Amateur hour. The spa claimed I had an appointment for a very expensive facial that I did not book. It was months in the past when I went in today for an appointment that I booked online and that they canceled JUST before I came in. They told me to that to keep my appointment or to book any future spa appointments, I had to pay over $220 for the missed appointment (the one never even made). You heard right - - not a $50 no-show fee, not 25% for a no-show. They wanted the entire amount upfront before I could have my next appointment. It was absolutely outrageous. The one facial I had was decent (I went in for foot reflexology today), but the aesthetician was pushy about me making future appointments. I would avoid and head down to DC where the spas are more professional and customer-centric. I've been to spas all over the world and am a very chill customer, and I've never been treated like that. I had my first visit yesterday for the Revival package, which included a hydroluxe massage and osmosis facial. My masseuse Elle did a wonderful job; it felt like the waves of the ocean were gently but firmly massaging me! Her motions felt very skilled. I also appreciated that she asked about what kind of pressure I preferred before we started. I highly recommend her. Chau did my facial and again, a wonderful experience. I was surprised (but shouldn't have been, given her years of experience) that immediately she could tell that my skin used to be oily and that I was not a stranger to retinol. She did a deep exfoliating treatment on me and extracted an extremely stubborn and deep blackhead in my cheek that I'd had for months. I am a skincare nerd and even though I use exfoliating products regularly, she said that this treatment was more effective than over the counter or store-bought products. I believe her! My skin not only felt hydrated and glowy the rest of the day, but honestly felt so clean, soft, and kind of... lighter? Because it had been purged of all the heavy dirt and dead skin, I guess! Needless to say I've already booked my next maintenance appointment in three months. read more

She was knowledgeable and let me know how to care for my skin. It was a good conversation asking me about what products I use and what my routine while examining my face so she can provide the facial that works for my skin. 10/10 recommend the Retreat and especially Sabrina Menefee for massages! My husband and I both have gone here several times and have always asked for Sabrina. We love her so much because she truly meets you where you are at and can do it all. My husband prefers very intense pressure, Deep Tissue massages while I like a gentle Swedish and she can do both! She is also the first therapist I've had who can work out knots without it being crazy painful. The Retreat is warm, welcoming and relaxing. And you're the only 2 in the whole space, so from a covid safety perspective, I felt relaxed and unworried. My massage was maybe the best I've ever had. This was probably one of the best massages and facials I have had in a very long time. Unlike many therapists and aestheticians, Cory took the time to listen to my past and present concerns, and future desires. Wow! Simply incredible! Felt like time stood still and I had an out of body experience Cory was terrific, explained everything and offered different options based on skin type and preferences. Cory is by far one of the most talented and knowledgable clinicians I have had the pleasure of working with. I have had a two level spinal fusion due to spondylolisthesis, complicated by scoliosis and a recently diagnosed sacral stress fracture. My quality of life has been zero to none. Cory has been able to assist me in getting relief from the constant muscle spasms occurring as I go through the medical process of MRI's, Cat Scans and diagnosis to determine next steps.
