Went in to go pay at the am/pm. Went to go tap pay, and the clerk told me, " oh that card reader isn't working." I went to go grab cash and he had an awkward look on his face as he grabbed the receipt and said "oh it went through." I asked him why he told me that it was broke. " he then replied "oh well, somebody's stealing peoples information off of the card real reader so we're telling people not to tap their card. There's a sign right there you can read." Sure enough there's a sign, but it's off to the side and it's a whole big long paragraph. Who is going to be stepping up to pay and say oh look I'm going to read that big long paragraph?!?! NO ONE! So then the other clerk gets really rude and says "Man all you people are Trippin read the dang sign." Can I give negative stars? If I could I would. The employees at this store are the rudest, most unhappy people I have encountered in the service industry in a long time. After a few horrible experiences at this location, we will not be back. It's worth paying a little more for gas for good customer service. In today's world the way they are treating people, they are lucky more people have not been even worse back to them. What happened to the days of "the customer is always right". I mean I understand that this is not always true, but aside from a customer yelling, screaming and being an ass... this rule still applies. Watch out too... they may charge you for something you didn't get and then try to tell you they can't refund you...just use what they charged you for. Arco (stands for the Atlantic Richfield Company) is on fire lately. Last year they have opened a handful of gas stations featuring AM-PM convenience stores. This Arco just celebrated its Grand Opening on November 11. Fast forward less than two months later, this new Arco is an upbeat place to fuel up the car. The gas pumps are state-of-the-art. As soon as you start pumping the gas, the gas pump changes into a TV monitor that broadcasts the weather, news, and other info. This is an improvement over many of the local gas stations where graffiti carved into the pumps devastates the experience of fueling up. Although the quality of the fuel is at the top tier, the prices at the pump are at the lowest tier. According to the Arco website, they pass the lower prices by being cash and debit only. When it comes to filling up my vehicle, space is the place. Open space that is. Unless my vehicle is hitting empty, I refuse to squeeze into a cramped gas station. This Arco, on the other hand offers a lot of driving room. Speaking of open space, I usually stop here on the way to the open spaces of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and parklands in the Henderson periphery. This Arco is off the US 95 and Horizon Ridge Parkway corridor creating a convenient stop. The neat thing about this Arco is that it overlooks Black Mountain which is enjoyable scenery to look at when pumping gas. When I stop at this Arco, it is more than vehicle fuel. I stop in the modern and bright AM-PM for beverages. On the weekend a 44 ounce fountain drink is 79 cents. My primary fuel is the bottle water that I will enjoy on the hiking trail. They have a deal where two bottles of Deluge spring water costs $2. This makes Arco a recommended go to spot for hikers using the adjacent Hidden Falls Park as a gateway into the Armogosa Trail. In addition to the fuel islands and AM-PM there is a self service car wash. When I fuel up, my expectations are more than reasonable prices. I want to pull into a station with room to maneuver my vehicle, look at a clean gas pump that is not carved with graffiti, then pick up a beverage from an attractive convenience store. This new Arco in the shadows of the US 95 and Black Mountain satisfies my expectations and a whole lot more. read more

Usually I go fill up at Costco but its always a parking lot so discovered this new spot with almost identical prices and no huge line. The place is pretty clean inside staff varies between polite & bleh. But in the end makes my wallet happy. read more

I wanted to write an update. They finally reimbursed me for my windshield wiper like they should have done in the beginning. It turns out the main owner was out of town and when he came back he told the manager to take care of me. They had me contact this insurance guy who came out to look at my car and the wiper, but they ended up giving me a check from the company. They definitely need some customer service training, but the employees and the manager seem to have good intentions. I will go back on occasion to get gas and purchase items from the convenience store. I'm glad they finally took care of me. :) read more

My daughter went to pay cash for gas. She told the cashier "25 on 13". The cashier applied it to pump 15. When my daughter went to pump the gas it wouldn't work. By the time they figured it out and the cashier admitted the error, someone else had pulled up to 15 and was filling their tank. I'm certain the customer didn't know. However, the cashier called the manager who claimed she had the conversation recorded on an app, yet wouldn't play it for my husband or daughter. They refused to give the gas or the money. There is now a police report filed and a call into the corporate office. I am not sure why a business would want a bad reputation, especially from a (prior) repeat customer. I stopped in mid day thirsty AF during this hot summer day and the clerk screams across the store about not having a mask. Not asking to put one on just screaming mask. I look over and simply say I don't have one. First thing the clerk says is bye, and starts screaming bye at me so I said eff u on the way out. I was in my truck and didn't have a mask in my truck since it's not my car I drive all the time I actually barley drive it. Instead of the clerks asking any questions or saying ok wear one next time they just screamed bye. I will never give another dollar to this store. Such a beautiful gas station it's too bad it has the WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE of anywhere in the Valley. I've been going there since it opened and today I stopped in to fill my tank ($88.00) and the clerk behind the counter (I didn't get the name but it was a large female "I think" ) didn't even acknowledge me and stood there I put five twenty dollars on the counter and told the pump number and pumped my gas. Went in and got my change she still didn't acknowledge me or said thank you or anything? I told her "your welcome" she THEN looked at me as if I cussed her out! They don't accept credit cards at all, no signs anywhere stating that so basically you have to wait in line at the register to have the cashier tell you they don't accept credit. Put a sign up stating that please! Waste of my time as I went out of my way to get to that gas station. read more

Went to their carwash and the employees damaged my rims by putting a chemical on them before entering their car wash. The company and staff admitted fault on numerous occasions. They even had us get estimates for the repair. They then changed their minds and said they would not cover it. Never take your car there!!! Used the car wash. It did a decent job but left a lot of soap and water in the door jambs and water/soap spots. I contacted the manager and he was kind enough to give me a free car wash. I decided to give it another try a few weeks after I received the free wash. I show the attendant my free wash, he goes inside to verify it but comes back out and informs me it's a different manager now and they will not honor my complimentary wash. I stopped here to fill up against my better judgement since AMPM always charges a fee to use one of the most common payment methods however I was just getting gas for my company vehicle and had my company credit card. Guess what? They don't take credit cards! What inner city gas station doesn't take credit cards?? How is it that AMPM can stay in business and even grow their business by buying out Rebel? It's not like they give such a great deal on anything that they can justify passing a 0.35 fee to their customers to use debit. This is really bad if you just go in for a cheap item like soda or water. Now instead of your water being 99 cents you are paying over 30% more just because you want to use your debit card.
