The product is of such superior quality that we can't determine which pieces are older and which are newer. Recently, there was a minor mistake with this year's order, and that's when we truly learned of the superior quality provided by their service department. We were treated with pleasant professionalism and our order was promptly corrected. By The Yard is a wise investment which we highly recommend.

We've been using it the entire summer and all have held up wonderfully and they are very comfortable. We wanted the swivel/rocking chairs with footrests and so glad we did splurge for those. Also - the table/chairs are so easy to clean. I thought the showroom in Vernon Hills was great - everyone was very nice and let us walk around and try out the furniture. So - the kicker and why it's 4 and not 5 stars. The delivery and assembly. We live in a high rise downtown and they will only deliver to your bottom lobby level. It will come assembled but what you don't think about immediately is that a door width is only 36". If it had come assembled, it wouldn't be able to fit inside our condo to go to the balcony. This is no issue if you're delivering to a house b/c you just go straight to the backyard. But a condo - very different. So - we had it come in boxes and we opted to assemble after the showroom told us it was very easy. First off - the furniture is extremely heavy - hence the excellent quality! And it was not easy to assemble for my husband/myself. Talking with customer service, they told us to just shove pieces together and it will work. After spending $1800 for the furniture - I wasn't willing to do that. So I called the store and they came out and put it together on our balcony. We are forever grateful for that and while it's easy for some to put together - this wasn't an easy endeavor. Just something to think about if you live in a condo. With all that being said - I would order from By the Yard again b/c I think the company/staff and furniture are of great quality.

The outdoor chairs here are actually more than I spent on my living room furniture, the patio sets are five times more than my car is worth. The price tag matches the quality, but it's sure not for working class heroes. The set up is odd, when I dropped in a couple of young men sales uniforms came running out of some back room after I was wandering around for a bit and asked me what I was doing. I realize I'm not the complexion of their average customer, but still it seemed to be a little inappropriate. The way they came in from whatever it was that they were doing...I think I should have been the one to ask them, but anyway I can't afford this stuff. If you can, then you should, it's obviously well made and well stocked here.

I was in the market for a pool table and, after checking some out online as well as at a second…read morehand shop in town, made my way to Master Z's. What a fun spot. They have anything and everything you might need for a billiards room, game room, or patio. There is seriously so much fun goodness in here! They have a wonderful selection of pool tables with prices ranging from low to high end. I'm not a serious pool player and so opted for the low end of the spectrum. I was clear with the sales person on what I could afford and he did everything to accommodate (and didn't pressure me to purchase outside my comfort zone, which was nice). The final price for the pool table I purchased was only a couple hundred dollars higher than some of the used prices (after re-felting and necessary repairs would have been made to the used table). And, they were having a deal where we got a ping-pong table topper thrown in for free. On my way out, I perused through the store. Highlights: +They have some really nice dart board cupboards +They have a wonderful selection of cue sticks +Their patio selection is huge and, in my opinion, a little over-priced (but seriously...so much stuff) Get to it!

After taking my money, a reputable company would see this problem as a priority, I get a multitude of recorded messages, of course over the weekend. My next recourse is to call Hot Springs and take a trip to court house. As of now I have a big expensive blob in my yard. Water is getting rancid and they keep pointing the finger at the electrician who they have told me numerous times that "they don't work with electricians". Well, maybe they should start. Of course they don't, that way they can point the finger at them. Apparently, they just don't care because after looking at the reviews, they haven't changed a thing. They will be out of business soon. UPDATE: Brandon, Oscar and Sam in service are awesome. I feel like they actually care to orovide good service and take pride in their work. If it weren't for them and their efforts the spa would still not be working. I would give them each a five star rating. I keep hearing how they don't work with electricians but electrical work is a big part of this process and I just wonder how awesome Hansens would be if they had an electrician in service who could work with them. Imagine how much simpler this process would be.

We purchased a pump system that stopped working after just one season of use (Summer 2024). Despite providing video proof and reaching out to Hansen's support on June 5th--just 12 days past the warranty period--we were repeatedly met with resistance and unhelpful responses. The manager I worked with, Nicole, initially agreed to an exchange after reviewing the video I sent. However, that offer was later taken back, and we were told the warranty would not be honored. To make matters worse, I was told I could pay $250 to have a service technician "inspect" the system--despite the fact that a brand-new pump retails for only $317. Nicole's suggestion? "Just come in and buy a new one." Frankly, that's unacceptable customer service from a company that claims to stand behind the products they sell. We spent additional money on shock and algaecide throughout this process, under the assumption that the system would be addressed per the suggestions of the employees at Hansens who know absolutely nothing about how to service a pool. Instead, after weeks of back and forth, we were told definitively that no refund or replacement would be offered. The dismissive and at times petty tone of communication from management only furthered our disappointment. It's unfortunate to end a long-standing relationship this way, but we will no longer be using Hansen's for any of our pool needs. I strongly encourage others to consider the level of customer support they expect before purchasing from this business, it is not worth it.

Ive had garage sale pieces, Goodwill finds, hand-me-downs, mix-match pieces. I finally am in the position to purchase a bedroom set. Shop for a year, finally find a set I/we both like, splurge on the purchase. Nothing but aggravation. I guess when the first salesperson said "ma'am I just work here, I cant help what the store does" I should have taken it as a sign and not tried to work with the store manager - but I didn't. Thought they did a good job trying to help. Was hopeful. When 3 weeks ago I'm told my delivery that weekend was cancelled because they forgot to include an integral part of the bed frame in the order, I should have cancelled. But i didnt. Now, finally delivery day, move all our existing furniture out, delivery comes (delivery/install guys were awesome), guess whats missing? Intergral part of the bed. Cant put it together. So now i have bed pieces everywhere, bed not assembled, and itll be another month before they can send the parts to me, then they still have to schedule a technician to come and install. Cant even walk in our bedroom-oh well. Beyond frustrated. Ready to return the whole set. Thanks Ashley Furniture. Great job - not.

Within an hour of delivery discovered handles on DR buffet were floating in the wind loose. Thought the delivery guy just didn't tighten them enough. Nope, the MDF or pressed wood is crumbling so handles have nothing to hold onto. I have been jerked around by their service department for two months, one excuse after another. Also noticing gouges in wood on bed purchased. These gouges were filled with tinted putty which is crumbling and leaving white gouges. Walked into bedroom and there was a white spot on headboard they had filled with tinted putty that is crumbling. So after two months of giving them chance to make good on this brand new piece of furniture that should not need any repair, I have spoken with my attorney. So be prepared to hire an attorney if you make the mistake of shopping here. I am a senior citizen so think I will add elder abuse to to my lawsuit. It sure feels like emotional and psychological abuse to me, to finally buy all this furniture that I have waited so long for, just to be screwed over by Ashley Furniture. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE.

My favorite part of the Frenz Garden Center is the section of the building that is just filled with…read morehouseplants. Their plants are well taken care of and are sold at very reasonable prices. They also have a large selection of whimsical and unique garden decorations that always bring a smile to my face. The staff is small and they keep to themselves, but they have always offered help whenever we crossed paths. The place is organized but cluttered, so be careful. I always make sure to keep my purse close to me out of fear of accidentally knocking something over.
