I used Dave to mount a 65" TV along with installing Sonos sound bar and sub. It took longer than expected to get the equipment due to COVID-19. Dave came out installed and gave us a quick tutorial on how to use it. About 6 months later, the Sonos wasn't configured anymore and would not work. I've been using Amped Sound & Cinema for a variety of audio/visual needs for about 5 years. It's a terrific company! Dave, the owner, has done extensive work within our home and I have always been highly satisfied with the outcome. He takes pride in his work and definitely stands behind it. On several occasions I've called him afterwards when some component stops working. He always promptly returns my call. He can usually walk me through the fix over the phone. If that doesn't work he'll stop by the house to fix it himself and almost never charges me for the visit. As I said, he stands behind his work. Besides being a really nice guy, Dave is also a technical genius. He listens to what I'd like to achieve, provides sage advice on how to do it and what equipment will work best. He's also adept at redirecting me when I have an idea that simply won't work or can be done in a different and more cost effective way. Had Dave and the guys at Amped come do some work at our house recently. I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge that Dave has. He just has a solid understanding of what will work and what won't, and will strive to make your ideas happen on budget. We used Amped for our living room setup, and it works easily and hassle-free (all of our family and guests have been able to use our system without us there). We have a pretty high-end setup and it was no problem for Dave to work with. I will not hesitate to use this company for the rest of our house, including multiroom/multisource audio, and our outdoor setup - they already ran cable and set up our outdoor TV with appleTV and it is pretty sweet. Second wonderful experience with Dave from Amped Sound & Cinema. First time was when we moved here four years ago. He installed three TV's, a four zone Sonos system, and RF input receivers paired with an excellent universal remote which allowed us to house all the equipment in a data cabinet in our master closet so my wife didn't have to see cords and cables (which she isn't fond of.) We found Dave to be a wonderful communicator, a meticulous worker and very fair in his pricing. He took the time to correct "messes" with wiring left by previous contractors and his installs looked like they belonged on the Space Shuttle. Last month, we contacted Dave again as we had decided to "cut the cord" (ground the satellite I guess in our case); but were overwhelmed by the choices in both providers and hardware. He came to our home and spent an hour consulting with us on best approaches and planning how to most effectively use our existing equipment....all at no charge. Dave wrote a detailed and complete estimate so there were no surprises. Last week, he executed our conversion to streaming perfectly (via Apple TV coupled with an external over the air antenna routed to each set). He programmed our universal remote and set up our streaming services so everything was ready. He was very patient with questions and made sure we understood everything before he left. Dave is an expert on the rapidly moving options in home entertainment. He really listens to his customers, then recommends the best solution. We just recently used Amped Sound & Cinema for the second time to upgrade the electronics in our home. We wanted some in-wall speakers for the best surround sound experience, and then needed to upgrade some old equipment. The first time Dave came out, he set up our outdoor patio area with TV and speakers to work with the inside dual channel receiver, as well as some other items that we didn't even know we wanted, but love now! Dave will come out and look at what you have, what you want to do, and then offer suggestions for the direction you might want to go, based on your budget. We have been using Amped since I first discovered Dave in 2010. I used him for smaller projects in 2010 and again in 2014, and had such a good experience we used him to design and install all of our audio, video, security cameras, home network, even the doorbells on our new custom home. In 2014 when we moved into our new home we had Amped Sound install a surround sound system which included buying a new tv and receiver through them as well as a Universal Remote brand remote control for the system. The equipment was installed in a closet and all the wiring was fed through the walls into that closet from the tv and all the speakers. All that went well and that initial installation would garner a 5 star rating. But......we have decided to eliminate Direct TV and use Roku for our 4 TVs so the remote we got from Amped would no longer be functional without being reprogrammed. The problem there is that there is no manual for consumers, only for vendors. Because of that I purchased a Harmony Elite remote and after extensive research I was still unable to get the equipment synced. I contacted Amped through their website stating in detail why I would like their help and was looking forward to hearing back from them within the 48 hour time frame stated on their site. No response. I then called their number, got a pleasant message from Dave to leave a message so I did. Two days later, still no response. I called again leaving another message that I was up against a deadline to return my Harmony remote if that was necessary and that I would appreciate a rapid return call just to find out whether or not they would be able to help. Three days later, still no response. I understand that COVID has put a cloud on many businesses but surely a simple response to my query could have occurred. If not, that pleasant voice message on the phone could be changed to state a problem and that they were incapable in handling any issues at this time. Even though I was happy with their initial work, if any company isn't thoughtful enough to respond to simple requests, especially to a previous customer, they don't deserve any more that a one star rating. read more

Oh my gosh, I am so glad that one of my neighbors recommended Dave of Amped Sound and Cinema. He is fantastic! He got our slightly dated up and running with some wonderful improvements. Very professional, courteous and patient. He is on our list of providers and we are grateful to have him. Trying to find an individual to fix tv's is so difficult these days. Dave put in an audio video system for my home several years ago. It has been terrific, Dave was professional and so easy to work with. But the really remarkable thing about this company is the after sale service. Two days before Thanksgiving the video went out, I had absolute certainty that my call would be returned (the same day) and that Dave would make my system perfect again (the very next day) in time for Thanksgiving football.
