This place is such a great Italian restaurant! I ordered the calzone and it was so delicious and gigantic!!! My husband had the meatball parmigiana sandwich and he loved it. The sauce is authentic Italian. The calzone crust was delicious . I really like the way he added herbs to the outside of the calzone for a nice kick. The owner, Craig, came over to our table introduce himself to us and inquire about how we liked the food. He is such a pleasant and personable individual who is an incredibly talented chef. Today my husband picked up a Chicken Piccata dinner for me on his way home, which he has done several times before. It had become my new favorite from there since recently discovering this restaurant. Each and every time we got the penne in the container with chicken, piccata sauce. The same for my niece and friend that I told about it. Today the penne was on the side with marinara sauce?? Odd, I thought! So, I immediately called the store. Naturally, I believed them to have made a mistake. Before I could get the words out of my mouth, I had this very nasty and rude person who answered the phone talk over me, ranting that "this is the way it always comes", that I "would have to ask for it in the piccata sauce if that is what I wanted", etc!!! She claimed to be the "Manager". All I called for was to let them know they messed up my order, and I was also going to ask for additional pasta with piccata on my next order (a credit for the next time). She HUNG UP on me FIVE times. I tried to tell her there is no mention of marinara sauce on her menu with this item. She insisted it was there on the menu!!! She would not listen to me, and did not allow me to speak without yelling over me. I asked for the owner, and the owner's name...she refused to give me that information!! She said she was the boss in charge. p.s. I just threw my entire dinner in the trash, because she upset me too much to enjoy any of it. She is a horrible and very nasty person. My husband and I have come here several times but only for dinner. Each time we came for dinner, the service was great and the food was good. Today for the first time ever, I went for lunch. I was very excited and went by myself since I have the day off from work. When I walked in the young woman at the counter offered to take my order. I thought she thought because I was alone that I was ordering to go, so I said I wanted to eat at a table. She gestured for me to go sit down somewhere. I placed my order for the lunch special with no issues and when she went to take the menu, I asked to keep it because I might get something else. When she brought my order, I asked if I could have a cannoli when she had a chance. I felt awkward and waited for a bit but then saw how busy they were so I went and got the Parmesan cheese myself and sat back at the table. Long story short, I didn't know that at lunch time you are supposed to order at the counter because it was my first time there for lunch. I could feel the energy be very annoyed at me and I didn't know why until I saw the young lady visibly frustrated talking and then the owner came over to me to see if I needed anything. I ended up forgoing my dessert order and asking for the check, trying to sort out what happened with the owner. He ended up telling me he didn't want to argue. Although he was polite in his explanation, it seemed like they all felt I had done something wrong when it was just a lack of up front communication. I don't believe I was rude or demanding. I was just unaware of what their lunch policy was. I apologized to the young lady before I left letting her know that I didn't know how lunch worked there. I left feeling very discouraged however and probably won't ever be back. Word to the owner and staff...we patrons know you work hard. Just keep in mind that we patrons are also human beings with feelings going through other things in our lives as well. Misunderstandings and miscommunication will happen but if things had been explained to me up front, we could have avoided an unpleasant situation. Note to self, if the energy feels off, it probably is. I was mostly frustrated because I don't want people in the service industry thinking I am being purposely difficult or rude. I just didn't know and nobody told me until the end. It's sad because I really liked this place but nothing good lasts forever. I know they will succeed because most of the time they are on point. I just felt so disappointed, misunderstood, and discouraged, especially because it took a lot for me to mentally motivate myself to even go out in the first place. read more

Came in on Friday early evening and although the parking gets a little busy, was able to park further and walk a little. My son and I ordered a pepperoni pizza. The staff is very friendly and seems like regulars come here because they greet with hugs, nice to see. When we received the pizza, it was hot but Soo good. Tonight 9/13/23 my husband and I wanted a fresh salad and pizza. Ana gave us great friendly service. She was polite, friendly, and quick. Javier made us a thin, crispy cheese pizza. We have been pizza restaurant owners, so that said, we know pizza. Javier didn't put a lot of sauce on the pie, which was excellent. Too much sauce causes cheese to slide off and can make the pie mushy. Javier made a great fresh, thin and crispy pie. We loved it! We took home the 1/2 we couldn't eat for tomorrow's lunch. My Greek salad was awesome! Fresh romaine my favorite! Best salad as always!! More and more we have been pleased with Amici's and will continue to go to our neighborhood pizza place!! I visited for lunch with my mom and my 2 kids. We had a wonderful lunch. The pizza was perfect, I brought a few slices home to my husband and he loved them as well. Every Halloween for the past 3 years I've been ordering pizza, or some kind of bar food. This year I wanted to order from somewhere new that I've never tried before. Amice's was it. I was surprised I have never ordered food from here, since it's so close and I drive by it daily. When I called to place my order, I was really impressed with how professional they were on the phone. She took her time to explain the deals and the specials. I decided to order the Family Special, which includes a large 1 topping pizza, house salad, and pasta. All this food for $24?! Sounds like a great deal to me! The food took about 30 minutes. As soon as I walked in the restaurant, the staff started booing lol. I was like damn this place has 0 chill, but the manager walked over and said "After what happened yesterday you're going to come in here with that shirt?" I had a Lebron shirt on, ha! That made me feel right at home. I think I'll be coming here, even if the food turned out bad! Thank god the food wasn't bad! The pizza was good, and from the bite that I had, I can't really judge it. The pasta tho!!! Wow! It was amazing! The sauce, the cheese, everything about this pasta dish was perfect. It had that authentic homemade Italian flavor. You can tell they make their own sauce and use real spices. The salad was a salad, which was also good ( I don't think you can mess up a salad, there's no point on talking about it.) I give Amice's 5 stars because they have great, friendly, professional service. The food was delicious and they actually interact with customers. I've been a regular at Amici's for several years now and I can say with the certainty of a fat Brooklyn born extremely well pizza-traveled almost middle-aged man: Amici's is something special. When other places started skimping during the pandemic Amici's doubled down. The pizza is better than ever. Crunchy crust, flavorful sauce, excellent cheese to sauce ratio. And their upside down pizza (cheese on the bottom and sauce and basil on top) is a delicious, not exhaustingly heavy, Chicago looking pizza but reasonably sized. If Dave Portnoy went here, he would give it Florida's first 9.0 or better. First 9.0 out of Northeast. Barstool make your way to Amici's. I followed Portnoy to Stuart but right here at home it's better. And here's a bonus. The manager/owner has a secret sauce not just for the pizza but for his staff. He has trained all of his people to be friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I'm going to hire whoever trained the staff to teach me how to manage people. Amici's makes you feel at home! Like I walked into an Italian grandmas kitchen. The owner Craig comes by and chats with guest when the kitchen is a little slower and when it's hopping he's hustling with his staff. The food we had was amazing. My wife told me I will need to pick up the garlic sticks on my way home from work from now on. The prices are amazing. Not often a date night can get by on less than $40.
