Recently I broke my car key off in the ignition, I called around most locksmith in Oxnard / Ventura, don't work on cars. The ones that do, quoted anywhere from $400 - $500, saying I would need a new ignition, ouch. I called Amigos on a recommendation from another locksmith who doesn't work on cars. Amigo's quoted $140, made an appointment with me, showed up on time, got me taken care of within 20 minutes, and stayed with the quote given $140. The gentleman was curteous, professional, patient, and fast. He had the broken key out of the ignition, took the other broken key out of the driver side door (had broken off 2 months before, and not in my original quote of service) and cut me 2 new keys on the spot. He even explained why the key was weak, and adjusted the cut to improve the weakness of the key, made sure I could open all doors and turn on the car. He made me feel better about a dum situation, I mean I broke 2 keys off in the keyholes of my car, seriously! No I'm not blonde :). Thanks Amigo's you are awesome! read more

Amigos Lock & Safe is a great service provider. I found them on Yelp and did some research and confirmed they are a licensed local business. Ramon arrived on time, in a marked business van with uniform. Very knowledgeable, and super friendly. He got my safe opened within a few minutes, and he charged the same price as he quoted me over the phone. He also went above and beyond by modifying my safe lock so that I didn't have to discard the safe. I can't say enough positive things about Ramon, once you talk to him you can sense the sincerity, and just wanted to help his customers. Had a horrible encounter with a locksmith a few months back and never went back due to his unprofessional attitude and jacked up prices for half the work these guys were able to do. These guys offer a very reasonable price for a very job well done. I got locked out of my car and also needed a key duplicated. These guys were fast and knew what they were doing! My father owns a 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible and he left his keys inside the trunk. He had no spares to open it. We tried many locksmiths in the area and no one had any supplies from that era to open the trunk. I called to see if he can give me a quick estimate on how much it would cost to get my glove box unlocked since I lost the key. After I got a quote from him I felt it was a great deal since every where else they charged more then a hundred dollars.
