On 4/17/2026, $2980.00 was stolen from my RBFCU account. Even though RBFCU says they provide NCUA insurance, they have denied reimbursement. They have said the facts show I clicked "ALLOW" to approve the transaction on a text they sent me. This is NOT TRUE. I never even saw the texts as I was in deep conversation with "their fraud dept representative". They want me to believe someone could have called me from their number but they won't believe that the same someone could have hacked and taken over my phone! My facts are that I received a text from RBFCU followed by a call from their phone # 210-945-3300 (the same # they alway and continuously call me from). Their rep proceeded to guide me to make transactions geared toward stopping and preventing the continued fraud being attempted on my account. When I immediately tried to call RBFCU fraud dept to verify I was talking to them, my hold time was 58 min/58 sec. They finally called me back 1 1/2 hours later from the same # 210-945-3300 they have always and continue to call me from. These facts lead me to believe it was RBFCU who stole my money! This bank in which I've been a member for 14 years has accused me of being complicit in a crime. I have all my money with these people. I have had car loans, home equity loans, cds, money market accounts, checking and saving accounts. I have excellent credit including a well above average credit score. But they are insinuations that I am a thief. They used to be an excellent company but no more. Please stay far away if you want your money to be safe! read more

Terrible experience. Applied for a HELOC and asked what the interest rate was and they said 7%, what the amortization schedule was and a delineation of closing costs. Loan Officer gave a total of costs but then the processor said there were zero costs and no one would broach the amortization schedule question. I called the manager and he finally gave me a break down of costs , FINALLY. He said that they just make you pay $14 for every thousand drawn out. I used a loan calculator site and that effectively is 17% interest amortized over 25 yrs ... or 7% interest but 7.5 yr amortization schedule. They are screwy all the way around. If they're screwy for helots , they're probably screwy for ANY loans or savings accounts ..... anything. Steer clear of them. Go ANYWHERE else ! read more

I've been with RBFCU for nearly 8 years. I have nothing bad to say. They have decent hours, plenty of locations, always friendly, and they handle all of my banking needs. I typically visit the Cedar Park location. Easy to get to with enough parking. Did you know they have a loose change machine? Yeah! No fee for members. So when you want to cash in that big jar of coins, RBFCU has your back. The offer notary services and the other things you usually find at a bank. I've tried a lot of banks and credit unions and so far they are the best. read more

Love using RBFCU. The only problem is here recently they changed their online payment system using a third-party vendor that requires your username and password to your bank account. That will never happen! So now I have to drive in to make a payment which is a pain in the butt and I removed their five star rating down to four. read more

I've banked with RBFCU for a while and easily this is the slowest and rudest branch. I'm not sure what's the matter here but after only a couple experiences, I'm avoiding it. This specific location is clean sure but the company itself is basically a bunch of scam artists. They lie and manipulate what they're saying so that people can get the loans through them but when the time comes to actually handle situations that they put their clients in, they do not give a flying fuck. Do not waste your time money or energy with this horrible credit Union. They do not care about their people and I will do everything in my power to pay off my loan as fast as possible so they do not get anymore money from me than necessary. read more

Had one of the best experiences at RBFCU all due to Mrs. Jessica!!!! We walked in and she greeted us with a huge smile and made our visit sweet and short !! Mrs. Jessica helped us order another debit card as it seemed mine had been lost in the mail due to a change of address. She also helped us set up the RBFCU mobile app, Apple Pay, and even put us down for travel notification on both of our accounts since we were leaving on our vacation. Thanks Jessica !! Had 3 fraudulent charges & didnt see it for about a week. Once I found i contacted RBFCU and they opened a claim. It equaled about $230. A month later they claim they reviewed & are not finding the claim in a positive way. Instead reversing the refund & im losing the money a 2nd time by my very own bank. Ive banked with RBFCU for about a yr and half. In that little of time I've had 5 different debit cards due ongoing fraudulent charges and had to completely closed one account to open a new one due to fraudulent actions. In the next few days, im again getting another debit card & new cking account. I was a customer with another bank for 15yrs and never had a issue with fraudulent charges. I wish now i never changed. But like i said ive had 5 debit card, & 1 account closed due to the services i get from RBFCU. Also most the time the customer service employees are kind, caring & helful. They will never interact with you in a respectful manner. That is why I do banking elsewhere. But I had a credit card with this group. They will continue to bill you for months after you closed your account, after you paid made up/fictional charges. After months of paying them by my other banks bill pay, they just stopped accepting it. I called them many times and they simply would not address the problem. So, I paid them by check. I paid the late fees that I was not responsible for. I paid fees that were unexplained. I went to the branch to be sure the account was closed. Unresponsive. Nothing Nothing Nothing. Still bills me for unexplained charges, on an account that has been closed for months, and paid in full for months, and charges they made up even, also paid. And still more bills. DO NOT BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE. The Texas Attorney General has a Consumer Complaints Division. Small Claims Court costs only $120.00. read more

Account setup was both easy and pleasant with a little help from John. Deposits are easy, just hand the teller your driver's license. I called +1 (800) 580-3300 (but opened my account at this location and everyone I dealt with there was also great) today with numerous different questions about my credit card and a few about my auto loan. I spoke with two people and I forgot the first guys name but he was amazing and whoever he consulted with when he put me on hold was amazing and then he transferred me over to lending and I spoke with Angela and she was great. I asked them all probably about 1000 questions in the duration of 23 minutes and they were all fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. I love this credit union! I have a great auto loan and a great credit card and I just wanted to give a good review but I don't know what location they were at so If you wanted call me please do so I can give them both proper recognition! read more

Stay far away! I've been banking with RBFCU for many years and they have been shady on many occasions but I just let it go. This time, I've had it. About two years ago I accidentally paid a credit card online and unfortunately forgot and scheduled it twice resulting in an overdraft of $24.00. I called and they suggested enrolling in overdraft protection since I have money in my savings most of the time. This would prevent any issues in the future. So I enrolled as they suggested. Since then I've had multiple issues and no one wants to correct any of the issues. I speak with someone and they tell me one thing and every person after that tells me something entirely different. That brings me to today. I checked my account because I needed to find the exact date I went to a Doctors appointment so I was looking at my copays. I login and it shows my account is almost $600 in the negative. As I look I see that I've been charged EIGHT $24.00 courtesy pay fees. This started a cycle of multiple charges putting my account further in the hole. The reason for my frustration is due to the fact that I had over $2800.00 in my savings. Between me and my 18 and 22yo children we have 3 checking and 3 saving accounts. I also currently have a loan with them and have had several in the past, all paid off way early. I call them and I'm told that the six transfers allowed per month had already been exceeded so they weren't able to transfer the money over to cover the charges. They explained this is federal regulation and I understand that. However, they continue to explain to me that if I were to be paying a loan or payment to them they would be able to deduct out of the savings to cover it. Imagine that, they will make sure they get their money. I explained to them that this information was not given to me when it was recommended that I enroll in overdraft protection. I ask if they will reverse fees and they tell me no. I asked to speak with Peggy, a supervisor and she still says that they can't reverse them "because they did what they were supposed to and paid the transactions." Yep, they did but I had money to cover it and even offered to come in and transfer funds immediately to rectify it. They were hell bent on not working with me. I am going to be headed to RBFCU tomorrow to close all the accounts with the exception of the one required for my loan. I've had it! They've screwed up repeatedly and don't want to correct it so they will now lose a customer of many years and lose three customers all at once. Bye bye RBFCU. read more

Randall Brooks? More like Randall Crooks. If you bank with these people, be very very aware. Firstly, I had a car loan with them. Sure, the interest rate was good but I later found out that other banks had better rates. No big deal though but I later wish I had banked with another credit union. Every time I would call, their staff would give me conflicting information on my auto loan. It was very frustrating but what really angered me was when I tried to withdraw money from my account and unbeknownst to me, the bank has a policy where you have to keep one dollar in the account. Something that was not very clear to me at any point during the two years I banked with them. Apparently, attempting a transfer to another bank while leaving a penny in the account triggers a $24 fee and a rejected transfer. Once I called, they said that there were two sections in the online banking that show the current balance and the available balance. However, the "available balance" portion is right next to a banner advertisement and it's in grey color so it's extremely easy to miss. I tried to call and email their customer service people and they were the most stubborn people I have ever talked to. It made me feel that this was a common thing that they experienced, lots of customers who fall for this and maybe that's why the fee is so high. Seriuosly? $24 for violating this simple rule and you are rigid? I asked to speak with supervisors, nope, they're even more stubborn. Even Bank of America, a bank that is hated by many, a bank that people tell you to leave and flock to a Credit Union has always, always refunded me their fees when there is any trace of ambiguity with the rules. Had a great experience here. Went in to open a savings account for my 17 year old, last Saturday, the girls at the front that greeted us were very friendly. They put us in a room & we did a video call with a gentlemen to set it up. I wish I could remember his name but he was quick, informative & did exactly what we needed. Once we were done with that part, we went to the teller to make a deposit & she was very nice. We were in & out in about 30-35 minutes. read more

I came here to open a checking account on a Friday afternoon. It was about 4pm, so I expected this place to be busy. I walked in and was greeted by a young lady who seemed genuinely happy to help. She got me all setup in the office where they conveniently setup accounts virtually via a call center. It was an easy process and the CS agent who setup everything was very clear and thorough about the process. Once I was setup with my account I went to make a deposit and there was a line that moved as quickly as it could for a Friday. The teller was also genuinely happy to help and quick to get me on my way. I've worked in various customer service positions for over 10 years and it's hard to stay positive dealing with demanding people these days. At this bank, the workers are genuinely happy to be here and I can see they enjoy their job. It's been a long time since I have been to a store, office, or any facility for services and received wonderful service and left feeling happy to come back again.
