I can't tell you where I've found a more friendly, helpful store!! I've been shopping there since I was a kid when it was Ancona's. They know me - and my family by name. Just like Ancona's. Visiting there gives me such a wonderful, nostalgic feeling that stays all week!! They even keep the old lottery tickets on the wall (along with Tony's "Bookie" info!) I love visiting this place. The owner treats you like a neighbor and friend. His employees are great as well. They carry an expansive offering of beer, wine and liquor. Myself, I'm a craft beer aficionado and Joe always keep me apprised of new/upcoming offerings. If you can't find it there, he can probably point you to where you can get it. First let me say this, I go to Amori's occasionally because they have a good selection. The guys who work there were always friendly and helpful. Today, they went beyond. I called looking for Jamaican Rum Cream. I recently went to Jamaica and didn't bring enough back. I called up Amori's to see if they had any. After spending a few minutes on the phone with them, I struck out. 5 minutes later they called me back and told me of something they had that was a cream liquor with rum. I haven't tried it yet, but thought it was awesome that they did that for me! Awesome customer service! read more

I stopped by this place over a year ago and it has turned into my local stopping spot because of the service alone. Joe and Raf and the rest of staff are really friendly and when there's liquor stores everywhere, that's the number one thing that sets these guys apart from the rest. The next thing is their selection. Great with alcohol for sure but the beer selection is another reason I stop here. I was happy to see these guys highlight a ton of Michigan beer from a variety of breweries and I can always find something new to try. They also stock a good amount of food like milk and coffee creamers which helps if I don't want to go to the grocery store. I also like that this place is clean. It's well lit, they clean their lot, and the cops are always stopping by so it's very safe. They just replaced all the flooring and it looks very nice. Someone commented that they accept deposits and they knew because it smells. I've never noticed any smell but have appreciated that they take bottles back. They make it easy to bring back odd brands and it's an on your honor thing to just to drop them off in the back and have them take the total amount off at the register. They also make up some really cool holiday displays and have in store product demonstrations which is nice also. All in all a great little market and some friendly guys that remember your name and let you know they appreciate your business. read more

Amoris Market is a store to buy your alcohol. There are countless options in the immediate vicinity on where you can buy your alcohol, but I find myself coming back here often. Why? Their staff and selection is amazing. First and foremost, their selection of alcohol is impressive. If they are missing something, you can speak to the staff and they will go out of their way to help you get what you're looking for. They are not shy about recommending things based off your personal tastes, and the recommendations aren't your typical upselling. I've ran across plenty of new drinks that I've fallen for due to their recommendations, all without breaking the bank. These recommendations stem from their friendly staff. And by friendly, I mean that the more they know you, the more likely they are to tease you in a friendly manner. Much like most people's best friends: The ones that can insult you but make you laugh in the same sentence. They allow you to make custom 6 packs from a selection of beers (at a discounted price typically). They support the local community and Law Enforcement. All in all, when it comes to a liquor store, there's not much more you could ask for. read more

I've been looking for certain type of liquor, but nobody carries it after googling where it might be available this was one that they said carried it. I went to the other four places on the list as they were closer to my house, not one offering to try and order it. I walked to Amori's and they were having a hard time as their lottery machine had gone on the fritz, but the man took the time to look up what I was asking for, as he was talking to tech support. Then he got on another phone, called his distributor and ordered the bottle and said he might be able to have it tomorrow. I took his card and called him the next day and he asked me to call him in an hour as his order just came in, called him later and he had it. Just would like to say that you don't seem to get this kind of service anymore. I have six different liquor stores between his and mine but from now on I'll only be going to Amori's!!! read more

no one is ever wearing their masks and they don't try to enforce the rule either despite it being on the door. got a vape from there and it ended up being fake and wouldn't stop hitting for almost a minute straight which is a huge hazard. i also heard that two of the employees just got covid. probably from not wearing masks :) read more

This is my favorite party store around. The employees are very friendly and they have the BEST craft beer selection of any party store in the Madison Heights/Hazel Park area. I mean sure, I could drive to 8 Degrees Plato, Cloverleaf, or Champane's but none are as convenient for me as this place. This place makes me feel like a part of the family. We hosted a party and had them supply the drinks. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. Even carried everything we purchased out to the car! I'm a beer connoisseur, and Joe always tells me about the new craze, or recommends something I haven't tried that they have (which I thought would be few and far between), he always made sure I found what I needed, and broadened my horizons to what I call, the unknown.
