Very cute and clean show for all ages. Audience participation is a huge part of it place was very clean and well kept and they have concessions although I didn't buy any since I had just had dinner. But from what I saw everyone seemed to have enjoyed everything they got.

Hilarrrrious. I think we came on a good night because the magician was a pretty famous one. But even without him, haystack hilariouty was great. We actually were cracking up. It is so nice to have clean comedy. My child can't wait to go back. Popcorn combo was great too!! read more

The Amish Country Theatre is a great example of creativity, entrepreneurship, and building a unique entertainment experience. Although I have not personally visited yet, learning about the business and how it was created gave me a lot of appreciation for what they have built. I got the opportunity to hear from one of the owners, Braeden Conn, in my business class. He shared the story of how he and his family started the theatre and continued to expand their business over time. It was inspiring to hear about the risks they took, the ideas they pursued, and how they focused on creating memorable experiences for their guests. Braeden came across as very genuine, driven, and passionate about what he does. Hearing his story made me even more interested in visiting the theatre someday and seeing the business in action. read more

I have been to this theater several times in the last few years and while it's never terrific it's usually ok. I was there December 12,2025 and the show was so lacking that it was painful. Perhaps the snow kept a lot of their performers home, in which case they should have abbreviated the show. The show seemed unrehearsed and dull. The one singer performed a few songs and he was as good as I remember him from previous shows. Also, I didn't pay for the Fox news opinions that were interjected. We won't be back. read more

This place is GREAT!! The show is funny and family friendly and that's hard to do. There is some audience participation, but it's all in good fun and I haven't really seen them make anyone the "butt of their jokes" as others have said. If coming to the show, keep in mind that businesses in Amish country close early - even on Saturday The facility itself is newer and very clean. They have a snack counter, nice bathrooms and helpful people. The theater is connected to the Berlin Encore Hotel and if you book your hotel first, you get a discount on your tickets for the show. This place is great!! I'm so happy we found it read more

We were expecting a comedy show. Instead there was an amateur ventriloquist / amateur magician. A one man show, sometimes a dog was included. We were so bored. Sad to pay hefty ticket price for such a lame show. read more

Beautiful, comfortable theatre, laid-back friendly ambiance. Sound, lights and other tech were good. Show was cute and family-friendly. I'm a bit jaded because I have kids on Broadway, and while this isn't Broadway, we will come back for a pleasant evening of wholesome entertainment. read more

This was a great show in the past. The ventriloquist and beachy boys were great. They have changed the venue This year and it was not up to the same standards in previous years. In the past I have always given this place an excellent review and i'm very hopeful that it will return to its original format. We always loved spending an evening here. read more

When I bought tickets, I wasn't sure what to expect. To be honest, I was a little worried "appropriate" comedy wouldn't be very funny. I was so wrong! My husband and I had a blast and laughed SO hard. We also liked that they had a concession stand similar to a movie theater, it was very clean, and seemed really well put- together. If you're in Berlin, definitely get tickets to a show! read more

This is a very good place for entertainment. Went to see one of their comedy shows. It had a bit of everything. The comedy was top notch. When I am in the area again I will definitely go back and time permitting I am hoping to make 2 shows. read more

This was an awesome show and only two hours from home. My kids really enjoyed the juggler. The singing and comedy skits were hilarious. This is a good, clean family friendly show. read more

In Amish country many of the establishments close early so if you're looking for something to do after everything else has closed, this is the place to visit. I was not sure what to expect from the show but I can tell you that I laughed my behind off. The people around us really enjoyed the show as well. The cast of the show do a really good job engaging their audience and making them feel like they're a part of the show. The show is also great for the whole family. I plan on visiting them again soon with my kiddos because I know they're going to enjoy the show as much as I did. I loved the Bluegrass group that performed during our visit. I'm a huge theater fan so I'm rooting for the long term success of this theater in the heart of Ohio's Amish country. read more

We took the kids and enjoyed the show. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere. I am a huge bluegrass fan and am glad to have found a place close to home we can go enjoy some local talent. The. theater was very clean and comfortable. looking forward to the next show. read more

I agree with Jon S. My children volunteered me to get on stage. Then was disappointed when the act was to make me be "the evil woman." We all missed the humor in that part of the show. We weren't excited about going home to watch the DVD we had purchased. read more

Hilarious show. Great entertainment and family friendly. Reminded me of the old HeeHaw show from the 1960's. We saw "Kickin Chicken". It was a variety show featuring a western band, comedy, improv, world-class ventriloquist. Well worth the ticket price! read more

This was our second visit the first being a couple of years ago. Both times my wife and I have really enjoyed the show. It did improve over the last time we saw it, although that time was excellent. The comedy kept us laughing the entire time. If I were to make any suggestion it would be not to include the audience on stage. I was lucky because I wasn't selected to be the butt of their jokes. I go to places such as this to be entertained not to be made fun of. The section where they brought the guests up on stage, the person in charge did what he could to make a couple of them look like asses. While many laughed, I was totally turned off by it. If you discount that portion of the show, you will find the show totally worth the time and expense to see. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The comedy is fantastic. They do engage the participation of some of the audience. I was chosen one year, and I totally had a blast. We have gone several times during the summers and also we had gone for their Christmas one, which was great. The musician sang Rudolph in Amish, which in itself was funny. If you want great, clean entertainment, this is the place to go. read more

This was someone's retirement project. I watched a video on YouTube about a 105 year old man, his advice was to have a purpose in retirement. On a plus note the gift shop/bookstore had Christian children's books for $2 and $3. They are spreading the faith, not trying to make money.

There's some books and pictures you can see that explains their history. We took the tour. It's about 30 minutes long but you have to do this. It's an amazing story telling with art and lights. On site, they have a charming shop with a variety of household decor items. They also have a variety of knives. The reason the space exists, though, is because of the intricate ivory carvings. The museum space itself is kind of small, but there are a variety of historical ships depicted. It is incredible how intricate he was able to get with something as delicate as ivory. So much detail and so many tiny and thin pieces. I never would have thought it was possible! I was curious about how the ivory was acquired since I know that is a hot topic, and it was all ethically sourced through either antiques or other legal means. The building is meticulous and the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The museum was affordably priced (they even have a family rate of $25) and worth it if you are looking for something different and unique to experience.

This man's grandfather Ernest Warther carved trains out of ebony and ivory. He passed this talent on to his grandson David. What Ernest did in trains, David has done in sailing vessels. The intricacy of the work, the overarching attention to detail and the pure artistic genius that goes into these carvings is nothing short of amazing. Each one will capture your attention for different reasons. Whether it is the bold lines, the intricate sailing vessels with all their masts and rope or the ornate scrimshaw on some of these pieces, the experience is amazing. There is no other collection like this one in the world. This is not your typical stuffy art museum. Every piece is fascinating and exciting. Everything is hand carved from legally and ethically sourced ivory. We were fortunate enough to arrive while the artist was working in his in house workshop. He came out and met all of us and showed us how he perfects all the myriad of tiny intricate ropes on his sailing vessels. Everything is carved. Nothing is manufactured elsewhere and added to the pieces. The gift shop was nice and well stocked. The whole place is clean, wheelchair accessible and pieces are well lit. Bathrooms were in good shape when we were there. This is a must stop destination if you are in the Sugarcreek area.

Amazing! We LOVED this show. We brought my parents and our 3 young kids to see the Macho Mule show last weekend, and had an absolute blast. Ken Groves is simply the best there is...it's truly amazing to watch him an you honestly forget that there aren't two people on stage. You find yourself reacting to their conversation as if he and his puppet are two separate people! They did a lot of improv and audience participation, so there was never a dull moment. The cast does a great job of not overActing the amish parts. We're local so we appreciate the fun, yet not over-the-top depiction of the Amish characters (the accents were spot-on, too and not gimmicky!). The kids really enjoyed the musical bits too. The snacks are great and not overpriced (get the soft baked pretzel - trust me). Our kids got root beer floatss and loved them. It's a great way to spend a Saturday evening in Amish Country. read more

We went for a comedy show and got a bad night of karaoke. We recently went for my birthday. We'd been twice before and had loved it. Before, there were so many funny skits and cast members. This time, there were literally only five people performing in the whole show. Donnie Abraham, "a crooner," was a huge disappointment for us. He monopolized the show. The funny skits we remembered had been replaced by this guy singing old, weird songs. If you like that and want to pay $27 a ticket for that, fine. We were very disappointed. Many of the original casts members were gone or MIA! Pay attention to who is performing. It's not a good show now and I would not pay to go back. That's too bad, it's like they had a really good thing and then let it go. read more
