Lovely little shop with small tables to tuck into and an open kitchen layout. The woman running the shop was friendly and very efficient. The food was reasonably priced - the student lunch deal is a great deal to get one crepe off the duo menu and a drink. I got the Cheese and roasted chicken - the roasted chicken was very flavorful and surprisingly delicious. My husband got the The Club Must cheese + home cooked onions + ham of Paris + chive. We ducked into this little spot for a sweet morning treat and some coffee. We all ordered the strawberry crepe with cream. It was not only delicious to the taste but delicious to the eyes as well. As far as a coffee goes, I had an americano (good) and my wife had the coffee with milk (also good). My son raved about the strawberry juice; I guess it was a strawberry kind of morning for him. Went out of my way to go to Culture Crepes after a tour of Notre Dame. I have celiac disease, and this restaurant was highly recommended for its buckwheat crepes. The crepes did not disappoint me (celiac) or my husband, who enjoyed their regular crepes! They have a walk-up window and a small rustic seating area. It's a small place, similar to many places in Paris, but there was a table available. My granddaughter was excited to find they had Nutella crepes with Twix bars included. She does like her chocolate. Many of the crepes have the names of famous people, mine was Catherine Deneuve. It included egg, cheese, ham, tomato, and mushrooms, and it was excellent. While the name doesn't describe the crepe, it is a beautiful gesture for a beautiful woman. The person who took care of us could not have done a better job. Culture Crepes is close to the Seine and near Notre Dame Cathedral. It's a small shop with limited seating and a decent toilet. We had the crepe with Nutella and strawberries as well as the crepe with sugar and cinnamon. Both tasted good. I had a French blonde lager which was good given the warm weather and having walked almost 6 miles and 14k steps. It was nice to have an English menu and staff who could communicate with us tourists. After leaving, we came across another 4 or 5 creperie's so it's stiff competition. Like my other reviews on this trip, the experience was good, not mind blowing so probably won't visit again given the multitude of choices available. read more

But during the time we were trying to figure out what to order, I realized that it's about two euros cheaper if you take it to-go than to sit in and dine, so we took it to go and ate it outside. In mid-December, grey and 45-50 degree weather, it was completely fine to do. I ordered vegetarian savory crepe and my boyfriend got the Nutella + house whipped cream sweet crepe. The vegetarian crepe was PACKED with cheese, peppers, mushroom, egg, tomatoes, lettuce and maybe more. I have not had a crepe this big in Paris or in the States. For about 8 or 9 euros, I was very happy! It was also so delicious - next time I'd probably skip on the lettuce as it was yellowing. Also, be careful of the vegetable juices that may leak from the crepe if you're taking it to go! I got 3 different crepes here and 2 out of the 3 were excellent. The savory one, the James Dean lacked flavor. The lettuce they used was wilted and turning brown in a few tiny spots. We couldn't get past the first bite. The 2 sweet ones were delicious. One was raspberries and white chocolate. The other was strawberries and Nutella. We were taking them home by train and they made it back to the room in perfect condition.
