We did not even know they were planning to start until coming home to equipment in our driveway. Then, equipment broke down on first day of actual work, rendering our drive blocked for 2 days. This after no-showing the initial start date. The project manager was MIA for over a week without any communication, just unreachable. They eliminated part of the job without discussion, which was the right decision but did not reduce price and was not even a conversation. The project manager offered free sealing to accommodate for the inconveniences and lack of communication. Once the job was complete, he insisted they could only be paid cash/Venmo, despite having my paid-in-full check in hand. He stated his bank was unable to process a deposit due to another large deposit from a separate job. It made no sense, but I wanted to be kind. After being paid in full via Venmo, he requested I recall the payment to avoid fees. After several weeks of back and forth, awaiting my refund from Venmo, I paid him cash. He assured me the company would be in touch to schedule promised sealing. There was no call. I reached out, attempting to schedule the sealing. They completely ghosted me, only responding when threats of contacting BBB were made. They never sealed the drive. The process began well (seemed trustworthy), but ended with a feeling of having been ripped off and repeatedly lied to.

The wall was done quickly and the quality is good per our building inspector, though he did say there were a few things he would've done differently. It is warrantied for 5 years. Shortly after the wall was finished, I provided the final payment with the understanding the job would be finished the following day. Two months later, after rescheduling 5 times for​ many reasons, the driveway patch was done yesterday. They resealed the driveway for free for our inconvenience. I paid $9500 for all work done. This contractor is absolutely unreliable!…read more Hentnick did some repointing on a neighbor's house. Based upon the quality of his work I called Hentnick for an estimate to repoint my own house. I spoke with a very pleasant woman who assured me Hentnick would "stop by" the following day to review what was desired. Hentnick showed up four days later and left an estimate tucked in our front door. I called Hentnick the following day and accepted the estimate as perhaps a bit low. I was given a start date two months hence. When Hentnick did not show up on the start date I called to get an update on a new date. There was no answer and I left a message. Over the following two weeks I called six times; all to an unanswered phone. I left six messages requesting a call back but received no response. On the seventh call Hentnick, himself, answered and told me he would be starting two weeks hence. He did not show up on the second start date either and didn't call. After more than a dozen calls over the next few weeks I gave up and secured an alternative contractor. Interestingly enough, another neighbor just recently had the same experience with Hentnick of promises made but not kept and phone calls unanswered.

Then they didn't show up the next day when they were supposed to.They also never called to let me know why, I had to call them. When I called to find out why, I was told that it was too much work for the amount of money they were going to charge me and they wanted no part of it. He reduced it to $100 when I got emotional. He also told me he would have his men cut "V's" into my tree belt to avert any pooling of water on the sidewalks. Didn't happen. I asked him to clean up some piles of dirt and stones that they had kicked up but that didn't happen either. He does the job, and the driveway and walkway look good.
