We saw this place recommended on youtube and decided to try it out! We got the jambon, fromage, œuf galette and la reine, which were 7 € each. They were cooked perfectly crisp and had vegetables on top and tasted incredibly delicious and filling! This type of savory crepe / galette would probably cost $15+ in the US. The employee working was incredibly friendly and gave us tap water and forks/knives for eating in. Best Crepe I've had in Paris. It's on the corner of the shopping district, so it's a perfect snack to eat while walking around. I ordered the Creme de Marron crepe which is a simple crepe with chestnut creme inside. The crepe was slightly crispy on the outside and incredibly fluffy and soft on the inside. The chestnut creme is not too sweet and a treat for anyone who loves chestnut flavor. The crepes are all around roughly €3 - 5 each which is quite affordable and well worth the price. Please remember to bring cash, as their minimum order for cards is €10 (unless you're planning to get 3 or more crepes). There are only about 4 seats and the times I've visited there were no empty seats. This isn't a sit down restaurant, so be prepared to take the crepes to go ! If I could give this place 0 stars I would, but I guess 1 star will have to do. The owner of this shop is a quirky loud man! He charged me 4.50€ for a Nutella banana crêpe, I gave him 20.50€ he gave me 15€ back instead of 16€. I'm not being cheap and I could care less about the 1€ he jipped from me. It's a matter of principle, it's not right for him to cheat his "tourist customers". I don't speak French & I didn't want to get in an argument with him over 1€, after reading some of the negative Yelp reviews and seeing other tourist share similar situations I really wish I didn't waste my time or money here. Walk down La Rue des Rosiers to find a small crowd at the storefront of La Droguerie du Marais, where a man is multitasking by taking orders, having conversations, and making crepes simultaneously. The menu is in French, so use Google translate to understand some of the items. If all else fails, the man making the crepes also speaks some English as well. There are savory and sweet crepes. My favorites were the sweet crepes. These crepes were somewhat fluffy and doughy. I had one with butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Another one I had that also seem popular was the nutella and bananas. The peppermint tea made in-house paired well with the crepes. It was all very reasonably priced. It's too bad that I didn't get the name of the man making the crepes. It's always the same guy here. He is very personable and friendly. He saw a boy trying to record him making crepes, so he invited the kid behind the counter to get a better view and even posed for photos with other customers. Super delicious and affordable crepes here! This place is really popular, as locals and visitors both line up here (long lines too). We did a midnight run here because we were having the munchies. We ordered 3 to share: 1) sugar butter crepe, 2) Nutella banana crepe, 3) ham cheese crepe. Out of the 3 crepes, the ham cheese one was the best & the Nutella banana was the 2nd best. It's hard not to be emotional about my first crepe in Paris. I'm so pleased that it happened to come from this literal hole-in-the-wall, along this little brick street around the corner from where we were staying. This crepery is a bit on the small side, with enough seating inside for about 6-7 people, and note that this place opens at 3PM. While it opens at 3 PM, the line to make crepes forms around 2:45, with plenty of people waiting for their crepe to be made. And with good reason! The person making the crepes is working like a master and makes wonderful delicious crepes in about 2-3 minutes flat. I ended up getting the Oriental crepe with chicken - and let me tell you that first bit with the bit of crusted hardened cheese and crepe... was divine. The crepe was just flat out delicious. Add to that we get a small cup of mint tea to top it off and it made for a delicious meal. Finally, there's only one person working the crepe station so expect to wait a bit if you have a few people in line in front of you. I ordered a chicken crepe and if you're a cheese lover, you're going to love the savory crepes. The cheese melts into the griddle and forms a cheese "skirt" that's similar to ultra thin Parmesan chips. Delicious! There was little to understand between the crepe man and I, but enough to realize one thing, he was a crepe expert and I was here to try this damned famous thing. Un lemon crepe sil vous plait, I murmur, and he nods. Quickly, and swiftly, this gentleman waits for the batter to curdle into a bubbling dough and flips it to create the perfect crispe pancake that is a French crepe. He gently spreads a lemon/butter mixture and folds it twice, and finally slides the plate to me. I'm the only one there, sitting indoors, quietly eating and taking it all in. "You like?" he asks.
