My husband and I once again trying to support local but apparently being on your cellphone is priority and customer service is not. A female waitress with glasses took our order and served us our appetizer and drinks, a male served us our meals a different female asked if we wanted another drink at the end of our meal, gave us our bill and a take out container for my husband's leftovers. She asked if everything was alright, I said no, my chicken was suppose to be grilled, her only response was I'll tell your server, no apology and our server never came back. Our bill was $80.10, I paid $81, only because I didn't have anything smaller than a dollar bill. Needless to say we won't be returning to this place ANYTIME in the near future and I'll happily tell everyone about my experience. read more

Ordered take out delivery on a business trip. The Lobster Ravioli hit the spot. The small garden salad was ok, but covered by cheap croutons that I mostly brushed off. Came with two garlicky rolls, which was a nice surprise. Got the Limoncello cake which was overly sweet and had more frosting than cake. The order came about a half hour late because it was not ready when the delivery person went to pick it up. I would still order from here in the future if I was craving Italian. read more

Don't let the sad gray exterior deter you from enjoying this yummy Italian food inside Amore! We had bruschetta which was delicious! They have a full bar and a good selection of wines. Bonus, they were 20% off the night we were there! Hubby had the lobster bisque. A little salty but rich good flavor. I had the lobster ravioli with a delicious pink sauce. It's so hard to review beloved places in small towns. We came to visit my homebound aunt and decided to do take out from here. We placed an order over $80. This review is not on all the items. I got shrimp scampi. The shrimp were large but extremely rubbery and tasteless. The pasta didn't have much flavor either. Also in the order was a margarita pizza. The toppings was fabulous and flavorful. But the crust is almost soggy. It doesn't translate well to take out. The stuffed mushrooms and ravioli were great. Would I eat here again? I walked in as soon as the doors opened as I was anxious to try the place everyone talks about, I placed my order at 11:05 I didn't get served til' 11:36. I was still patient up until I seen others who arrived and ordered later than me get served hot steamy food. I had my toddler with me so I wasn't the only one who was looking around at food, once we finally got our meal it just looked sloppy put together as if it was rushed or forgot about until last minute. My waitress was so kind to deduct half my ticket as I mentioned the chicken was still cold in the middle. I tipped her kindly but I was very disappointed. Driving through town on the way to Carlsbad, we stopped here to eat. A very nice looking, somewhat cozy place, with a nice atmosphere. The service was very good. The price was VERY high. More than our visit to Texas Roadhouse just the night before in Dallas. Twice as much as El Jimador in Carlsbad. The Fettuccini cream sauce was quite liquid to the point of runny. What a wonderful find! This restaurant has only been opened for 3 weeks. I was in Snyder Texas for a Western swing festival. After driving all day it was time for dinner. Amore has a nice menu and reasonable prices. The food is definitely homemade and not out of a box Our meals came with bread and salad I had the chicken parmesan. Two nice sized breaded chicken breasts smothered in mozzarella. A side of pasta with one of the best red sauces I have had. My friend had the lasagna and loved it! I thought he was going to lick his plate. Lol. We were too full for dessert but will have it next time. The only down side is they do not have their liquor license yet. You can bring your own wine, which we will do next time. You will do well AMORE if you keep the food quality and service where it is. read more

We drove in from New Mexico and we started to lose hope on getting a good meal since it was Sunday and on the drive there wasn't much open. We pulled into Amore around 933 pm and they close at 10. When we walked in a woman probably a manger walked up and said yeah? I responded, we were hoping to order some food? She responded, to go? Since we are driving and hadn't locked in a hotel yet I say can we sit at the bar? She seemed annoyed and said sure! At this point my fiancé was uncomfortable but I really wanted to sit down and quickly have a hot meal. Thank the universe for Alex. He was the bartender on shift and he honestly changed the mood instantly. He welcomed us, introduced himself and was very nice. My fiancé ordered a shot of Jager Meister. We quickly went over the menu and agreed on sharing a tour of Italy. I saw the gentleman next to us having bread so I asked Alex if we could have some. He obliged. Our food came out with two plates for easy sharing. Alex checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking. The food was delicious and hit the spot. But if I'm being completely honest if it wasn't for Alex I wouldn't be giving this restaurant 5 stars because of the woman who received us at the entrance. Alex honestly made our visit a great one. We started to rush, ask for a box and the check and Alex immediately said please take your time. We told him we felt bad and he said No, please relax and enjoy your meal! When I took it to the manager, instead of offering another option or expressing regret, he yelled at me, stating, "Lady, I've been in the restaurant business over 8 years!"
