This is the second time I have visited Mulligan's to get food and I will not return. On my first visit, the food was good but it took a long time for the order to come up. Too long, but I thought another chance would be fair. Today, I went in and ordered 2 BLT subs. The total came to 18.34 with tax. Good god that's an expensive sub. The people ahead of me had ordered lobster rolls and were agonizing over the price they paid. $60 per lobster roll. Ouch! They waited about 20 minutes for their order, and so did I. The wrapped lobster roll did look bigger than the usual frankfurter rolls size but I am still aghast at the $60 price. The kicker is that when I finally got the 2 BLT subs home, one of them had no tomatoes in it. And there were only a couple of slices in the other. And they cost over $9 each. So not worth it. Lately there has been a lot of screw ups. Today my favorite was when I opened my steak n cheese with mayo to see they also put mustard on it. I told them I couldn't bring it back tonight. Probably because I have three kids under 3 and their food would get cold. I was told to bring back sandwich and receipt another day then. First-didn't get receipt. i made a simple order. 1 large italian sub, no green peppers, no olives, no tomatoes. i wanted just pickles, onions and mayo. instead, i get green peppers, olives, tomatoes, no mayo and friggin pepper. how can you mess up a sub like this? the friggin receipt said NO olives, NO green peppers, NO tomatoes, and add mayo and salt. their ordering kiosk printed the receipt with EXACTLY these instructions. yeah, its a simple complaint and partial fix. just take off the green peppers, olives, and tomatoes. but it is still missing the mayo and salt, and it still has pepper on it. The point is I placed an order, a simple order, AND I PAID FOR THE SUB. and every friggin item on it is wrong. its completely disrespectful to me as a customer. so now i either drive back and fix the darn thing and look like a turd for complaining, or just scrape off the crap on it, and eat the darn thing without mayo and salt. nice job mulligans btw, you cant just select what you want on it. YOU HAVE TO FRIGGIN SELECT THE ITEMS YOU DONT WANT ON IT. i had to specifically select "NO PEPPERS," "NO TOMATOES," and "NO OLIVES." what kind of STUPID system is that? Where to start, stoped in on Saturday morning at 9:20 for a piece of BREAKFAST pizza there was none in the warmer so I asked the girl if there was more coming out being it was 9:30 am. Was told by the rude young lady NO. I said to her it is only 9:30 and she replied to bad. Now they were fully stocked with the expensive food chicken, chicken fingers and a plethora of other fried foods but nothing for breakfast. Place has gone down hill and has turned into a tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. This is what happens when you sell a decades old business to a out of stater. Hidden gem, known for their Lobster roll. Jam packed and mile high with lots o claws that are succulent, tender - bite into it would ya! The $25 puts all others to shame on the extra long fresh roll. Great place to get a breakfast sandwich or a slice of pizza before your fishing excursions. The Hash Brown sticks are very good also, as long as you get them made fresh. I went in here after filling up my gas tank looking to get an in between meal. I had my eyes on the lobster roll. Being the Midwestern tourist, I knew this was the mecca, so I couldn't leave Maine without trying one. I'm sure the locals would cringe that my 1st lobster roll experience came from a gas station, but taste wise it was a resounding 5 stars. The slow service and $10 price tag for a sandwich slightly smaller than a 6 inch Subway sandwich took it down a star. But heck, it's lobster, not chop liver I was paying for. A great 1st experience, however unconventional a location I chose to make it my virgin go at one of New England's signature dishes. read more

I'm born and raised in Readfield and have been a customer since it was called Daggett's; well over 40 years. Until the expansion their customer service/management and food quality were excellent. Since the addition, both have fallen to unacceptable levels. Approximately a month ago I ordered a pizza that was underdone and a soggy inedible mess. So much so I ordered a pizza from another restaurant since they had closed before I noticed. I took pictures and even saved the pizza in my freezer to show them. After leaving my contact information a second time I received a call from a manger 3 days later) that gave a credit for pizza in question. A couple weeks ago I Tried to collect on the pizza credit and was told they had no information and will not honor the credit. Left my contact information and did not receive a call back. Tried again today and was told the same, I would have to contact CMD the company that owns Mulligans. After explaining the situation was told she would try and find a manager to call me back. After not receiving a return call I called back and Asked to speak to an owner. I was told she was as close to an owner that I'll get. Asked for her title and wasn't given an answer. She was argumentative, clearly didn't care and implied I was lying. After today my family, my company nor I will ever shop there again. Jay, Tyler and front of house staff are fantastic and all know me by first and last name. The management/owners are deplorable and made my decision quite easy. The addition has brought about higher prices, poor and drastically declining food quality, and terrible customer satisfaction. There are many other establishments that still care for their product and service do not waste your time or money here. After doing research found they are owned by Central Maine Drywall. To which, I called left 2 messages, the first outlining the situation, the second to express I will never come back. I'm guessing if the quality of CMD is the same as Mulligan's don't waste your time there either. read more

Honestly? Very rude service. We went in there and were looking around for something to eat. The man at the counter then snaps 'Can I help you?!' We reply we're looking for something to eat. We ask if they take EBT, and he says rudely 'Um, why not?' Then when my ice cream started to melt, and we went in to get a dish for it, the manager says nothing and absently hands me the dish, without saying you're welcome after I said thank you for it.
