I hesitated to provide a public review for this mental health clinic for privacy reasons. I…read moreunderstand that seeking support in addressing mental health challenges is deeply personal and varies widely from person to person. I also understand that many people don't seek help because of a real or imagined social stigma to doing so. However, I believe it's important for all of us to share reliable resources that may be helpful to others in need of emotional healing or support. I chose the Holistic Mental Health Clinic as a resource for emotional healing, particularly in the area of post-traumatic stress. I was hesitant to make an appointment anywhere, and I am fortunate that I chose this clinic. The clinic provides a professional and safe environment in a medium-sized office building located in St Peterburg, Florida. It is located in a partly-residential area of the city on a main street where parking is not a problem. There is a dedicated parking lot next to the building that offers free parking. My experience at this clinic was rewarding. My counselor, Lynn, was very professional, intelligent, capable, thorough, and caring. I found Lynn to be reliable, dependable, well-grounded, and honest at all times. Lynn added professional guidance and value to my healing process and she taught me coping skills that were proven, balanced and effective. Lynn was never judgmental. She always had my best interests as her primary objective. Lynn never promised unrealistic expectations, and she skillfully facilitated my healing process emotionally, physically, and spiritually by offering insightful and proven strategies that I could adapt to my lifestyle. Although Lynn was an essential part of my healing process for whom I will always be extremely grateful, the professional relationship we had between us was based on self-empowerment and mutual cooperation, not dependence. She presented opportunities for healing and learning, but never encouraged me to do more than I was comfortable doing. She identified challenge areas that I had not seen, and gently but confidently encouraged me to push through areas of discomfort and challenge myself when I felt ready. As far as my expectations as to outcome, Lynn created mutually agreed upon goals for my sessions, clarifying both health-related and cost-related expectations. She never cut my sessions short. All my expectations were either met to my satisfaction or exceeded. My health insurance does not cover counseling, but my overall spiritual, emotional and physical well-being is something that I value and I juggled my budget to afford this investment in myself. I have never regretted that I did so and the results I experienced were both impressive and have been on-going. The clinic was at all times transparent in its billing practices, accepted credit cards as payment, and accommodated my scheduling and budget concerns to the extent it could do so. Like many professional organizations that are entirely service-based for individuals, this clinic similarly charges for "no show" appointments. I never had the impression that fees were more important than my well-being. I recommend this clinic for anyone experiencing a mental health challenge and I encourage you to set up an initial consultation. However, whether it will be a good fit for you -- or right for you at this time in your life -- is something you and someone at the clinic will need to determine (you should ask what the rate for an initial consultation would be in advance ). Best wishes to you, and God bless.

RELIEF! This experience was tragic for us. But their experience & confidence in what they do made…read morelife so much easier for us to endure through the process beginning to end. My husband had surgery Dec 8, 2016. Before going in he had been having very high blood pressure, had several episodes of kidney stones, was in chronic pain especially his heels, knees, elbows & wrists, he battled chronic fatigue, sleep apnea, heart burn & extreme moodiness. Up to being on the stretcher going into surgery I requested pillows to help prop up his knees & lay across his lap to rest his hands on to try to make him more comfortable which he still was NOT. After going back to prep for surgery, have surgery & wake up in recovery approx an hour my husband was in better mood! He had his IV out & was talking. I asked him if he needed his pillows back & he said he was fine & wasn't hurting at all. When discharged a couple hrs later he was ready to eat! We went back to the hotel by shuttle & ate in their restaurant. He ate mild hot wings, blacked fish & seasoned veggies with lemonade to drink. Fasting for surgery and being about 4 pm (this is food & drink he generally can't tolerate on a normal day!!!) I was surprised he did well. When we got back to the room we played a full game of rummy with him wide awake (out of character with his usual preference to nap without being in surgery). After the game of cards he wanted Pizza so I ordered a pepperoni Pizza with great warning! But he tolerated it!!! That night he tried to get us up & on the road to head back to the Panhandle of Florida which took us 6 hrs to get there due to road construction & heavy steady traffic. When we got home he proceeded to go out to work in his garage! He has surgery less than 24 hrs ago. He has so much energy compared to before. He (we) now sleep all through the night without to 10-20 episodes of apnea that waked us up before each night. His blood pressure is now within normal limits & NO MORE bone & joint pain. He had a small growing lesion above his left eye lid for a solid year BUT it disappeared. I am hopeful he won't have anymore kidney stones. My happy, friendly husband is back! He had been missing for 12-14 yrs! This group of persons that work there were all extremely kind & informative. They answered questions I did not think of yet. The doctors are extremely confident about their knowledge & surgery of the Parathyrold. While we were there waiting for him to come from surgery we met people from New York and out West. One had previous surgery at a Mayo clinic but they were not complete in their surgery & she needed another so they referred her there. I am so THANKFUL for their practice & expertise! Worth the surgery!!!!!
