I love everything about this place! I never know what I may find once I'm there. I left there today with all kinds of things to eat and snack on. I love the freshness of their items. I bought both my mom and my husband gingersnacks, the kids' cake pops, and assorted rice crispy treats! I found this guacamole, and it was delicious. The Parmesan and corned beef from the deli were so fresh. There are so many food options to choose from, and I love that they showcase other locally grown items from other farms. There is also a garden show where you can buy plants, flowers, various seeds, soil, and much more. Can we talk about how amazing their greenhouse is? It's a really nice spot to eat because it's heated. This is a great spot to catch lunch. Sweet iced tea 10/10: You can get free refills. 10 years ago this location was a frequent stop weekly for lunch as well as the occasional dinner carryout. Really good selection and it's one of the few spot that have all the good bakery items I recall from my childhood like German apple cake, pound cake, corn bread and the thinnest sugar cookies that are maybe more like chips than cookies. The variety of meals are long but my old staples was a scoop of the shrimp salad atop a small chef salad. Take home are tuna salad and some peanut butter cookies if available. Here's the problem: the place is always packed and at 11:30 today the deli line was 30 deep. It's nuts, so I now try and slip in when it doesn't appear to be as bustling. I love Richardsons! I must say my recent trip for chicken pot pie was a disappointment. I have been buying them for years because they are so good. This time even the weight had changed. It was light on the vegetables and gravy was nowhere near as thick as usual or as much chicken as in the past. I buy them for co-workers and even they noticed the difference before I said anything. Richardson's is the place to visit for farm to table prepared and fresh offerings. We go to purchase their turkey wings but you can get whole chickens, sectioned pieces of chicken, rabbit, a wide variety of baked goods, fruit and vegetables, ice cream and more. The only drawback is how fast it fills up which causes a traffic jam every single time. Nonetheless, the prices and quality of food is what keeps us going. read more

This food was mouth-wateringly delicious. I got the You Pick Two (1/2 sandwich + soup) and instantly scarfed down the Cream of Crab. The Turkey Boom Boom sandwich was so good and HUGE even as a 1/2 portion. I wish I took pics of the interior, since it gave such cute family farmer's market vibes, but trust me when I saw everything looked bangin. Consider me a regular now!! I ask for a side of it every time I order wings or a sandwich. They should bottle it for purchase. But the boom boom wings are so good. The meat off the wings just are juicy, flavorful and fall of the bone at first bite. I love this place especially during the holidays. I was expecting a farm stand, not a supermarket! Though... it's not really that either. Think grocery store meats farm stand meets country store? Either way, it does it all pretty well, but maybe none as well as a standalone might. You will find standard grocery store fair here, but some items are outrageously priced and some standard items you just might not find. It's kind of like a farm stand, but they do mix in some imported produce as well. This adds to the selection. And of course they have the kitzch of a country store. as a huge bonus, they have a fairly extensive menu of foods you can get to go - ranging from soups, sandwiches to hot plates. Came here for some lunch and to pick up some produce! I was so impressed by these wraps. Both were warm, hefty, and quite filling. The Zen Wrap has a teriyaki sauce on it that added a great flavor, and the carrots gave it a nice bit of crunch. I will say the teriyaki does lean toward the sweeter side, so if you're not a big fan of sweet & savory foods like that I wouldn't recommend it. I loved it! The Ancho Rancho Wrap basically tasted (to me) like a taco in a wrap. It has both an ancho chili sauce and ranch, which together are zesty and tangy with a subtle kick. I'm not a big fan of ranch, but I still enjoyed the flavor of this wrap. The sides were well-cooked and tasty. I believe they were specials, so they aren't available all week. We also picked up a beautiful head of purple (!) cauliflower, a house-made pumpkin maple pecan cream cheese, and a few different varieties of locally grown apples. The food quality definitely fell off. Rotisserie chicken used to be plump now it's shriveled and dry. Why are we changing the containers too? The paper boxes were great, then I got my food in a tiny plastic container that looked like a prison tray. Today I got my main smashed into a single plastic thing. I ordered collard greens that are cooked with smoked ham (or is it turkey?) Either way, it didnt have either. Nor did it have flavor. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich, there was no chicken to be found. He opened it up and it waa just tomato and lettuce. We got a Cesar salad, but it had bacon in it. The label didn't say anything about bacon, and hes a vegetarian! I mean...... cmon. What happened to Richardsons? Sorry but im not a fan of the kiosk ordering, then someone screaming your name when its ready. Was the old method when someone handed it to you, not efficient? For today, I got a U pick two for less than $10 including drinks. Food was great, even the chicken soup was tasty! For first-timers: fall in line (checkt the floor stickers) and give your order, wait until they call your name from the small rectangular window, get a drink on the right if you want or if included in your meal, pay in the front counters, then either take it home or dine al fresco on the right side of the building. We came to Richardson's to pick up some sides for Thanksgiving. First thing I noticed - yes it was busy but the way the store is set up made it confusing to maneuver and made people bump into each other more. The set up and flow of people needs to be thought through more. But there were tons of options - a whole produce section, hot section and anything you needed - pies, breads, etc. We got some sliced Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and stuffing. The turkey was odd - tasted like deli meat turkey but it was thicker so it was almost like a hybrid. Mashed potatoes were okay. Mac and cheese was also okay but hurt my stomach so not sure what was in it! The stuffing was the best one of the 4 to the point we may get our stuffing from there in the future. It was a convenient way to pick up some sides last minute but not sure I'm hurrying to go back. read more

My husband and I finally made it to this place. My sister-in-law who lives 40 miles away loves and raves about this place. She's been bragging about it for years! We finally took the drive up and she was absolutely right! The place could definitely use an expansion ultimately but I like it being small and quaint. It gives it a homey feel when you pull on the parking lot. It's a farm, so it's farm style, and it makes you feel like home. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the most pretty produce items as well as a good glimpse of the entire store. We spent almost 2 hours in there. They have so many condiments, fresh food items such as chicken and turkey parts, and a few others. They have a fresh deli where you can get different salads, cheeses and deli meats. There's a hot deli that has a daily rotating menu. The food looks good but taste even better. I value that they have 2 separate dining areas so you have options. They have a closed in patio on the side of this establishment beside the patio, they also have eating tables inside of the Garden Room. Life is all about choices and I'm glad we chose to go up to visit this place. We're already picked our next date to go back out and try some other things that we saw and I'm curious about. How have I lived so close to this place and NEVER BEEN?? Someone mentioned all the yummy food they picked up one day so I looked at the daily specials and wrote it on my calendar to go today for the crab cake lunch special. Crab cake, 2 sides and cornbread for only $14.99 (I think it's $15.99 if you add a drink which I did not). The crab cake was really good, and the portion sizes for the sides was impressive. They also got me with the cream of crab soup, added a medium size container on for $7.49. The soup has a good amount of crab meat. Couldn't surpass the desserts without picking up a slice of peach pie. Despite it being very busy, the order line and receiving of food was fast and seamless. Checkout was quick with 4 cashiers open. Chicken pot pie was great!! Hearty and filling. Not a fan of the Maryland Crab soup though. Think minestrone soup with a couple of spoons full of crab meat. Nothing special. Finally made it to Richardson Farms after hearing so much about the place. We stopped by on a Friday afternoon and to our surprise, the place was still pretty busy. We browsed the market entirely and picked up a few things like grilling sauce and seasonings for cooking at home. We also decided to dine there and ordered some food from the restaurant. Friday is crab day so I decided to try the crab cake, collard greens, and red potatoes. My husband loves chicken pot pie so of course he had to have that. We also tried a hand pie since the option this past Friday was pot roast! The pot roast hand pie could have used some gravy to set it off. It was a tad dry but the crust was very tasty. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie, as well as I lol it was flavorful and the crust perfect! I enjoyed my crab cake. It was a mixture of some fin and lump meat. Seasoned well but May have dried out a tad in the warmer. The red potatoes were cooked through and pretty good with a little added salt and pepper. I wasn't a big fan of the collared greens. The flavor was okay but there were quite a few stems and they were roughly chopped a little too big. The lemonade was refreshing. Perfectly sweetened and I really loved the added lemon piece. We decided to split a brownie for dessert. The brownie was so rich, moist, chocolatey and delicious!!! We'll definitely be going back to try various other options off the menu.
