Driving from southern Ohio to the east coast & was going to eat in Reynoldsburg - changed my mind last minute & wanted to drive farther. So glad we did. Naan was fabulous both the butter & garlic , delicious! Husband had butter chicken. Tasted just like it was straight from India. I had Saag Cholay-fantastic! Servings were double the size we could eat. Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow! Service was on top of it. Super fast and courteous. Food was homemade and faster than any nasty fast food place! There was Indian music playing on one tv with Indian videos. Everything looked freshly painted and very well maintained. We will definitely go back on our return home. Food, service, and atmosphere are perfect for a date night or anytime. We had the chicken korma (spice level 2) with butter naan and the chef's special biryani (spice level 3) with paneer nan. Everything was delicious and we both have leftovers to take home. Very nice restaurant. We got take out fairly late, so it was not busy. Everything was warm, flavorful and spice level was exactly what we requested. We had goat biryani and lamb kadai. The goat was tender, which is not common for most restaurants, but I specifically asked and the chef made sure it was perfect! It is done in traditional manner, so there is a little grissle and bone in the goat but that doesn't detract from such a wonderful dish. We also had the vegetable pakora, which was very good as well. Portion size was fairly large. We both had two meals from each serving. Even if we only got one meal out of each dish, the price would have been good. Came here on a whim for our anniversary and not wanting to travel far during an impending snow storm. So glad we did! What looks like an unassuming building on the outside is hiding an amazing ,modern themed, gem of a restaurant! Very clean and not at all kitschy. Food was excellent, some of the best I've had of this region. Both the Korma and Biryani were well prepared. Naan was excellent as well. Service was attentive without being overbearing. They were careful to ask how spicy we like our food (scale of 1-6) and the levels seemed on point. We were surprised to find they have an excellent, well stocked bar also. A few local crafts and some regional Indian lagers, and lots of spirits. Prices average around $17 for a dinner entree. Portions are large enough for some leftovers. I so hope this place is successful. The food and ambience is great.....a few dollars pricier than a few places in Columbus, but at least you don't have to drive to Columbus to find Indian cuisine. All you can eat buffet for lunch seven days a week, with a nice variety of different meat and vegetarian dishes. What an amazing surprise to find this beautiful Indian restaurant in downtown Zanesville! My husband and I stumbled upon this while searching for a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We have had Indian food across the globe, and this has to be some of the best we've ever had! The menu did not disappoint. Further, our meals blew us away with fragrant spices that danced on our taste buds for hours! We had lamb biryani (spice heat level 1), lamb rogan josh (spice heat level 3), and shrimp masala (spice heat level 1), along with 2 different types of naan bread and mango juice. We savored the meal all the following day as well, thoroughly enjoying the leftovers. Finding this restaurant helped us fall in love with our new town more than ever!
