7/16/2026 It really is always a good time at the Amish market where you can bring the whole family and find something for everyone. From antiques, toys, body oils and more it's really a one stop shop. They also serve fresh food that will change your life forever BBQ, smoothies, sweet treats, homemade pickles the list goes on and on you can't help but try something while shopping around. Stopping at this place was a good way to start our Saturday morning. The Amish do an amazing job at cooking yummy food, sweets, and desserts. We were a party of 8 so it was a little tricky to find an empty big table. Once we were finally seated, we got in line for our food. We all ordered two logs each - different flavors. I was able to try the chicken buffalo, cheeseteak, steak with cheese, and a ham, egg, and cheese log. Alllll were good! They were hot, flavorful, and a decent size. Part of this is copied and pasted from my recent review of the Joppatown Flea Market - Since it was Saturday, the Amish Market was open so we got to stock up on candy. Peanut Chews in bulk!! Raspberry hard candies and gummies! Buy one, get one free leftover Halloween gummy bears and sour pumpkins!! And we had to get a little snack from the pretzel place. They were out of the breakfast logs. I got the chicken bacon ranch log and it was very satisfying. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak log, and a garlic pretzel. He seemed pleased with both. My mom got a plain pretzel. She ate every bite of it. It was decided that the pretzels here are better than the ones at the Dutch Market in Cockeyville, which we also visited recently. But the absolute winner of a find was the sodas from Reading. Blueberry Birch and Blackberry Cream. We couldn't decide which flavor was better. Pure cane sugar FTW!! This market is closer to our neighborhood, so we do go here year round, not just at Christmas. I am finally getting around to putting out my review for this Amish market, and guess what? I FREAKING LOVE IT! The soft pretzels are phenomenal. The little girls who make the cold cut subs know how to make an awesome sub! The ribs and potatoes (they call them fries), but they are more like potato wedges.... They are awesome! Best ribs I've had in awhile! I also really liked the macaroni salad. It's not the best macaroni salad I've ever tasted, but it's still pretty good. The coleslaw was really good too. At first, I thought they were offering Amish broasted chicken, but it's not exactly the same broasted chicken like they have up at The Bird In Hand family restaurant in the heart of Amish country, so that was slightly disappointing. Bottom line, most of the food is great, and while the prices have risen slightly, it's all still a good deal for great tasting food. read more

Gah, the only crappy thing about this place is that it's only open Thurs-Sat. Too bad we can't get this yummy goodness on Sundays! Some items are better than others. Here's what I recommend and don't recommend based on what I've tried - BBQ place: fried chicken, bbq ribs, pulled pork sando. SO CHEAP!! really depends on the day and time. just check what they have in the case to see how it looks.. some days are better than others - cream cheese from the dairy stand - meh.. not super creamy, more on the waxy side - bakery - bagels are just OK, not bad.. better than Sprouts bagels, maybe on the same level as Wegman's. the monkey bread and lemon cake was super yummy! we got a cake with cream in it one time, but that was whatever. i don't think i'd recommend anything with cream. haven't tried the donuts, but from the looks of it, doesn't look great (could be wrong tho) - pretzel stand - TOP NOTCH and fresh made. prob one of the best things there. - hot foods stand - ughhh the meatloaf is to die for - I forget how much it costs but the value, like everything else here, is AMAZING NOTE: in a kinda sketch strip mall kinda thing, we usually just look at the Amish market side and nothing else, lol. tables are not the cleanest depending on when you go, but I don't really expect a place like this to be sparkly clean! read more

Every time I'm visiting the in-laws in Joppatowne, Maryland, we stop at the Amish Farmer's Market. The food is great, savory, organic and freshly made. it's a fun place to go worth the family. However, it IS a bit small and the place looks like it needs a bit of TLC. On the other hand, they also have some sellers that offer antique, used or self-made products. It's a bit of everything. All in all, it's an ok place to check out. read more

Came for the market. Found the best pickles known to mankind. I have already graduated to getting a half gallon per week....just to keep up with demand. Then step to your left for pretzel logs. My favorite is the cheese steak. Then roll on up to the barbque. Chicken is off the hook. Followed up with mushroom caps. The sweet tea is prime... Don't forget to come back in the am for breakfast. 5 star, just like mom cooked on Saturday morning. read more

I am responding to a review by Azucar E. of Reisterstown, MD -she complained that the Amish Market looked more like a flea market. Guess what - it sits inside its own partially enclosed area within a flea market - the flea market is all around it. Also, the "filthy" restrooms (which I have never used) are outside the Amish Market area, so I don't know that they are responsible for maintaining them. The flea market is kind of seedy looking, as are some of the people who hang around out front. But I'll tell you what - that parking lot is bursting on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday when the Amish Market is open - it's nowhere near as full on Sunday or hours on other days when only the flea market is open. I really like some of the goods, but there are also some that I don't like - due to my own personal preferences, not because there's anything wrong with them. That's only normal - no one is going to like everything. The line at the barbeque place is always longggg, so they must be doing something right there for sure. And I do think some of the prices are too high. But overall I have to say that I love going there - I can always find something really good (and I have some favorites that I get often) - and I get a little exercise too, walking the entire length of the parking lot to get there. One other note - I have also been to the Pennsylvania Dutch Market in Cockeysville - it is much nicer, but they don't have to share the space with another business, so they can control how it looks much easier. I live in Joppa and, like many others in the area, I was very happy to see this Amish Market move in - Cockeysville is a long way away. read more
