Sunday for a mani pedi and on my mani I got acrylic and asked for a ombré style and even showed the picture of exactly what I wanted several times I left due to haven't to drive to Maryland after and was running late already after waiting 30 mins after my pedi for someone to be available to do my manicure. The ombré doesn't look as smooth as what I know it's supposed to look like it looks like the sponge the lady used to apply it it also doesn't blend as a white tip ombré what so ever. It was literally 7:05 pm last night and I was calling around looking for salons that were still open lol and found Amour Nails! I walked in for a fill and to g my eyebrows waxed and was immediately welcomed. I was looking for a certain OPI color (heart throb) and Van came over to help me look for it. She was my tech and got started right away and did a beautiful job on my nails. Like since I've been home I've literally been putting lotion on my hands and nails so I can really see how gorgeous they are :) The ambiance of the salon is absolutely beautiful and very clean. All the girls are pretty good, but the owner, Susanne, (the one that usually does the waxing) is definitely the best. It's cheaper than most places in the area. DO NOT COME TO THIS NAIL SALON. POOR WORK! Staff was friendly, I'll give them that. That's it. The work they do is horrible. I went in with my mother in law and we both had made appointments, the lady took me in first and my mother in law had to wait 30 minutes to get started. They close at 9:00 PM. We went in for 2 dip powder manicures for our appointments at 6:30 PM and didn't leave until 9:30 PM!!!! Note: 2 different nail techs and they still took 3 hours. I picked my color and the lady that did my nails cut me on three of my fingers and didn't even let me know when to wash my hands off... which I see is a big issue in this nail salon. My nail color was affected because she didn't let me wash my hands, she didn't even file nice. My nails have bumps which makes them look HORRIBLE. I got them done August 18, on August 29th the dip powder completely came off on one nail and it is cracking on two other fingers. It hasn't even been the full two weeks?! My mother in law had to go in the next day because the top coat completely peeled off. They told her she had to come in THE NEXT DAY because the lady that did her nails wasn't in?! I see on the reviews that's ANOTHER thing they like to do. It is so inconvenient. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Trust me when I tell you that these people DO NOT sterilize their instruments. I know this because I have a a toe nail that's literally falling off (I would show you a picture but that would be too gross lol). They are the worst, always so rough to the point where I would bleed by the time they are done. When I complained about them hurting me, they would be like "honey, you have too much dead skin". Well now I have a dead toe nail.... I always saw them pull out instruments from the same place they had worked on someone else before me, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought it was a new pack. NO! That was my bad for assuming. Always ask and make sure they actually show you a new pack if you are going to give them a try. This place is great! The staff is fast but really good. The lady that did my mani and pedicure also did my mother's a few days later. She was so pleasant with an awesome energy that made me very comfortable. My mom felt the same way. I didn't give it a 5 because I think the person, who I think is an owner, who assigns a person to the customers is not very friendly. No one explains to you that based on the type of polish you select the price may change until after you have selected the color and is sitting in the chair with your feet in the water. I wanted other services but I was not comfortable asking the lady at the front desk as she was not personable. It could be because they were busy though. read more

Where do I start??? My coworker recommended this place for a pedicure. So I wanted to soak off the set off my nails, get an acrylic overlay and a pedicure. Why did I pay $105 for the basics?! The woman burned me a few times while filing my nails. When I went to go pay, nothing added up correctly. And would not explain to me what I was paying off and what not. Can't even bring myself to give this place one star, DOESN'T DESERVE THAT! Goodness, where do I begin? Let's see, I went here for a fill on my gel nails. It was a Friday afternoon, about 145pm. I asked for a French tip. Found out that I was charged $3 for a crappy cut down. I was 100% unhappy. She didn't charge me for the French because she wasn't happy with her work either. I paid $28 for a gel refill and cut down. She asked me to stay so she could fix it but at that point it was 325pm and I had to leave to pickup my child. She asked if I'd come back Saturday or Sunday, so I made an appt. with her for Sunday at 1130am. I arrived Sunday about 1120am and she'd just started someone. She approached me and asked what I needed. I said I was here Friday and made an appt. at that time for 1130 today to have you fix what you did Friday. She had forgotten...even though she wrote the info in the appt book... At 1145pm she came over and said she'd be about another 10 minutes. Well, she finally took me at at 1210pm! Apologized and said the other people had been late. Okay, I understand...Let's get this fixed now. Had her cut them down more since I'd already paid $3 and since she tried to get over with that, she needed to cut them down more. She had told me to pick a darker color, I did and that didn't work to cover up what needed to. So we had to take that color off and try again. I asked her to please be sure to cover the edges, which should be done anyhow...I shouldn't have to ask! She put the white on, then the gel and it was TERRIBLE! Bubbles, indentions...all kinds of crap! I wasn't happy and wasn't leaving. She tried again... SAME THING! I asked her to just leave them with the polish off and refund me money. She said she couldn't but would make sure I was happy before I left. Well...She went on to redo them about 10-12 times. I actually left once and thought they were good...got to the car and sunlight and realized they were STILL AWFUL! Walked back in and she said what happened? I said nothing happened, these suck! She had a client there and handed her off to another employee. She kept insinuating that I somehow was getting the bubbles and waves in the nails. Claimed she couldn't see what was wrong. I'm not crazy I told her. I arrived there for my 1130am appt @ 1120am and was not walking out of that shoddy establishment until 315pm! YES! Oh and when she remembered that she didn't charge me for French already, she said she'd have to charge me an additional $5 for that. Otherwise she's going to paint the entire nail which I hate! Come to find out, this lady is the owner. Her name is Suzanne. It was the worst customer service I've EVER seen! I have her to membership card back and told her I'd NEVER be back again! Funny how they proceeded to talk in their native language...all the while knowing it was about me...lol! Oh BTW, they don't accept the Yelp mobile coupon...You have to print that out...So I think she was lying...I thought that was their offer? Anyhow... I'm sure there's people that will read this and think man this lady is a bitch, but you pay too much money to be treated terribly and I'm certainly not paying someone to do a half-assed job! read more

I use to go here to get my eyebrows done but I stop going because of how I was treated. I think this particular establishment caters to white people and do not value me as a customers (I made this observation over a course of time). I found another establishment to do my eyebrows. In fact, I have moved on to threading and no longer use waxing, which isn't sanitary in those nail shops because they are to use a new stick every time they dip in the wax so beware if your technician isn't doing that. read more

Very nice salon in appearance and clean but very expensive. I was told $48 on the phone then at register it was $64!!! Three dollars for this three dollars for that that's where they get you! I have been getting my nails done for 25 years and now all of a sudden there's two different types of powder one is $10 more which they should ask you when your doing your nails! I mean seriously how much extra labor is it to shorten your nails especially when they do it with the drill like most do what they want to charge you three dollars extra for that anyway I will never go back I will say that my technician Lynn was excellent but $75 every two weeks for nails is not worth it I will travel to my old nail salon read more

This place might do a job if only there aren't lot of customers. Always busy with customers and not enough employees. Employer obviously want to take in all the customers and have them wait on the chair and then rush everything. My pedicure and manicure was rushed and didn't end up looking good. Got my eyebrows done here since 2010 by the owner. She does a great job at it. All of her employees are very friendly and sociable once you get to know them. I would definitely recommend everyone should come and get there eye brows done, maybe a bit pricey but she does an excellent job at it. The environment is very nice. Angel is the best nail technician I've gone to. She's so sweet, and the first time she did my nails she asked me a lot of questions to figure out my personal needs for a manicure. Because of where I work, I use my hands a lot and the sanitizer we use really dries out my hands and nails. Angel always puts in extra work to seal up the edges of my nails so that water won't get in at all. My nails never lift when Angel does them. read more

I originally gave them 5 stars but 4 days later my nails started lifting which many of you May know can cause fungus underneath the acrylic nail....so I went in for a repair and after waiting 30 minutes, saw the same woman. Well long story short, my nails were worse when I left than when I walked in. Tips were uneven and somehow yellow even though they're originally French tip. Anyways, she didn't even see me out. She had her coworker check me out and was already gone when I got to the register without even thanking me for coming to see her again. I let the woman who took my payment know that I would never be back again and she apologized for her coworker and offered to fix but I declined. It wasn't her mistake to fix and I just wanted to leave because I was so irritated. I will be making an appt with a different nail salon to get these nails removed tomorrow. I went here on my birthday for the first-time as a walk-in for a pedicure & SNS french manicure. The reviews on Google looked good, and they were one of very few shops who did SNS. I came in right when they opened so I had no wait time; however, service took about 2.5 hours. They started with a pedicure which was all that you would expect. Unfortunately, the polish on my toes somehow got ruined shortly after leaving the nail salon (about 2.5 later). Not sure why the polish on my toes was still susceptible to damage after all that time. As for my french SNS - HORRIBLE. I could tell the technician who was doing my SNS had not done it much before. The lines of my french manicure were horrendous and the SNS pink on my nail was not evenly coated. When she was finished, I express my distaste in the final product and they offered me to come back to get it fixed. Never going back there again. read more

During my service I felt as though things were a little bit "rushed" since it was a busy day for the salon. Services are a little pricey. If you're going here for a wax, be ready for a lot of pain and emptying your wallet. I went here on a whim to get my legs waxed and underarms. They were busy when I went but it doesn't mean you should get a rushed service. The woman who was taking care of me rushed through the entire process. In between the procedure, she kept leaving the room to go answer phone calls. When she was doing my underarms and she couldn't get everything off, she used tweezers for the rest. Instead of pulling the root of the hair, she pinched my skin multiple times. Man oh man did that hurt! To top it off, they charged me $50 for full legs and $25 for underarms. She didn't do anything with my cuticles at all, my nails were lumpy, parts around the sides weren't painted, and there was polish everywhere. The lady who fixed my nails rushed through them, stopped what she was doing in the middle of my session to paint another girls toenails, then proceeded to come back and paint mine. I came in and everyone just looked up at me like I was an alien and said nothing. I stood there for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, which is ridiculous. Don't have a sign that says "walk-ins welcomed" and not even acknowledge them. It seems like they only care about their clients and not interested in establishing new client relationships.
