If you want to wait in line forever go to this CVS. They're always understaffed and there's always 5000 people in line. Doesn't it matter if you go in at 9:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m.. you would think they would get wise about it and add more staff but no no you don't need your medications all that bad. Then they open the second lane up which nobody seems to drive through. So I ran through tonight oh just because it rained the whole world doesn't work oh my gosh poor me. If I had somewhere closer or better to go I would thanks CVS for letting me down. read more

So I have a prescription I've been on for a while, and it's not exactly cheap. When I first got it, my doctor sent it to the CVS near Howe and Fair Oaks. She also told me about GoodRx, which gives coupons so that I could get it at a better price (and it was still like $50-60!). That CVS pharmacy had good service, and always honored my GoodRx coupon, which made a huge difference. However, it was too far out of the way. I decided to move my prescription to this CVS pharmacy because it was much closer to my house and work, which made it a more convenient option. And that's where the headaches began. All of a sudden there's problems. I show the passive aggressive pharmacist my coupon, but for one reason or another the system isn't accepting it. And so...conveniently enough, they end up charging me about $25 more than what's on the perfectly good coupon that is specifically FOR THAT EXACT MEDICINE. And because I really needed it, I just bit the bullet and paid it, knowing full well I was getting screwed. However, today's experience was the last straw. I recently ordered a refill over the phone, and it was ready today. I had some things to do afterwards, but knowing the sh*t show that this place is, I didn't make plans because I anticipated problems. I also had my PERFECTLY GOOD GoodRx coupon ready to go. And of course, sure as the sun was going to come up today, there were issues. The prescription cost, according to them, was around $85. I showed the GoodRx coupon to her, and she ushered me over to the side to type in the coupon code. And, of course, the system won't take the code...again. So the pharmacist hands me off to another pharmacist, who calls GoodRx to inquire about the code. What I was then told was that the GoodRx coupon only applied to a different brand of the medication. Yea...I'm calling BS. I've always used the same brand, and it's exact name is written right there on the coupon, which always worked at the other CVS. So the pharmacist stated that she would have to order the mysterious other brand that the coupon applied to, so that I could actually pay a semi-affordable price for it. I agreed to it and went on my way. I was probably there a little north of half an hour. Glad I didn't make plans. So about an hour later, that same CVS calls me. I knew right away when I saw the call that there was going to be more to the story, because God forbid I was getting off the hook that easy. And sure enough, now the plot thickens! The coupon code I gave her was for a different medication that has a different function...even though none of this was mentioned while I was there. This medication has a distinctive name. No way it's getting completely mixed up with an entirely different medication. The pharmacist claimed that there was nothing she could do. Yea right, I'm calling BS. I just laughed and hung up the phone. This place doesn't even deserve the two stars it got based on all the reviews. Obviously the pharmacy sucks. The merchandise in the store is COMICALLY overpriced, and there's always a line a mile long at checkout, with only one employee available. They need to just bulldoze this place and put in something beneficial to the community, because this ain't it. read more

If there was an option to give zero or negative, I would have given that. I went to pick up a medicines which I needed to take on the very same day and was very urgent. The pharmacist (Asian) said she would not give me the medication because she never saw any doctor prescribe this medication to have so many. This was a specialty meds which needed to be taken more than one prescribed by the specialist. I have never seen a pharmacist question a doctor's prescription. "Bolus" dose as per the doctor! I mean it shows why she is a pharmacist (no offense) and not an actual doctor. I ended up leaving the pharmacy without the medication. Very poor & rude customer service, CVS!! This pharmacy should shut down if they have idiotic pharmacist like that. Either train them well or close down. We don't buy poor customer service like this. I made my doctor send the medication to Costco pharmacy instead which was ready in just an hour no questions asked. read more

Oh my goodness. No words to describe the frustration I just felt waiting in line to pay for a travel size toothbrush and toothpaste. While I appreciate that the woman at the cash register was trying to be nice, we were all waiting in line foreverrrrr because she wouldn't stop talking to every person, having a FULL conversation with them. Awful experience. Went to a doctor at 9am, got out and said they'd already given my prescription to the store. Waited 3.5 hours for them to call at 1:15pm. They called AGAIN to say my prescription is ready at 1:30 while I'm on my way up to the pharmacy. Get there at 1:35 and both inside and drive thru are closed for lunch until 2. For the pharmacy side of CVS, my experience can be classified along the lines of a doctor's visit. Wait...I think a visit to the dentist is a better analogy. The waits are painfully long and the service is numbing... My analysis is just basically the pharmacy being short-staffed. With the number of people waiting for service, there's not just enough staff to cope with the load. Plus, the queues aren't just inside the store...there's also the drive-through that needs attention as well. I also heard from one of the staff that the pharmacy is frequently being hit with "call-ins" from staff. Flu season? In the middle of summer? The grocery section of CVS is a different story. It looks well-stocked, and there's always staff available to help you with your queries. And the staff here are quite attentive. They see you in an aisle, they will immediately ask you if you need assistance. If only the pharmacy side was like this... read more

If you are travelling this holiday season, do NOT get your COVID PCT test done here. I took my test on Sunday. Tomorrow morning I'm supposed to board a plane, but I don't even have the flight requirements fulfilled because the Minute Clinic has not sent results (by the way, it's now late Tuesday.) I can't even get ahold of a live person to ask where my results are in the process! Do not use this pharmacy. They are un-organized. Lose your prescriptions not once but twice. They will tell you they will be done and you go pick it up it isn't ready. One day I took 4 visit. Tonight they messed up my husband prescription went from 92.00 as my co pay they tell us use this coupon had our insurance company take off their coupon it ended up going up to 230.00. They are the ones that told us to use this coupon and then couldn't get our co-pay back to the original amount. They said the best I can do is give you the prescription for 180.00 now. They screwed up and instead pf making up for their mistake and say we made a mistake we will honor the original price they wanted us to pay them more money. Don't use them. They have no manager to complain to or make things right. Our prescription are short. We are suppose to get inhalers for a 30 day supply they gave my husband a 14 day supply. The Dr told us they gave me samples and charges us full price for a prescription that was jot ordered. read more

I finally transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy. My auto-refill prescription was out of stock so I got three days worth to tide me over. The pharmacist called last night at 5:00, a week later, to say my prescription was ready. When I went to get it today, and waited in line for 15 minutes, they had returned it to stock. It seems to be a case of retaliation that I have moved to a new pharmacy. Mind you this is after calling the automated phone line twice to ensure I would get the refills on time AND being on the auto-refill program. Ensuring there were refills available on my prescription, I really try to make my part of the process smooth. It is especially disheartening that there are no valid explanations of their actions, just a shrug of the shoulders. In the past I would have to return twice because they "were running behind" or "short staffed" , however since I was so close I did it. After the third month. It appears that my time and business is not valuable to them. I have also called the corporate office multiple times. This time they are sending a team lead to see what us going on and call me back. I hope there is something enlightening that comes of this however I will see what their resolution is. CVS was very convenient, however it is not worth the stress 2 or 3 times a month trying to get my prescriptions. On the bright side the retail has great sales and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I will miss the extra bucks I receive from getting my expensive prescriptions there, but they have specials that can't be beat and always have the perfect greeting card. If you are on any life dependent medications like I am, please think twice before selecting this pharmacy. read more

This place should get ZERO stars. Still waiting 4 days for another simple refill. I had to drive to ROSEVILLE to get an eye drops refill before I went blind!! That's 30 miles!! AND because they are late on the refills = it affects YOUR NEXT REFILL DATE. The refill dates go by the FILL date NOT THE REQUEST date. I actually had an RX EXPIRE BEFORE THEY COULD FILL IT! I requested it before the expiration date, but because it took them several days to fill it - it expired and was DENIED. Such horrible incompetence. Scarey. In short, go-to Costco, Safeway, Walgreens, anywhere but here...unless your insurance company wants you to go here. If CVS pharmacy at this location is going for the quality of Comcast customer service, they are doing great. Btw, if you haven't heard, Comcast is rated 15th worst customer service company in USA. These are experiences combined over the last 6 months. 1) Meds always take 3 days to fill, even though I have refills left. Call it in Monday morning, and it'll usually be ready by Thursday. 2) Even after a call from the automated system, the script is still not ready. 3) Once, even called them for a refill. He said it'll be ready by end of day. I went the next day, and it still wasn't ready. Finally, went back a second time on the 3rd day, and got it. CVS cares about you just as much as Comcast, maybe less. BTW, my husband is a clinical pharmacist for a hospital. He says CVS is the worst as some of his friends work there. Crappy pay, serverly understaffed. These workers are not happy, and their customer service shows. People use this place as a starting job to get into better places. Why do I go-to CVS? Because our gold plan, which I pay $700/month for, primarily wants me to go there. I much prefer Costco, but I have to pay more. If I need a med the same day, I go-to Costco. read more

Needed an item at 430 am on our way to Kirkwood. Sign says open 24 hours but the employees lock up "for Lunch" and put a sign on the door that they will re open at 5am. Unprofessional and rude. Went for a COVID test and had a hard time hearing the employee and asked her to speak up because I couldn't understand what she was saying. She then tells me she's not going to yell. I asked to speak to the pharmacist and when I tried to tell him about the rude employee he jumps in saying that he has dealt with me three times and I've been rude. Tried to explain this was my second time interacting with him, first was for a booster shot, and today. He then tells me to take my business elsewhere. He doesn't know who he is dealing with. There was this guy who worked there for awhile that worked the drive through and made as much effort to find medication as a passed out stoner. Look left. Look right. "I don't see it.
