We were referred here by our OBGYN for potential clubbed feet, I'm not sure why we even went they did the same ultrasound our OB did and just basically confirmed the diagnosis and referred us somewhere else. They charged us over $1,000 to do the same scan and same diagnosis. Do not be fooled, ask your ob if it's required for you to go there or if they can just refer you to a specialist. They make up an excuse to charge you for anything they can. We got charged for an 'add on heart ultrasound" and my OBGYN stated that was not something they requested. Just beware of going here. I was referred to the ultrasound tech by my obgyn because they were too booked. The ultrasound tech was SO ROUGH. Pressing on the baby's head, and on her body, which were pushing so hard into my body, that I'm severely SORE, even two hours after the ultrasound I tried several times to say ouch you are hurting me, but she just kept going. I have no clue how they deal with high risk pregnancies at this place. With my complications, I was to stay off any exercise or heavy lifting, but here's this ultrasound tech putting heavy pressure onto me and my poor baby. I would never recommend anyone to go here. Amomi was referred to me by Paradise valley OB since i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I got an appointment immediately and was taken in less than 3 days-knowing how busy places can be! I met with Bethany here and she explained to me how I can manage my eating habits and has helped me with a diet plan that helped lower my blood sugar. Im very pleased with the service here and even came back for an ultrasound. The tech really took her time with us and gave me and my husband a sense of relief knowing that my baby is fine! One of the only businesses left still being super strict and confusing about COVID. Couldn't have more than two people in the room but yet they didn't enforce the mask policy. So frustrating how inconsistent and nonsensical they are about their rules. Give it up!! Pregnancies are so sacred and fleeting, allow family in to experience it with their loved ones! Avoid this place!! I recently called in to schedule and get some pricing on their spa services. First of all I called twice nobody ever picked up. After the third time finally someone picked up. Receptionist was rude and seemed as she was there as her punishment. She couldn't give me pricing for the spa service even though the service I was interested in was listed on their website.She said she doesn't have idea on pricing and that she isn't the right person to ask. She told me that esthetician will have to call me back and rushed to hang up. I asked her how is she gonna call me if she didn't take my number to which she replied that since I came in before they have it...(mind you she never even asked me for my name or anything just asked if I used their spa services before! Anyhow.I gave her my phone number and name and waited for someone to call me back. Few hours later someone from the office calls me back asking me if I wanted to schedule an appointment for the spa services to which I replied that yes I would like to but at the same time before i schedule I would like to know how much will the procedure cost. She replied with "oh,ok well I will have someone call you back with prices as I have no idea" After that nobody ever bothered to call me back. So unprofessional. This is the very first time I ever encounter situation like this with any place honestly...Poor customer service. Do not go here. It's taken me a long time to write this as I tried to convince myself they meant well. I was sent here after 2 "non result" NIPT tests at my OB. Amomi got the referral and called asking me to come in immediately as if it was an emergency and something was wrong with my baby. I took time off work and arranged to drive the 45 minutes with my husband to see Dr Francoise. We sat down, answered all of the questions, and then I was compared to the kool-aid man, my body is just SO big that my baby's DNA couldn't be picked up. Fine - maybe she didn't mean to do this. But - It was an hour long "urgent" appointment making me feel like absolute sh*t, I'm overweight, I'm going to get preeclampsia, I'm going to have gestational diabetes and none of the noninvasive genetic tests would work so did I want to have an amniocentesis and risk miscarriage even though I had zero risk factors other than being a SIZE 14 pre-pregnancy and later size 18 at my highest during the pregnancy. I'm sorry but what do even larger women do? Just accept poor treatment? Honestly I feel traumatized by the whole thing. They made me think my baby was NOT ok and he was fine. I did not have preeclampsia, I did not have diabetes, I did have a healthy baby despite the panic and unnecessary guilt caused by my appointment at this place. Never again. read more

Ok, first and foremost this is a review of my TOTAL experience, not just my consultation. I was referred to Amomi by my OBGYN. Prior to being seen, they request your insurance information, contact your insurance carrier to make sure that the services are covered, then they call you back with a YAY or NAY. Well, I was called back with a YAY, went in and met with Dr. Harris, and a few months later...get the $500 bill for my 45 minute chit chat with her (she seemed nice, but $500? for what?). Believing this must be an error (how is it possible that $0 was covered when they assured me that they had contacted my insurance carrier?), I contacted the billing department, they said they would fix the error, and I went along my merry little way...and a couple of months later got ANOTHER bill...and an additional $40 late fee...so then I spoke with their billing department again, they told me that they saw the history and information from my previous discussions with them and to write them a letter to get the issue resolved, I wrote the letter and guess what...still not resolved. I'm livid. Not to mention that there was nothing about the 45 minute consultation that I didn't already know, really didn't feel like there were any questions she asked me to learn about any concerns I might have, and I didn't receive ANY sort of benefit from this expensive, worthless lesson. I feel taken advantage of and upset about the entire situation. read more

On May 4, 2012, while on vacation, I had a pedicure with Christine who injured me by removing live skin. A deep wound quickly formed and became infected, causing great and constant pain and making walking almost impossible. At the time, the doctor came to look at the injury and advised against using topical antibiotic. Now 3 weeks later the wound remains unhealed and the pain remains severe so that walking is extremely difficult. I've called several times and the first time the doctor called me back. I've requested a refund and only received one for the tip. I have seen a doctor since returning to DC who is treating the infection. What was to have been a relaxing hour was instead and remains a painful experience. read more

I feel physically sick over this company. I got an email yesterday saying I have a balance due with Scottsdale Perinatal Associates/ AmomiSpa. I went to them for my 20 week anatomy scan in 2016 and the ultrasound tech told me my daughter had Dandy Walker syndrome. The doctor then came in and told me to terminate my pregnancy. All over ONE scan. I never EVER want anything to do with those doctors ever again. They have no empathy and should never tell someone that their only option is abortion! My daughter is beautiful, strong, healthy and smart! Those doctors are wrong and I would highly suggest that nobody ever go there! read more

I was sent to Amomi spa from my OBGYN for my first pregnancy to get all of my ultrasounds. I felt very at ease the first time I walked in because of the very clean place and friendly staff. Every ultrasound technician I have had has been really great and knowledgable. I really like that they have high tech equipment with big plasma tv's on the wall so I could see a big,clear picture of the baby. Also, the large spacious rooms are really nice. On a side note, they have great products to buy in the lobby. Now pregnant with my 2nd baby, my OB referred me to 2 different places this time for my ultrasounds. Without hesitation I knew I wanted to go back to Amomi spa again to get all of my ultrasounds. I have already been twice this time around and looking forward to going again in a few weeks. read more

WORST MASSAGE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! The spa has gone downhill!! I used to come here when I was pregnant (2015) and it was amazing. Do not waste your time or money. Never have I felt the urge to walk out of the service mid-massage... until today. After being brought back to the room, I found out the masseuse had been in finance for 10 years and decided to work in the wellness industry this past January. That should have been a red-flag immediately but I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt. She was terrible. I should have listened to my gut. My 6-year old daughter could have done a better job blindfolded. I have a kink in my neck STILL and the lady barely spent any time on my head or shoulders. There was a lot of swirling of the hands and that's about it. I chalk that up to being lazy and uneducated. After spending $135, I had to have my husband rub my neck tonight because I had so much tension. I would rate this as massage envy quality. Bleh! read more

It is impossible to book an appointment here due to renovations and employees that quit. After requesting someone call me 4 times, I finally went in person to ask for a refund for my gift card. While I was declined cash value, I was offered a free massage. I had the massage and it was one of the worst experiences. The prenatal pillow they have you lie on your tummy on is super uncomfortable and at 33 weeks I felt like I was smashing my son. I was having difficulty breathing and was too hot the whole time. There is also almost nothing they can actually massage on your body because you are pregnant, which I understand, but I felt like I spent an hour having someone else rub lotion on my body (while simultaneously suffocating and smashing my child). I don't recommend the massage! Two stars for the fact that I was at least offered a free service for all of my frustration, thank you Heather! read more

This office is great. We have never had to wait more than five minutes past our appointment times and often times they see us early if we arrive early. Every single person from the front desk, to each ultrasound tech and the doctors and nurse practitioner are all so wonderful. We have never been met with anything but kindness and professionalism. Amazing IPL photofacial. I've had good ones and crappy ones and this is truly one of the good ones. Fine lines were removed and sun spots disappeared. This location is about as far from my house as you can get and still be in the valley but I wouldn't go anywhere else. Don't trust anywhere you go where you don't see results the first time and they tell you that you just need more sessions. You will undoubtedly see results here, the "coffee grounds", the first time. read more

She diagnosed my wife with preeclampsia, when she didn't have it, to try and force us into a c-section because doctor Harris was uncomfortable with the pregnancy. Her partner told my wife that doctor Harris just wanted to be done with the pregnancy. Then when we tried to leave her and go to another doctor dr Harris made it very difficult and would not transfer records to our new dr. Our new doctor immediately stated that my wife was not in preeclampsia, and took our triplet pregnancy another week and half. There is so much more to this story, if you choose this practice, do not choose dr Harris. read more

It conducted a "special" ultrasound on my wife and then billed us an additional $400 for that service. Not once were we told this had been changed or that it would not be covered by insurance. I went here for my 20 week anatomy scans. First impression- more spa than doctor office. It was hard to feel completely confident in the legitimacy of the place as a doctor's office when the waiting room is all spa products and it says spa on the door and spa on Apple maps. Ok so I walk in and have to stand there while the front desk girl takes three calls. It was an irritating start. They told me several times in advance of appt to arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. So I did. I also had to confirm a bunch of questions before hand from a link in an email. When the girl finally gets off the phone she informs me that there is no additional paperwork. This is so inconsiderate of my time and my spouse's who left work earlier than necessary! THEN after sitting there for a half an hour I expect to be brought back on time. Nope. We sat 20 more minutes. I was so frustrated- nearly an hour of our time wasted. When we finally got called back I mentioned this and the ultrasound tech said that they tell patients to arrive 30 minutes early because they are often late and then they mess up the schedule so the whole day is running late. I wanted to scream. So you don't want to mess up YOUR productivity but it's okay to mess with mine and my family's?? And YOU'RE inconsiderate to ME because sometimes other people are inconsiderate to YOU?? At the end the tech did apologize but it seemed more like a "sorry this happened to you but there is nothing we can do" type apology. Ugh. It was a terrible experience. My back hurt from being pregnant and sitting on those weird deep couches in the lounge for too long. The tech and doctor did explain everything from the scan which was great but pretty much expected, and it didn't make up for the crappy experience. There weren't any 3D scans like other places do either. Overall I'd strongly advise you to avoid this place and head over to Valley Perinatal. I went there for my other pregnancies and it was stellar service and great patient/scan experience. They treat their patients with a lot more respect and don't waste their time. read more

Dr Harris neglected to place a cerclage (after it worked with our last one) and this resulted in us having a premature baby born at 29 weeks. Very disappointed and will not be going back with any future pregnancies. Is this practice actually a high risk OB GYN? I'm definitely skeptical of them having this title.... read more

Dr. Francois is the best! She delivered my little girl in Nov. 2013 and I am currently pregnant again. She is the most caring, intelligent doctor I have ever encountered and I work in the medical field. Her nurses are amazing as well. I have never had an issue with anything. I went to Amomi for laser hair removal. I had gotten it done previously, and was recommended by my aesthetician in Bend, OR. The first time I went in I waited in the lobby for someone to come get me. It was very accommodating and comfortable. When my name was called, they walked me back to the spa and offered me a beverage. When I finally got to the room, it had great light and felt warm. The actual procedure only lasted about 10 minutes, and the aesthetician catered to my needs very well. She was very thorough with the areas that were being treated and went at my own pace. She definitely made me feel comfortable and that I could trust her. If you are looking into laser hair removal, I would highly recommend Amomi as they do incredible work, use great lasers, have a staff that cares, and makes you feel great about your body! read more

My wife (a physician) and I choose Amomi after leaving another OBGYN. My wife had experience with two OBGYN practices as she lost our first very early term fetus and had used two separate practices for care prior to Amomi. My wife is considered a higher risk due to her age (38). We came to Amomi after hearing from numerous people in the medical field about how much Drs. Harris and Francois care about patients. We also heard about their top notch medical training, philosophy for treating patients as individuals, their listening to the needs of patients and choosing to dedicate their careers toward caring for those riskier patients that are in the greatest need. Our baby is now 3 weeks old; I have taken the time to only write a few yelp reviews but I feel compelled to commend this excellent medical practice which exceeded our very high expectations which were set by our deep experience with doctors and the reputation Amomi has in the west. Obviously, a higher risk pregnancy requires more doctor medical visits than most. 100% of our visits were un-rushed, thorough, considerate and given in the most comfortable and well designed environment. We were cared for by Dr. Harris and her excellent nurse (a PHD) who are well synchronized in their passion for treating women. Dr. Cathleen Harris has to be one of the most intelligent physicians we have met and someone who has the unusual skill to balance the science and the art of medicine. She was comfortable with all questions, taking her time to ensure that we understood. She is open and respectful of patients in explaining risks and letting her patient know that they are the ultimate decision maker. Dr. Harris has the intellectual horsepower to go as deep or lite into the science as desired by the patients and/or other medical providers. Of course I must also add that Dr. Harris delivered my wife which was the highlight of our experience with her. When we placed the first call (1am) to discuss the beginning of labor her partner Dr. Francois was warm, knowledgeable and friendly in answering our questions. Once we were in the hospital Dr. Harris was timely, attentive, immediately available at all times (staying in the room for hours) and coached and monitored the long labor. Dr. Harris stayed within immediate contact with my wife for almost 7 hours, helping her through labor & constantly weighing the risks and issues that were inherent in our baby's delivery. Dr. Harris took extra and unusual care in assuring that my wife had ample time to attempt vaginal delivery which took much time and work by our wonderful doctor; most doctors might have moved quickly to C section. While our baby was delivered vaginally we had the full confidence that Dr. Harris would take the delivery to a successful C section if needed. Our baby was delivered at 12:05pm and Dr. Harris was with us from 6am. She visited us each of the next two days. As the father I have never had such confidence in a doctor; I am the CEO of a healthcare company with ample experience with physicians. Dr. Harris is the best I have dealt with. I must also add that for the next 2 days while we were in the hospital we heard from the nurses about their admiration of Dr. Harris and her practice. One of our nurses said that Dr. Harris deals with the high risk pregnancies she tends to be the most patient, kind to staff, most likely to honor patient wishes. Of course, the nurses also said Dr. Harris is an excellent surgeon when emergencies arise. Amomi was one of the best customer experiences we have ever had. Dr. Harris has attended some of the top training programs in the country and we benefited greatly from this and from her work ethic. I highly recommend Dr. Harris if a family can be so lucky as to get in with her. read more

I came here in 2014 and was blown away! It was the most amazing massage and experience I have ever had, and I am pretty picky with my massages. They had this pregnancy pillow that made me feel like I was floating on a cloud, all my aches and pains went away and I was able to lay on my stomach again! I was SO excited to go again this time around, I was looking forward to just being able to lay on my stomach and my husband indulged in the 80 minute massage for me because I still would rave about it to this day. They took me back to get changed and I noticed they didn't have their big plush robes and slippers that they used to have that was actually a really nice treat. So I thought oh well! Your only in that for a minute.. not a big deal.. and I get called back to the room just for them to tell me they don't have the pillow anymore and they do side laying massages I was super disappointed! The massage was good but I really didn't enjoy getting a massage on my side. (I was getting pretty uncomfortable toward the end) If I would have known that, there's no way I would have paid $135 for a massage. So, all in all, it wasn't a bad experience, but it definitely was WAY better 3 Year's ago, and I am disappointed and sad that their quality has gone down read more

Dr. Francois is the absolute best! I will forever be grateful that she was my OB for the pregnancy and delivery of my twin boys. She has a wonderful bedside manner, is genuinely caring, and is very easy going. I knew I was in good hands throughout my pregnancy but once I delivered and developed life-threatening complications out of the blue I realized just how great she truly is. Dr. Francois was able to keep what could have been a very chaotic situation under control and she was right by my side the entire time. She saved my life and helped to bring my two miracles into the world. If you are in need of a high risk OB then I could not recommend her enough! read more

I have two experiences to share, my first pregnancy was horrible, high risk etc...after being induced by Dr. Francois (because Dr. Harris was ill) I went to Scottsdale Healthcare Shea where my excitement turned to horror. The nurse dropped the ball and either they or Dr. Francois gave me to much of the medicine, my son dropped very quickly (I went from 5cm to 10 in about 15min) and his cord got wrapped around his shoulder leaving him without oxygen. They could not turn him and so I was told I would have an Emergency C Section. The nurses panicked and froze. My husband had to pull cords out of the wall and get my bed out of the room. My son was born un-responsive and required to be re-resuscitated. I then had to make a hard decision to have my infant son transferred to Phx Childrens Hospital where he stayed for 12 days and had several followup appointments for a year after being born. Fast Forward to my second pregnancy where I was assured this time would be different....well they were not kidding...this time Dr. Harris performed my planned C-Section (this time I had gestational Diabetes and Placenta Previa) and everything went as planned or so I thought. A few months after my delivery I called the office and told the receptionist that I was still bleeding and needed to speak to someone. I was informed at this time that because I was no longer pregnant I was not technically a patient of Amomi and needed to follow up with my regular OB. But that bleeding was normal and all patients are different after giving birth/nursing etc. I went on for a few months more until I needed to go and see my regular doc for my routine checkup. I happened to mention casually that I was still bleeding nearly 6 months after giving birth...turns out Dr. Harris left a piece of my placenta inside of me and that what was causing my continuous bleeding. It was in my uterine lining and needed to be surgically removed as in I needed to go back to the hospital and have another surgery to correct a mistake made by Dr. Harris. Now let me just state that before this I was forgiving of my first delivery but at this point now looking back I have to wonder if these doctors are actually worth the risk. (Pun Intended right) I would highly recommend doing your research on high risk OB's during your pregnancy's after all it is our job to protect our unborn children and ourselves and I just do not have the confidence level in this organization due to my experiences. Ultimately I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

I am pregnant and I started going to Amomi for prenatal massages and I love them for that. They are wonderful when it comes to message, but if your looking to getting waxed I would definitely not go to them. I went in for a Brazilian wax for the first time there and the woman was very nice but it seemed like she hadn't been doing it for very long. She didn't do the full Brazilian because she didn't feel comfortable and it is very pricey. So again when it comes to the spa I would definitely recommend them for massage but for no waxing services. read more

I will give Dr. Francois a 5-star, she's great! Very sweet and caring. The front staff a 1-star. They are the opposite of Dr. Francois. I called to schedule an appointment and I told them I was in the neighborhood and could drop off my doctors order. They said no, just have it faxed, when I mention that I didn't have access to a fax and can still drop off the order they told me to call my doctor and have it faxed. They are so unwilling to work with you and make it easy for you to schedule an appointment. Also they said that once they receive the order that they would call me but that never happened. I'm a busy person working full-time now with my second pregnancy, a toddler, school...they need to remember that people are busy and don't have time to wait by the phone to see when it is convenient for them to call you. Still no follow-up! I went to Amomi with my first pregnancy and two years ago it was the same story with the front office staff. If they're that busy they need to get more people up there. I don't think customer service is their number one priority. But when you are expecting you would think that this type of service would cater to its patients. So my review includes my previous experience and now my second current experience, still not impressed. read more
