PSA - think twice before purchasing furniture from Ashley. Kinda funny - 58 years old and Ive never had a real bedroom set. Ive had garage sale pieces, Goodwill finds, hand-me-downs, mix-match pieces. I finally am in the position to purchase a bedroom set. Shop for a year, finally find a set I/we both like, splurge on the purchase. Nothing but aggravation. I guess when the first salesperson said "ma'am I just work here, I cant help what the store does" I should have taken it as a sign and not tried to work with the store manager - but I didn't. Thought they did a good job trying to help. Was hopeful. When 3 weeks ago I'm told my delivery that weekend was cancelled because they forgot to include an integral part of the bed frame in the order, I should have cancelled. But i didnt. Now, finally delivery day, move all our existing furniture out, delivery comes (delivery/install guys were awesome), guess whats missing? Intergral part of the bed. Cant put it together. So now i have bed pieces everywhere, bed not assembled, and itll be another month before they can send the parts to me, then they still have to schedule a technician to come and install. DO NOT walk into this store. If you buy something, be prepared to spend another $1,000 for an attorney to get satisfaction. I bought over $5000 of furniture. Delivered in October. Within an hour of delivery discovered handles on DR buffet were floating in the wind loose. Thought the delivery guy just didn't tighten them enough. Nope, the MDF or pressed wood is crumbling so handles have nothing to hold onto. I have been jerked around by their service department for two months, one excuse after another. Also noticing gouges in wood on bed purchased. These gouges were filled with tinted putty which is crumbling and leaving white gouges. Walked into bedroom and there was a white spot on headboard they had filled with tinted putty that is crumbling. So after two months of giving them chance to make good on this brand new piece of furniture that should not need any repair, I have spoken with my attorney. So be prepared to hire an attorney if you make the mistake of shopping here. I am a senior citizen so think I will add elder abuse to to my lawsuit. It sure feels like emotional and psychological abuse to me, to finally buy all this furniture that I have waited so long for, just to be screwed over by Ashley Furniture. This has got to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. My wife and I purchased a sectional couch set and a recliner with the extra lifetime warranty Memorial day weekend from this store. They sent us a message telling us it was going to be delivered June 26th. We looked at the weather and noticed it was going to rain so we asked if they could either put everything under the covered front porch or in the garage and gave them the garage code which we informed them of and they said they would make a note for the delivery team. We got the conformation everything was delivered at noon, and when I got home from work I found out the furniture was in the driveway getting rained on in VERY heavy rain for 4 hours! I took pictures of where everything was, pulled everything into the garage and took more pictures. Most of the stuff was wrapped well enough that nothing got wet other than one section of the couch which had an open spot which was pointed to the sky and the couch was wet. We emailed them about what happened and sent all of the pictures. They sent back asking for more pictures which we took and sent. We then waited a week with no reply until we emailed them again, they wanted more pictures, we sent them. Went another week with no reply, once again emailed them and they asked for more pictures. I called them and talked to Sydney, who was insanely rude and smug, they were saying they still needed more pictures, I told them we already sent all the pictures you could've needed and we want this resolved. Over the course of multiple phone calls I was then told they need to send a tech out to inspect and it would be over a month away, I said no this has already been going on for weeks it is their fault and we want a not-rained on couch like we paid for. They sent a tech out 4 weeks after the couch was delivered and the tech looked at it, said it wasn't wet, and they basically told us it wasn't wet so they weren't going to do anything. Called and talked with Amanda and explained everything and she said she would talk with someone else and we will schedule a time to call again. She texted me saying she was talking with another person, through text we scheduled another call, called again and she told me the couch I purchased and got delivered a month ago at that point was discontinued so they couldn't do anything about it. I told her this was not an acceptable answer and if they couldn't do anything about it then what was the point of us paying extra for the lifetime warranty. She called back later saying they could send all the materials to our house to rebuild and reupholster the section. I told her I would talk with my wife and call her back. I then got a text saying they accepted the part order. I tried texting back to ask what she meant by that and to make further plans and no reply. I sent multiple texts from Friday July 25, 30, Aug 1,8 and still no reply tried calling multiple times and nothing all the while, getting random couch pieces in the mail we never agreed to. They had a guy come out to do the work on the section and turns out they ordered the wrong pieces and they have to order more stuff. They made another appointment, without asking us, before the pieces were even delivered. They changed the date so they had the part and we could actually be home, meanwhile they were telling my wife they are fixing it here and finally 2 months later Amanda text us back Sep 9th saying they are going to come pick up the piece to fix at their shop. If you have all the pieces to fix the couch and you're going to take the couch back to replace everything then how and why would it not have been easier, faster and more satisfying to your customer to just do as I ask, build the one section that was damaged and deliver it. If they would have just made the one section and delivered it we would've been perfectly happy, none of this would've happened and we would've bought many new things from them for our growing family. This is absolutely insane the way they are ignoring us and hoping we just go away, which I won't. We will never buy from these scam artists again, we recommend you never buy anything from them and also tell anyone you know never to buy from these people. read more

Purchased a dining table & chairs SET 3/10/2024. Sales staff was great. Items arrived 3/15/2024 and husband picked items up. Got home, assembled table and there were several nicks & scratches in table top/sides and the bottom piece that connected legs was all bubbled. 4 chairs were put together & they all rocked. Sent picture of the bubbled piece to our salesperson, on Saturday she responded with an 888 number for their "customer care" because there was nothing she could do. Called that number and because it was a Saturday, they were closed. Finally mid-afternoon on Monday Hannah from corporate called. After a brief discussion, I said I just wanted to return the entire set. She said she couldn't do anything until she received pictures of the table for her management team. Those were sent within the hour. She also said chairs were "self-leveling". My husband did some research & leveled one. When he turned the next chair over to level, he discovered it was actually broken! Took a picture of that & sent it along. Tuesday Hannah texted & said she could have a tech come out & level the chairs and replace the frame on the broken chair on April 16th, a full month away. No update on the table. Again I said I wanted to return the set and now she said they would only take back the table WITH a 20% restocking fee and they would not take back the chairs...which again, we bought as a SET to the table! And why should I have to pay a restocking fee on something that arrived to me DAMAGED? Finally, they decided to order a new table for us which my husband picked up 3/24/2024 and put together and it seems damage-free. I felt like I had to BEG for the "service" I received. The table arrived damaged, why should I have to pay a restocking fee? And I STILL don't know why they wouldn't take back the chairs!! The saga continues as this tech person doesn't arrive for another 3 weeks, 4/16/2024. In my opinion, this was terrible customer service. I understand they wanted pictures of the damage, and that was sent within 1 hour of the request. I do like the SET however it will forever leave a bad taste in my mouth because of such bad service. I made a furniture purchase a month ago and it was delivered yesterday. I saw an ad that featured the items I purchased had a much lower price deduction than the original price I had paid for them. I was told by my sales associate that she could perhaps make that adjustment but said it could be messy since if she made that exception with me, she would have to do it for others. The reason she said she could not do it was because the purchase was a couple of days outside of the 30 day price match. Upon calling the Corporate office, they felt that Ashley's Home Store in Richfield should have honored that price change since it was only a couple of days outside of the 30 day price change and that the general practice was to honor it as a one time incident ! Be leary of Ashley's practices and shop local where your business means more than just another customer to make a commission off of. I Am disappointed and to be honest, the furniture quality is not optimal. When I told the Manager that I would be making a negative Yelp review, she said that was reasonable. Like a long placemat! I was expecting a thicker kitchen mat. This is as thin as a cheap vinyl placemat. Listed originally for $185 on sale for $42. WHAT!!?? I am trying to return this. Caution...you only have 72 hours to initiate a return. You can't use the chat to start a return. You have to call. I am caller 37 in the queue. Also, it shipped in an open end box. And pure enthusiasm and desire to assist. They realize how important customers are especially during this sensitive "Pandemic" time in our history. It was a great joy to work with these two and we would feel confident working with either or even other sales people if we couldn't work with either of these ladies for any reason. We have purchased two large items from Ashley and have been very happy with the sales department and the product itself! Be careful of the delivery though!!! The first time they said they didn't have the ottoman until I insisted they double check (wonder where that was going?) and the second time they said I had to pay more $ if I wanted them to take the box springs (what the heck am I going to do with them) so I had to write a check for an additional $30 made out to the delivery guy ( very sketchy!!!!) Went into store June 6 and there were 3 women standing around talking. They kept to themselves while my daughter and I were looking for dressers. Finally one asked if we needed help. I told her our price range and after that she pretty much ignored us. I went on the app and found what we were looking for. Broke up their "social hour" and asked if they had anything similar and was told they are not a "corporate store so they have less of a selection" (no excuse). I asked if they had a tape measure so we could get an idea of the size of what we were looking at online to compare with what was in store at they just "eyeballed" something up and said "about that size"! When someone DiD by chance find a measuring tape, we found out how far off they truly were. We asked if they were able to order the one we wanted for us and we felt we were taking up too much of their time now as it was getting close to closing time and on top of that the price online was less than in store (or what the computer showed). My daughter's baby is due in September, we were purchasing in June and they said it would be in July 25th.. "Maybe even sooner!" Sounded good to us! We paid and were on our way even though we walked out feeling like they treated us like our money wasn't good enough for them. Fast forward to July 20th- getting excited about delivery!!! My daughter receives text.. "sorry but due to manufacturer delay, your merchandise will not be available now until possibly SEPTEMBER 29th"! 2 weeks after baby is born!!! WTF! The sales and delivery people were excellent. The dining set I purchased was junk! All pieces arrived damaged. Took over a month for them to send new chair backs. Repair people were great. Then Ashley took another month to "decide" if I should get a new table. Finally arrived and one day after the delivery, the table is chipped and scratched. I swear the chairs are made of balsa wood. We hardly even ever use this set and every time I walk by I see a new ding or scratch on it and it's not like we have small children or anything. The other day I set a cardboard box on the table and then slid it over a bit and it left permanent marks. JUNK FURNITURE!!! I've written to them, called them several times and have had no response. I had a delivery time before noon truck showed up by 9:45 found out my delivery was not on the truck. Told me they would find out who had it and have them deliver my purchase. I bought a rocker recliner from Ashley in Richfield two years ago, with the thought of buying local. The salesman was pleasant snd helpful, hence, the one star. To begin with, I waited months for the chair, not 4-6 wks, as told when purchased. I also bought an extended 5 yr warranty, which turned out to do me no good whatsoever. The chair developed a 2 in crack, and it looks like two more areas will be cracking in the near future. We were told by customer service in claims dept. that it is not covered because the crack is in a "seatable" area. It is actually NEAR where my head rests, but not on that spot. I have also had the chair covered the whole time. When I asked to talk to the rep's boss, I was told that "he doesn't take these type of calls". Extremely disappointed, and stuck with a chair only two years old that I will have to keep covered. I will never buy anything from Ashley Furniture again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. We ordered a king size bed and bedframe from the Ashley Furniture located in Richfield, WI. We paid extra to receive the "white glove" installation service which turned out to be completely unacceptable. Not only was the frame scratched, but the installation was left incomplete (however, they attempted to pass it off as being completely installed). Had we used the bed that night, I'm sure we would have damaged the product. Luckily, a piece of the headboard swiveled back and forth which alerted me to just how loose the screws were. I took the bed and the box springs off of the frame to discover that the screws were only halfway screwed in. I spent the next hour on the phone with Ashley while reassembling the frame on my own. Ashley offered a refund of the installation fee, and opened an "investigation" for the scratch, but nothing else for the inconvenience or time investment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE INSTALLATION SERVICE. I have purchased appliances from here in the past but will reconsider ever going here again for an appliance. I was desperate to buy a new stove and found the GE I wanted but it was white. I was told by the salesman that it could take up to 6 months to get it from the warehouse! Very disappointed. I feel that he was trying to get us to buy stainless which would be great but I can't afford to buy all new appliances. I called around and found the same story with the Big Box stores! I found Radtke Appliance in Oconomowoc and they were more than willing to help me find the stove I wanted and it was just delivered today after only ordering it 5 days ago! Waited 3 weeks for delivery only to be bumped to wait another week. Went back to order a few more pieces 3 months later now to be told it was discontinued. Tried to sell me something else until I requested they check other stores. "The two others I see are reserved. Sorry that happened to you." Was all they had to say. Wouldn't try to help me track some down. Won't buy here again. They only care about the sale. Very upset and disappointed with the management team. I purchased a living room set and coffee tables in April. The first delivery I received a sofa with a big hole and stains. Two of the end tables were scratched pretty bad, as well. So far both couches and tables have been replaced 3 times. Everytime I call or stop in the store I'm told I'll receive a call from a manager which takes a few days or at times up to get week to get back to me, just to say they are sorry and they will deliver a replacement. The replacement they have delivered are also damaged and it gets worse every time. As of last week, the manager is supposed to call me again and still hasn't. I was also told by the manager we would receive our tables by the end of June still haven't received anything til this day. I've been asking to return the furniture for a refund since they can't seem to get this right nor want to attempt to make things right and I'm getting the run around on that as well. read more

I purchased a sofa, chair, end tables and coffee table. It was delivered on the scheduled date (aprox six weeks later) Unfortunately the chair had grease and a small cut like hole in it. I was given the option of having the hole repaired and grease cleaned or an exchange. I opted for the exchange. I am giving a five star because the customer service is exceptional. The men who delivered the set, said I would be called to discuss this issue and sure enough I received a call from a very pleasant woman who apologized and was more than willing to set up the exchange. In summary, things happen, people make mistakes but if the company is willing to resolve the problem in a timely manner they will get a five star from me! I had bought two pieces of furniture during the past year, one with a 5 year extended warranty. The large rocker chair material began cracking before the one year warranty was up and had to be replaced once under warranty, once after the warranty and needs to be replaced again. The dining room table has the extended 5 year warranty. I noticed an issue with a bubble on the top a year later and the tech came out and took pictures. He told me that when Ashley sold me the table, the setup person had put in the screw wrong which eventually surfaced. I had to call customer service several times to find out the status of the warranty. They said it was not covered and that the Richfield store was responsible since they set it up wrong. Needless to say, I spent the entire day on the phone trying to get in contact with the correct person/persons to get this issue resolved but to no avail. Customer service is located in Steven's Point and neither representative was consistent in their answers to questions I had. Finally I called Richfield Ashleys and told them I was done with purchasing from their store after 25 years of buying furniture from them. Furniture quality and service down after the original Ashleys was sold out to another furniture company. The buying process was great, the people in store were fantastic, flexible, and friendly. We didn't feel pressure like at other furniture stores. When the furniture was delivered, two couches were damaged, so we had them take them back. New couches were delivered the following week. There was a scratch on one but we kept it because our schedules hardly allow for a third delivery. A couch we kept from the original delivery had a scratch and we scheduled a technician to come out and fix it. That same week a tear in the leather formed. We were told that these were top of the line couches. Ashley customer services has been nice and helpful. Although the technician was able to fix the scratch and the tear, it really makes us nervous that we spent a lot of money on these couches and these issues have already started and we've had them for less than two weeks. read more

Kelly Larson, a sales associate, incorrectly described the terms of the financing when she was not qualified to interpret financing details at all. She neglected to mention that financing the purchase over 5 years at 0% (as opposed to 1 year at 0% or outright) meant you did not get the sale price. It was a $500 difference that we would have been charged if I had not noticed and cancelled before delivery. She was too pushy and I just wanted to browse without being checked on every 5 minutes. The store manager wasn't concerned with the way her staff was treating customers when I brought it up. Will never return again. read more

Our sales guy was Chad Schlei STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY - he talked about drinking the entire time we were making our purchase and was swearing in conversation - SO unprofessional and unacceptable. He told us before we purchased we should get them within a week. We purchased that day and left with a delivery date that was 3 weeks out. They rescheduled three times. Once due to lazy delivery people claiming there was ice on our driveway when we have photos proving there wasn't. Not to mention they showed up 2 hours early (outside of the SEVEN HOUR delivery time frame). Then rescheduled again due to weather. They finally came and brought the wrong fridge. We were without all appliances for a week and now had to unload and re-load our fridge TWICE just to do it once more when the new fridge is delivered. We were unable to get any specific details of when our new fridge would be coming. Said they'd arrange for a specific time for us so we don't have to miss a THIRD day of work. Just got the email and they gave us a SEVEN HOUR time frame AGAIN on a date that doesn't work for us. So I will now have to miss work for a THIRD time to assure we get our fridge in a timely matter. Not only has this caused us a HUGE inconvenience, the only compensation they offered was a $200 store gift card...as if we actually ever want to step foot in that store again. People we dealt with were rude, non-accommodating, lazy and incompetent. I will be telling everyone to avoid this place like the black plague. read more

I don't even know where to start with this place, just make sure you never buy anything from Ashley's in Richfield. We ordered a sectional couch from them back in November for a Black Friday deal. The first delivery of the couch had a broken sectional piece which we noticed immediately after the delivery people left. Not the end of the world as we were planning on ordering another small piece for the sectional anyway. We called and had a delivery scheduled for the replacement piece and the new piece for a few weeks later. The day comes and they gave us a four hour window for delivery which we stayed home and waited for them to come. They never showed up and gave us a call after about five hours saying they forgot to put the pieces on the truck. How nice. So after another phone call with customer service it was determined that someone had cancelled our order of the new sectional piece (that we already paid for) for some reason. So I go back and forth with Gary at Ashley's and he promises he will look into it. I don't hear back from him and he ignores phone calls into the store trying to say he will call you back later. He won't. I had to drive 45 minutes to the store and talk to customer service who was completely clueless about the whole situation. We are then told that the new piece we wanted is on back order and won't be delivered for six weeks. At this point I am beyond frustrated and they offer to swap the new sectional piece with a love seat piece and refund the cost of the new piece. The customer service lady told us we should see a refund on our card within ten days. I'm sure you see where this is going... NO REFUND was issued. They told me there must be some issue with my credit card company. I call them and sure enough no issue on their end, the refund was just never issued. I am then forced to explain this nightmare to people in Ashley's billing department and their heads nearly explode trying to understand it. After explaining the entire ordeal to multiple people, Jeanine in billing who seems to be the only competent person working at this place, finally comes to the conclusion that the refund should be issued and a few days later it was on my card. The final piece was delivered, although the delivery guys did not have record of it in their system. I think they are aware of how crappy their company is so they delivered it anyway.
