They really need to update their hours. They are NOT open 24/7, and they regularly turn people away in the early morning hours. I've stopped by late at night, exhausted and dealing with symptoms from a chronic illness, just to buy ice (paying for ice is really something, isn't it?) because I'm anemic. I've even been barked at to "hurry up" because they needed to randomly lock down the store. (Don't say you're open 24/7 then) If you've ever dealt with anemia and PICA, you know the craving for ice is visceral, it's not just a habit, it's physically consuming. It takes me less than five minutes to get in and out, and that's being generous. But half the time they just lock their doors at random, so I end up wasting gas driving there only to find I can't get air for my tires, cant pay for gas with cash, and can't pay for ice (paying for ice is such a silly thing to say), because they're simply not open despite claiming to be. I won't blame this one business alone for the capitalistic dehumanizing greed that turns basic human needs like water into something you have to pay for, but it's still disgusting how normalized that behavior has become. The worst gas station I have ever been to they lie about their hours!!! The night shift guy is an asshole and closes every single night from 1-3am and sometimes before 1 am and stays closed after 3am it's insane idk how he can get away with this! He literally will just sit inside with the doors locked or stand outside and smoke cigarettes while he turns all customers away saying he's closed and will open at 3am. I swear they hire the biggest assholes for the night shift here. This has been my third time in a couple of weeks that I try to go in for a couple of things and what do ya know? Closed! Every. Single. Time. The guy is always just hanging out outside smoking or with a thumb up his ass not doing jack. I was super excited about a gas station opening so close to home. There have been quite a few negative people that weren't too happy with it being an AM/PM. I have a BMW 5 series & I use to only pump chevron when I first bought it brand new because it was the best for your car. Lol well from what I was told. But I got over that because I started pumping for what was convenient in the area and started pumping ARCO. ARCO gas is no different than other brands. In fact, suppliers share pipelines, so they all use the same fuel. The difference between the more expensive brand-name gas and ARCO is usually no more than a quart of additive per 8,000 gallons of gas. And the biggest difference with ARCO is that they don't accept credit cards. I'm not an expert but 6 years later my car is running fine so no complaints here. Love how the inside is fully stocked with snacks & drinks minus liquor because they are still pending to obtain their liquor license. I hope they maintain the cleanliness because it'll keep the customers coming. :) Location, cleanliness, great customer service, convenient, affordable, what else can I ask for? So today I didn't plan ahead and I had to get gas here. I put twenty bucks in the cash machine in the middle of the gas pumps. It took the twenty but nothing happened. I go inside and tell the prick guy I mentioned before in my previous review about it (he has a HUGE mole on his face just in case you ever want to know who I am talking about). He goes out with a pair of tweezers to see if maybe the twenty is stuck. It isn't ... it went in there and nothing happened. Then he tells me I have to pull out my pockets and open up my wallet to prove I don't have another twenty in there because people "lie about this sort of thing all the time". I tell him, um, I can't hide a dime in these tight pants and I open my wallet ... my last lone dollar bills are left. He tells me he will put twenty on the tank but that if there is a next time he will have to report me ... TO FKN WHO? The cops.... oh guess what buddy, my Dad is a cop you dip sh*t. Anyway, while I am pumping the gas he comes out with keys and proceeds to tell me that I "FORCED" the twenty in and that the machine was full of bills and that's why it didn't process. So, I was right, I didn't lie ... and I am not trying to steal gas ...? He says yes. So I said ... "Is there a sorry in there?". And he just gives me this stare. Trust me, I hate this kid with a passion. If anyone doesn't know the meaning of customer service or just being kind in general ... it is him. I don't know how he has a job. I am so angry about his threats that I will be following up with the owners of this establishment because he is the worst of anyone I have ever seen. If I was lying about gas money, wouldn't I have said I put 60 bucks ... or something more than 20 ... and dude, I drive a nice car, I carry a Coach bag ... I am polite, I work two jobs ... I have money. I even told him, if he didn't believe me I would just pay with my card, and follow up with the owners at a later date, because there would be an extra twenty in their kiosk at the end of the day, but the threat ... just crosses the line. So, I'm at the Fair Oaks ampm gas station entering my card info yesterday 10-23-15 to pump my gas. No matter where I am, I cover the keypad as I enter my pin #. An employee of AM/PM standing behind me (REAL CLOSE) starts verbally accosting me, Apparently, she took this as a direct personal insult, althouh this was NOT THE CASE. She says, "I'm not trying to steal your PIN code, I work here. Plus, I would need your card as well to steal from you anyway. Firstly, it's wise to cover the keypad when entering your pin due to scams like duplicating card readers etc. spy cams etc. on any atm! My response to her taking my actions personally. "I don't really care if your a cop in uniform, if your close enough behind me that you can see me enter my pin code, I'm covering it with my other hand." After she got personal calling me several derogatory insults, I stooped to her level and gave her a piece of my mind. After driving away, I realized, WOW people are so ignorant. SMH NOT SORRY I CALLED HER A F'IN PIG. GHETTO!!! RUDE!!! YOU DON'T LIKE IT TOO BAD - WOW. Cheap prices on gas, but obviously they are hiring from the bottom of the barrel. The people who work here are nice but THE STATION AND AREA AROUND THE BUILDING IS FILTHY! The pumps are gross. There is always trash around and it looks like they haven't pressure washed the place in years!! How difficult or expensive is it to clean up around the pumps? read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The guy working the counter proceeded to correct me about the item (light cigarettes) I was buying, and would not let it go. I finally had to tell him I didn't care about the technical name (camel lights) and left. I didn't catch his name, but the second time I went there, he said he had an hour break which I find ridiculous. This guys was working the night shift @11:00pm 9/26/2017. May of last year 2018, I had an issue with one of the guys that work for this particular location, and instead of being professional and asking to help or assist me, he very rudely told me I had no business there, after pumping gas. This later escaladed to law enforcement being called, and I was simply on the phone, inside of my car, not bothering anyone. It's hard for me to understand, why this person would contact the police, if I hadn't committed a crime. I've posted to social media about how I feel, and never came back to this particular ampm location. Best wishes to that ampm employee and his family. Customer service is one thing, but discrimination is totally uncalled for. If you want people to shop or use your products, don't kicked them out, right after they made a purchase, or call the police for loitering inside my own vehicle. I gladly entertain a conversation with ownership in regards to his team members total lack of respect and customer service. read more

This Arco is tiny compared to others. There are never pumps available and yoi now have to go inside to use your debit card as the card readers on the pumps are blocked off. It is inconvenient if you were wanting to get a full tank, but not over pay. I try to go to other Arcos in the area and avoid this one. read more

WORST SERVICE ON ALL FRONTS! This is the worst ARCO/ampm EVER! This place gives Fair Oaks Village a bad name. The frustrating part about this place is it happens to be the only place within walking/short drive distance in the Village to get gas for your car if you are running low. Clearly the franchise owner neglects this place in all areas. Their are more broken pumps then are pumps that are working. All credit cards are blocked at the pumps and you need to go inside to use your card so they can charge you an extra fee for your transaction. (That fee would not be charged at the pump if they didn't have it blocked) The soda fountain has been broken for 6 months with a sign that says "Sorry out of order...But we are working on it! " scribbled on a dirty stained napkin taped to the machine. The hot food like hot dogs and burgers are stale and leathery and their buns are dried out. Their condiments seem to never be fresh and look more like recycled limp soggy leftovers from last week. All candy bars and sodas in a can are $1.99 across the board. The fountain drinks are cheaper, but it doesn't matter BECAUSE THE MACHINE IS BROKEN!!!!! The doors will be locked during normal business hours so the employees can mop the floors and clean the bathrooms all the while having A LINE OF CUSTOMERS WAITING AT THE DOOR!!! (They will do this at the busiest times of the day or night) all with a smile on their face knowing they are making you frustrated and wait. The workers they hire here are all awful but one. She has been working there for years and tries to go out of her way to be helpful. I have seen the night staff intensionally tell paying customers they do not have a bathroom, while taking the bathroom key chained on a stick off the counter and tuck it away out of sight. Ampm has a new app which has scratchers and my 11 year old daughter loves to play she wins prizes and she claims them always at this ampm !! The guy working the counter tonight told her that she can't claim the prize because it's only once a month that you can claim it .... which is a lie because the disclaimer on the app says they give you three scratchers every 24 hours and you have 48 hours to claim before they expire! Okay so he gave her the wrong information .....but while she was pleading her case to him he was very rude responding to her then told her to exit the store !!! She came back to the car in tears and I didn't want to get into it verbally with the guy so we left .... after finding out more info and reading the app and about the prizes I'm very upset how he handled this situation especially with a pre pre teen that's 11 and let me tell you my daughter was raised right !!
