For the most part and over the last 3 years or so I used the Penngrove PO almost exclusively…read morebecause the one in Cotati was abysmal. (Maybe it is better now?) The folks at the Penngrove PO got to know me and were very helpful. I remember adding a positive review here on Yelp for this Penngrove PO may be 2 or 3 years ago and now its gone. Within the last 4 months or there was an "employee change" and things went downhill fast. Rude, dismissive and controlling behaviors that have no place in simple and straightforward transactions. I ship for 2 businesses and do a lot of eBay shipping and media mail for my other business. I really miss the old employees there and I don't know what to do other than try maybe the Rohnert Park or Sebastopol PO.

I live in Penngrove and run a small business out of my home that requires products to be mailed to…read morecustomers who order online. At one point last year I was mailing 40/50 orders 3 times a week. I was scared of losing packages so I asked for a tracking receipt and would have them scan the packages individually. Yes, very time consuming but I paid the postage and always let customers go in front of me if they arrived needing assistance with while I was there. I had no problem having the attendant stop to help the person behind me and then start scanning my packages again. Eventually the USPS representatives gave me so much push back asking me to do a manifest that I started leaving the packages with them and not asking for a receipt. I would just leave them at the counter. I brought pastries from across the street once as a peace offering but they were relentless. They started telling me I could arrange online for my post master to pick up my items from my house. I packed most of my orders in the middle of the night and the request to have my post master pick up had to be in before then so it didn't work for me. I pride myself still over a year later on shipping everything the next day so dropping off works best even now. With so many rolled eyes and passive aggressive comments I started going to Petaluma. No push back, no hard time, no flack. But today I went back out of convenience with maybe ten packages to the Penngrove USPS. I needed to tape and label 4 of them - it was 4:25 and what do you think my local post office had to say, they close in 3 minutes. Really, well then just let me do my thing in 3 minutes and take the packages. I'm also an RN, I wait on people hand and foot 12 hours a shift. I would never never respond to patients the way this post office responds to paying customers. I'd love to say it's just me, but I've watched them speak and treat other customers just as poorly if not worse. This place needs a whole staff overhaul because they are not welcoming or friendly to the small community.

First let me start off by explaining that 2 weeks ago I came to this UPS to have a parcel shipped,…read morethe shipping was already paid for but I needed to pay for the new box and packing for about a 2 foot by 1foot by 4 inch parcel. This was about $27, which I gladly paid. The gal at the counter was super nice and we started chit chatting I pointed out my puppy sitting in my car, and she emphatically said bring him in, they loved dogs and had cookies. I asked her if she was sure because he has a ton of energy and being an Aussie Shepherd he sheds. No problem she said, so I brought him in he got his cookies met a few customers and that was that. Until today. I went there to drop off a Amazon return. There were two people ahead of me in line who were interested and talking to me about him. He was VERY excited to be in the store, and dropped some hair on the carpet from his leash, which I had not noticed. Now my turn I approach the counter and all I can say is this young 20 something girl was not happy about my dog, she was trying to be passive aggressive, but she was just AGGRESSIVE AGGRESSIVE. Gave me such an look and attitude I was stunned. She told me they wouldn't take the original box, I said I had no need for it and she told me they had no room in the back...ok no worries. I grabbed the box and then she asked my to pick up the hair from the floor, wait what? Then she told me she guessed that she could vacuum it up. I let her know at that point I would pick it up, but that there were plenty of other UPS stores. As I bent down and picked up the hair, another customer looked at me a bit stunned I let that customer know my previous experience. The the girl told me to get out of there store. I said gladly and I would never be back There were a million other ways to communicate than the route she took. Passive aggressivness in a service environment is BS.

The Central Office was recommended by the campus director of my school to complete my LiveScan…read morefingerprinting. I haven't had my fingerprints taken in years and the last time, I think I went to the sheriff's office in Marin County and had to return because my prints weren't clear enough. They offer walk-in LiveScan services and the small storefront on the east side of 4th Street was quiet when I dropped by this afternoon. The two employees were chatting pleasantly and greeted me right away when I entered. Rachel spotted the forms in my hand and guessed correctly that I was there to have my fingerprints taken. Sure enough, like I've experienced before, the first try was unsuccessful. I don't have pronounced ridges on my fingers apparently, but they had a gel that she asked me to rub on my hands and the 30 seconds later we were good to go. Second time was the charm! I'm happy to report that my school covered the costs, so I wasn't privy to the charges, but I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I also checked and found that they offer private mailbox services and can ship via UPS, FedEx and DHL, so the next time that I'm on that side of town, I'll definitely remember them!

Lester, in response to your reply, your associate was rude and defensive from the moment I called,…read moreI even thought I had a wrong number with her monotone and rude way of answering the phone and had to call back. I didn't even have time to press her for an answer. She hung up on me. You must not have read my last message to you three weeks ago as I had stated that I didn't care to point the blame at anyone as your employee was rudely defending herself and denying everything. I simply wanted to know what the next steps would be and how to solve this problem but she hung up before I could finish asking that. Then refused to answer when I called back. The last known whereabouts of that package was at your store. You told me in a private message that it was picked up at 2:30 pm but you refused to show me receipts or proof that it was picked up. You failed to answer the questions I had asked in those private messages. You failed to follow up with me to try to de-escalate this problem. But your concern about your associates feelings rather than a customer's satisfaction is very telling. I had every right to be upset. The representative from the FedEx office that I spoke with today even confirmed that you let that package sit there for three weeks. Seems like she knew you've done something like that before. Yes, this case is closed. Mystery solved. You kept our package in your office until two days ago. You can deny it all again and gaslight, but that just makes you look even worse. Please do not reply to me again. *************** I am updating my previous review because I now know what actually happened to our shipment. It's a shame that I had to find out this information on my own rather than from Lester and his associates. A FedEx 2Day envelope containing vehicle registration tags was dropped off at this location on June 16. It was supposed to arrive on June 18 but wasn't delivered until July 9. During that time, my husband and I drove the vehicle from Las Vegas to Boston with expired registration tags because the tags never arrived. We carried DMV paperwork throughout the trip and worried about being stopped in multiple states. While we were traveling, I called this location to ask why the package had not moved. Instead of looking into it, the employee was dismissive, defensive, rude, and abruptly ended the call. After the envelope was finally delivered, I contacted FedEx directly. The representative investigated the shipment and informed me that the package had never left this office and was not picked up until July 7. She also had to apologize on behalf of this office and that a payment was made for $70 for two-day shipping and received it more than three weeks later. The delay itself was bad enough. Being dismissed when I called seeking help was even worse. Had someone taken a few minutes to investigate instead of acting defensive and more concerned about their associate being questioned and ending the conversation, we would have had answers weeks earlier.
