During the appointment, Janae and I spoke for about 15 minutes. I told her that I'd make an appointment for my annual physical in May. I went to the front desk to make an appointment for a physical and was told that the appointment that I just had was a physical. I called the next day to clear up any misunderstanding, and make sure my insurance was billed accordingly and was told by the receptionist that she would check "with the office". She called me back and informed me that, because my insurance wants people to have physicals at the beginning of the year, it was a physical. I then told the receptionist that I normally ask for full bloodwork to be ordered at my annual physical, and that I'd like an order for bloodwork. The receptionist then told me that I'd have to make another appointment to come back to the office before an order for bloodwork would be written. It's not unique to this office, but the entire healthcare system is a scam, one which this practice fully embraces. It's built upon making patients unnecessarily, and repeatedly, come in for appointments for the purpose of billing insurance companies.

By the time you go and fill your form online, they give you a fake appointment and then you have to wait another two weeks to be seen . Half the time the phone is only answered with a rude hello. The office staff is constantly (except for the 1 new guy) is rude, short tempered, always on their cell l phone, efficient at some things is the nicest thing I can say. I would run and never come back except I LOVE and respect the expertise of the DR. If I could deal with just him and the clinical staff it would be the best experience. I have tried to schedule a call with him 3 times to let him know and I have never receive call back. They sat on submitting insurance information for two weeks and then lied about it until I asked for the documentation and then there was not even apology. There was just a answer of "sometimes we get busy." It is not worth your time money or emotional energy to go to this office until Dr. Is able to get a handle on his team. Specifically his Ofc Manager, Paul. This gentleman is rude and ruthless. The ofc constantly mixed up my visit bills with my husbands visit bills and acted annoyed when we questioned it. We still continued to visit the practice until recently when we received a $1,160. Bill from LabCorp. We have BlueCross Insurance and they only use Quest as in network. We had our Lab work done at the practice and they send it to LabCorp instead of Quest. When the doctor was informed by me of this, he was surprised and apologize and told me to send the bill that they would take care of it. 7 months later and they haven't. My insurance has been involved and LabCorp is aware of the situation and out of sympathy have not send us to collections, but his Ofc Manager refuses to deal with this bill and keeps giving us the run around. I have no way to contact Dr. Manalo. We have already found a different Primary Physician and are now dealing with our attorney so they can directly take care of this situation before our credit gets negatively impacted. My husband had surgery Dec 8, 2016. Before going in he had been having very high blood pressure, had several episodes of kidney stones, was in chronic pain especially his heels, knees, elbows & wrists, he battled chronic fatigue, sleep apnea, heart burn & extreme moodiness. Up to being on the stretcher going into surgery I requested pillows to help prop up his knees & lay across his lap to rest his hands on to try to make him more comfortable which he still was NOT. After going back to prep for surgery, have surgery & wake up in recovery approx an hour my husband was in better mood! He had his IV out & was talking. I asked him if he needed his pillows back & he said he was fine & wasn't hurting at all. When discharged a couple hrs later he was ready to eat! We went back to the hotel by shuttle & ate in their restaurant. He ate mild hot wings, blacked fish & seasoned veggies with lemonade to drink. Fasting for surgery and being about 4 pm (this is food & drink he generally can't tolerate on a normal day!!!) I was surprised he did well. When we got back to the room we played a full game of rummy with him wide awake (out of character with his usual preference to nap without being in surgery). After the game of cards he wanted Pizza so I ordered a pepperoni Pizza with great warning! But he tolerated it!!! That night he tried to get us up & on the road to head back to the Panhandle of Florida which took us 6 hrs to get there due to road construction & heavy steady traffic. When we got home he proceeded to go out to work in his garage! He has surgery less than 24 hrs ago. He has so much energy compared to before. He (we) now sleep all through the night without to 10-20 episodes of apnea that waked us up before each night. His blood pressure is now within normal limits & NO MORE bone & joint pain. He had a small growing lesion above his left eye lid for a solid year BUT it disappeared. I am hopeful he won't have anymore kidney stones. My happy, friendly husband is back! He had been missing for 12-14 yrs! This group of persons that work there were all extremely kind & informative. They answered questions I did not think of yet. The doctors are extremely confident about their knowledge & surgery of the Parathyrold. While we were there waiting for him to come from surgery we met people from New York and out West. One had previous surgery at a Mayo clinic but they were not complete in their surgery & she needed another so they referred her there. I am so THANKFUL for their practice & expertise! Worth the surgery!!!!!
