how fingerprints are actually read, both by people and computer algorithms. I am exceptionally difficult to fingerprint. I needed an FBI Identity History Summary (aka FBI Background Check) that required fingerprinting. Alan was the SIXTH person who tried to get readable prints from me. I had previously failed Livescan, Slap technology (used at the Post Office) and rolled prints. Although the first two sets Alan took were not readable, he asked me to come back after he had a chance to do more research. I wasn't optimistic, given how much more he clearly already knew than the other people I had seen. He was, for example, the only person who had read the FBI literature I had found on how to improve fingerprint imaging and used the techniques they recommended. When I returned, Alan had me use a ridge enhancer that he was originally skeptical about, but decided to try. The first set we did that day failed, but the second set, where we used both the ridge enhancer and some capsaisin creme that the FBI recommended to me when I called them, PASSED! You could have knocked me over with a feather! With my FBI background check received, Alan recommended an apostille expediting service to me that has also been incredibly responsive. I absolutely trusted Alan's referral since I already knew I was in great hands (no pun intended) with him. You will not find better customer service anywhere. Alan clearly cares about his customers. His office mate, Hannah, is a pleasure to work with as well. They are both true professionals who run an efficient, clean and comfortable office. Many thanks to them both. read more

Short and simple; if people didn't actually need this place or if there were other places to go to, they wouldn't remain in business. My dad needed some background check and fingerprints done of some type that his lawyer asked for. He enters the store and is met with a rude lady with NO costumer skills (not even a hello was said). He asks for whatever his lawyer asked for and she tells him he needs a special form filled up and that he's going to have to come back. My dad calls his lawyer to confirm that is what he needed and his lawyer says "this is the FIRST time I have been asked for that form in my 30+ years of being a lawyer". My dad asks the lady if she could print the form and he would pay for the print so that he doesn't have to go home and print it and then come back. She coldly replied "no, we don't do that here". He came back home, got the form his lawyer emailed him, filled it up and went back again to this business and was met up with another man at the entrance who was really nice and informed my dad he didn't need those forms he had printed and filled up. Then proceeded to print some other forms so that my dad could filled them up. So the lady couldn't do that from the start? The rude lady was listening to their entire conversation and said nothing. So, I had previously posted a negative review regarding my second trip to this business and my interaction with the owner. I have now made three trips there and they just get progressively worse. On the last trip Mark, who could have completed my business on the second visit but did not, proceeded to swear at me using the f word, said I did not understand business. He said that this business does not need customers that the customers need the business so customer service is not necessary. He also referred to me as "entitled" . This to a woman who worked in customer interfacing business, management and training for 50 years as a single mom. I am so saddened that businesses need employees so badly that they have people like Mark who does his job poorly and who swears and calls customers names. I've seen a few poor reviews because of bad or lackluster customer service, which I have to say is surprising. I was fingerprinted in december and both people in the office were friendly and effecient. Today I realized I miss typed my email adress when I sent the reciept and called to follow up and have it resent. The person who answered was really kind and patient while they looked through transactions from a month ago. Fast, efficient, and professional. This business is the best place to go for livescan fingerprints. I previously went to the UPS store to get them done for the police academy, waited three weeks, missed the academy, and then went to Ameriprints only to be told that the UPS store put in my information incorrectly. Ameriprints completed my livescan in about 3 minutes, did it correctly, and explained to me exactly what UPS did wrong so that I could get a refund. Stopped by to get livescan fingerprinting done for a volunteer position, today. The person who assisted me was rather dour, didn't smile and was somewhat unresponsive to a concern I'd raised about the receipt. Not a big deal, but I was certainly not impressed by the service. I'm a real stickler for good customer care (hard to find, anymore), but I realize that all of us have good days and bad days and that I'm not always going to get service that thrills me. When I got the email survey asking about my experience, I mentioned I wasn't terribly happy. I was just trying to offer some honest feedback. What happened next was unexpected. Within minutes I got an email apologizing for my less-than-wonderful experience and informing me that my fee had been refunded to my credit card. This really was unnecessary, but clearly shows that the owners of this business care a great deal about doing a good job for folks and having happy, satisfied customers. I think it was actually quite generous of them to give me my money back, and I felt compelled to write a positive review, as a result. What was disappointing was zero customer service. When I walked in zero acknowledgement. I could see one employee in the small office, and while she was taking care of someone else, she did not even acknowledge me with a greeting or glance. Although this establishment does not take appointments and is convenient for walk-ins there is no mention of their lunch time closure so when arriveing today there was a sign on the door that said they were gone for lunch- argh bad timing. Attempting to call and reach someone ahead of time was disappointing as no one picked up the phone. read more

Oh, I got the report all right but it's not anything that I can read or decipher! The case number is not even on it and they won't assist with reading it. I've used their services two times now. First time the lady helped me and was rather unfriendly, which I didn't think too much of, everyone can have a bad day. I was trying to use their services recently. I was running behind, got there later than intended and it was a little more than 5 mins until closing. As soon as I'm about to walk in I hear the door lock. I check to make sure it is locked, and sure enough, it is. I wait outside for a second and the lady comes out (different person than last time) to leave and go home. I ask her what time they close and she says 6 o'clock and then says rather glibly, sorry. I understand wanting to leave work right on time, and maybe being a bit annoyed with a customer who might keep you over a few minutes, but as a place that's supposed to serve customers, you might actually want to SERVE customers. I will never go use their services again and go out of my way to tell other people not to use their services either. I've worked in plenty of customer service jobs, and yes, nobody likes the person who comes in last minute right before you close, but as a business, you still have to serve them. read more
