Best bank (CREDIT UNION) ever! I finally realized after 30+ years with the big(est) bank that I have had enough of fees, mistakes and being treated like I don't matter. This place is too cool. Fast, efficient, no fees. Did I mention, no fees. And the interest rate on one of my accounts is higher than the 'special treatment' I am getting a yet another big bank for having lots o money with them. The employees are genuinely concerned about my financial well being. This was shown to me today through how they expedited my new business account opening. read more

AMPLIFY Credit Union with branch manage Bill Ownbey and his awesome team are over the top fantastic. Bill urged me to sign up for their Amplify VISA Rewards card, saying if i make just one spend, I would get at least $100. I spend about $58 and received $175 which was directly deposited into my checking account. What a super deal ! This is the place for you to do your financial business. Friendly helpful staff and officers. Bill Ownbey is by far the most resourceful and helpful manager. I am okay they are not open during COVID-19. The lobby is closed. However, I went by today to withdraw some cash and the ATM will only allow you to view balance and something else. I really have when my time is wasted. I went there because it is closest to me. I did this after talking on the phone with a representative about trying to access my account and deposit money. Bill Ownbey & Nate King exceeded my expectations of a "bank" THEY genuinely care!! I was in the process of changing banks and had to switch accounts and get cash ASAP to pay my employees. I guess the corporate fat cats at Amplify never figured their long time members would notice them change. Sure they're a "credit union" but they operate like your typical corporate bank these days. For context I opened my accounts in 2008. I stopped recommending Amplify to people a couple years ago. I'd say that's when this bank started to deteriorate and seems to be inline with reviews I've read from other long time members as well. Coincidence? Unlikely. At this point I've been driven to other financial institutes because this particular organization has violated my trust too many times and has made it quite clear that I am just a number. Regardless of the fact that I have ALWAYS had direct deposit, they nickle and dime me every chance they get. If you're going to be treated like a number, then you may as well use a better bank with more benefits. Credit unions aren't the only places that offer free accounts anymore and Cap1 offers a higher interest rate on their free checking/savings than Amplify. read more

unfortunately, amplify hates you as a customer. if you have a problem that they could easily help you fix it your credit,they are going to choose your money over you. they aren't there to help you, they are there to exploit you. they could make a simple fix, but they won't, because "reasons." I had a problem with the autopay and it caused a few hiccups and I had some payments that were barely past a month. i asked them if they could do me the courtesy of taking them off, nope. because f you customer, your money is all that matter and we're not here to help you... if you use amplify, just know that these greedy effers aren't going to make the slightest effort to help, unless that means helping drown you, then theyll be glad to hold your head underwater. go to any other bank. I went in to take out a loan at amplify Bank a while back. Alone did not show up on my credit and did not send me a statement or anyway to pay the loan. When I called and I found out the lady that waited on me never even submitted the loan application. They finally did. Now I just called them about credit card offers and was lied to and manipulated by one of the employees. Avoid this place. So, the saga continues. They made good on fixing this for me. I started banking here when it was the IBM federal credit union over 22yrs ago. I have worked with many of the employees over the years and have always been treated with respect however the staff at the Cedar Park 183 Toll branch are truly amazing. I have had nothing but fantastic customer service starting with the Branch Manager Bill, then account services with Josh, financial advisor Jennifer and of course the fabulous ladies that help at teller services. Unless you have a crazy request they all will do whatever they can to get it done for you. After banking with them for years, I would say there lending department is pretty awful. I did get loans, but they were never on time, communication was horrible, and too much red tape. And now they did away with free business Acct's for Small business. In addition they nickel and dime on every little thing. read more

I've had a few interactions with the manager at this location and I whole heartedly believe she sort of likes giving people a hard time and demonstrating an omnipotent sense of power over other people's money. I have been with Amplify since 1998, great service, very happy with the bank. If you get direct deposit they give you free ATMs.

When you call the 1-800 number you definitely do not receive any personal touches. The people you speak to are very disingenuine and don't seem to really care to go the extra step to provide you the information you need. I was speaking to the first rep. I got and was told to hold on and then a few minutes later someone else answered. I considered moving my banking here but definitely won't be doing that. read more

let me just I LOVE LOVE LOVE my bank! The Round Rock and Pond Spring Rd locations ROCK!!! Super nice and very helpful. BUT the Cedar Park SUCK! You would think its a totally different bank. People are rude and not helpful! Went today to ask about my check card and before I even finish my sentence she said she couldn't help me! After I asked if I could finish she said "Oh, yes I can check that for you." I go out of my way to not have to use this branch. Love my bank BUT the Cedar Park location SUCKS!!! read more

The Amplify in Cedar Park is not very personal. They don't greet you when you walk in the door. We took our account elsewhere and they could have cared less, even though it was a very sizable account. read more

I stay so frustrated with Amplify! We've had two auto loans through them and both times they have been SO unorganized! We are constantly having to go back up to the branch to take more paperwork because they either lost the first copies they made, or because they didn't tell us we needed it to begin with. We have checking accounts with them too and those have been fine. My advice is to steer clear of the loan department! read more

I'm a bartender in Cedar Park and I don't have the most conventional of hours and always find it difficult getting to the Credit union before closing time. I went in today to deposit some cash into my account. While the girl was processing my deposit there was a guy working behind her who overheard that I can never seem to make it before closing time. He came over and told me about the night depository and how it worked. That was so convenient and I am so glad that he was listening to see how he could help me out. Within 6 months Amplify have sent me letters saying my debit card has been compromised and sent me replacement cards. Nice that the company has replaced my cards but twice? This company might be local but they don't seem very secure with their accounting. I use to have an account at a large bank for years, never had a security issue with my debit card till I went to Amplify. The extra 2 dollars in interest on my savings account isn't worth the peace of mind of security. I closed my account after a year. read more
