I didn't take a pic but I had the cheesesteak sub and my wife the lobster roll. There was a lot of meat in both! Delicious.

For the record, I'm a regular patron of Weston's because I shop there for my wife. There are many things to love about this small local shop. They are one of the few places near us that sell Boar's Head deli products. Also, my wife is a big fan of the regular, spicy and sweet ground sausage they stock. The people who work there are kind and super helpful. They taught me the difference between Wisconsin and Vermont cheddar (creamy vs. sharp). They have a fantastic wine and beer selection, and some interesting hard ciders as well. The clerk I spoke to was an encyclopedia of beer knowledge, plus he didn't tease me for being the only resident of Maine who hates IPAs. I'm disappointed that someone felt compelled to write a 1 star review for this small, local shop because they had a disappointing mincemeat pie. As a regular shopper of Weston's who has interacted with everyone who works there, I would be surprised if they deliberately mislead someone about a product. It's a shame they refuse to come back because in addition to everything else I mentioned, Weston's also offers a great customer loyalty program.

It's fine :) The bakery department I could SING about, I love everything I've purchased from them. The cheese bread is a family favorite! My aunt will drive all the way from Millinocket for their fresh picked crab meat. Two things I WISH they had? Poppi soda and Chester Fried Chicken. I love checking out and seeing the friendly young faces that work up front. One of my very first jobs was in a grocery store like this one, it brings back happy memories. I remember the older folks that were kind and friendly to me, so I strive to BE that adult for these kids.

They seem to have a few north of Portland. These aren't the same as the Canadian ones but they're always pretty good with some unique brands. This location had a nice prepared food section. Lots of sandwiches. All were labelled wrong. Kind of funny. They would say turkey and be roast beef or roast beef and have turkey. I bought one labelled turkey (but I knew it was roast beef obviously) and it was a really good sandwich. Very unique with peppers, pickles and olives as toppings. They had a really nice selection of local brands, especially when it came to beer and cider. I ended up buying sugar doughnuts that I totally didn't need just because the brand was new to me. I could see myself shopping here regularly if I lived locally.
