Originally came for Berthillon, but it was unfortunately under renovation when we visited : / BUT I wasn't too disappointed because Amorino was a block away. I've seen their gelato cornets on social media for a while, and there's a location in my area in Beverly Hills, but I never made a visit until now. The store is located on the island of Saint-Louis, in the middle of the Seine. We walked from Notre-Dame, which was doable but much further than we thought. The closest subway station would have to be Pont Marie. There are 5 sizes for gelato in a cup, and three sizes for the cones. The flavor selection is decent, but limited compared to other ice cream shops. They also sell macarons, and you can top your cornet with one as well. In addition, there's also crepes, coffee, and cold drinks available for purchase. We thoroughly enjoyed our flowery creations, the gelato was super flavorful and smooth. The chocolate flavors were indulging, and the macaron topping was fresh and decadent. Prices were on the higher side, but much more effort is put into their products, so it was well worth the premium.

So good and so pretty! We got a classic cone with four flavours in a shape of a flower. We got mango, coconut, cheesecake and black cherry. My favorite flavours were the cheesecake and coconut. We also added a mango macaron on top. Just a heads up, the cone is not a waffle cone so it's meh but the ice cream itself is amazing! The waitress was nice and let us try a few before selecting. On a side note, i preferred the salted caramel flavour from here than the Berthillon one.

Word to the wise: Make sure to select their largest size. I made the mistake of choosing the smaller size and wanted to turn around just a few steps down the street. Take it from a fat kid, this ice cream or whatever I had was awesome. I just asked for the flower thing on the poster, they gave me a few samples, then I created my masterpiece of three flavors. Now, don't expect any southern hospitality, but know that the ice cream is worth it.

During my recent trip to Paris, we stopped by Amorino. It is a darling gelato shop located in St Louis en I'ile. When it comes to gelatos it is one of the best around. The flavors are rich, creamy, and flavor full. They offer a wide selection of flavors to choose from. Their Nutella gelato is absolutely amazing. I wish I could just bottle it up and take it home with me *drooling*. Each cone is scooped in the shape of a flower. Not only delicious but pretty to eat at the same time.

Excellent gelato and frozen delights. Very good definition to the flavor with intense fruit flavors. Expensive, but delicious.

A petit cone with 3 flavors.

Fabled to be the best ice cream (gelato) in Paris. Although I haven't done enough research to judge, it was very good with the kids begging to go back as soon as possible. The artistic scoopers, painstakingly create a flower from your color choices using many different paddles. Beautiful and delicious! We tried the chocolate, cafe, raspberry, straciatella (chocolate chip), vanilla and lemon. All were fresh, bright and not too sweet. I highly recommend.

The servers were very nice! I asked how many flavors I could get for a medium sized cone and the said "as many as you want" so that they could customize the rose for me. I ended up getting about six flavors: chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, yogurt, banana, and mango. It was delicious. The consistency is somewhat between gelato and ice cream, so it wasn't too thick, and the ice cream was nicely designed. (very instagrammable!) The price was about 6 euros for this though, but well worth it in my opinion if you're already enjoying yourself in Paris.

There were two ice cream places I wanted to try in France: Amorino and Berthillon. We tried both on the same day, back to back. While Berthillon was very good, I would recommend Amorino if you have to pick one. Two things: their portions are larger and they are less expensive. Plus, their ice cream is awesome. I had the lime & basil (tart, and tastes like a mojito) and coconut, my son had raspberry sorbet and chocolate, and my daughter had pistachio. All good! Ask for the cone rather than the cup and you'll get their signature flower-shaped scoop. Super cool.

Good lord - absolutely delicious. The gelato was delicious and we had a macaroon top which was the best macaroon I think I've ever had. Wow, would definitely recommend.

It's adorable how they shape their gelato to look like a flower!

Literally the best dark chocolate sorbet I have ever tasted! I didn't realize initially that it is dairy free but I imagine that will be a perk for some people. After my trip to Paris, I went to Rome and sampled their gelato, however it couldn't hold a candle to Amorino.

It was head and shoulders our favorite coffee shop in the City of Light, and we lowkey made our rounds. It's a small shop, but filled to the brim with life and passion. I'm normally not a pastry guy, but if I lived anywhere near Motors I would absolutely be a pastry guy. The cinnamon roll was light and delicate, as opposed to the overly sweet and dense ones I'm used to. We also got a vanilla pastry they were testing, and a sugar cookie with milk chocolate drizzled on top. Ugh, take me back, inject these into my veins. I got my goto hot black coffee, and you could taste the freshness of the beans. My girlfriend got a latte that had the most beautiful little flower art on it. How do they even do that? I'm proud of myself, as I knew even when we were sitting in here enjoying our pastries, hot coffees, and each other's company that this was a moment I would look back on and cherish. It's always great knowing it's one of those moments when you're actually in it. You can fully appreciate it. My one regret is that I didn't get the ladies name serving us, as she was so sweet, recommended great pastries, and was just a pleasant human being. They don't make em like sis anymore... I started off with an Expresso Martini which was very good and yes this is how it is spelled here and I like that because that is how I always pronounce it. With our drinks our waiter even brought us out fresh olives. Now I'm not the biggest fan but Ashley very much enjoyed it. There was a lot on the menu that I was interested in and they had a number of different cuts of beef but I had to go with the Whole Duck Breast which is also a French classic which I got cooked medium rare but I'm perfect sure that's how they suggest it which is the right way like they do with all their beef too. Ashley and I also split the French Onion Soup. I will say by Duck was very good. Tasty rich sauce with crispy duck skin cooked perfectly. Some of the best duck I have had in awhile. I will say the French Onion Soup though was a little bland. I just didn't have that rich beef broth I am used too. Beside that everything was very good and would for sure recommend going to Café Blanc for a nice menu which amazing French options.

We spoke to a lady who was American but moved to Paris years ago. She recommended the chocolate hazelnut which changed her life.
