Went in yesterday to get a few items and noticed that it's undergoing a remodel, so the store is a little messy if you will. One of the items in particular was a bottle of tequila and went up to the register to pay. My son was checking out ahead of me and the cashier was super rude to him and I have to say I was honestly a little appalled because I've never encountered such rudeness at this particular Smith's market. He also had some alcohol, so she asked him for his ID. He pulled his wallet out and showed her and she rudely said take it out of your wallet. I have to scan it. He said to her well you should've asked me that way to begin with instead of being rude about it. She did not respond to that When I got up to her, I asked her how she was doing. She ignored me and asked me for a phone number which I gave her and she proceeded to ring up my items without saying another word to me. She then did the alcohol and it had a lock top on it and she couldn't remove it and asked me if there were other ones over there. I said there was but they all had locked tops on them. She said that's not what I asked you. She then handed the bottle to the cashier at the next register, who also could not remove the lock top and outwardly said I don't know why they put these on there. They're not the right ones and we can never get them off. She proceeded to bang the bottle on the Turnstile, and the customer in her line was a little nervous about it breaking and shooting off into him. In the meantime, my son went and grabbed another bottle because nobody was doing anything came back with it and they were able to remove the lock. The cashier then just handed me my change didn't count it out and shoved the receipt along with it. Clearly she didn't want to be there and I don't know why she's allowed to work with customers because she was horrible not only to me, but like I said, the customer ahead of me. Sometimes I save receipts from places not local to me with the intention writing a review later. I came across my receipt from quite a while back. Smith's grocery store is part of the Kroger company. For my friends in SoCal, it's just like Ralph's. This one is located in the Henderson Shopping Village. When my hubby and I are were in the area, we made a stop here to pick up some beverages. At the counter, I entered my phone number. The receipt detailed how much I saved on each item which Smith's calls "FreshValue Savings." The store aisles are spacious and the store was clean. This isn't my go-to Smiths but when I'm in the area (there's a fantastic donut place a stones throw away) and I need to grab something from the grocery store, I come here. There's a good amount of parking in the lot and I appreciate the flow. I think some people might find it a bit confusing because I see people driving the wrong way or cruising through stop signs all the time but for me, I don't mind the parking situation here. I like the layout of this Smiths. It's pretty similar to others except the self check out is even closer to the doors. It's a bit annoying to actually have to go through the flower section to get to produce and the deli but it's also cute. The aisles are fairly wide and it's always stocked pretty well. The place is usually pretty clean and I appreciate that. The employees here, I've never had a problem with. Pretty neutral and that's how I like it. I don't want someone who is rude and super unhappy but I also don't want people who are too helpful and annoying. Perfect balance here for my tastes. read more

I think it's important for the community to continue to have a grocery store in this area that said when I want chicken, I go to the one on warm Springs because the fried chicken they give me is perfect. The parking here can be challenging since it's shared with other stores near by. The stores pretty stock and have good deals. The only downside is the meat counter closed early. So sometimes when they don't have what you needed out on the floor. read more

ON Mar 8, 25 I went shopping to get some Maryland crab cakes @ 1.29 ec. I asked for 15, the person gave me a pkg that said the price for 15, when I got home I opened the pkg to find ONLY 10 crab cakes. This is BS on their part and should pay attention to what they are doing! Also, it they went back to selling by the pound, THIS WOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED! We can see the scale, but cannot see what they put on the pkgs. This is not the 1st time I have had problems with this smiths, I will have to find another place to shop! read more

Went to Smiths on Lake Mead. Right around 11 am. Bought a rib roast. Pre packaged. Around 240.00 dollars. Asked meat dept to cut into 1 roast and rest steaks. Was told they could not help us as we would have to come in early am to have meat cut. Took home and cut myself which was a pain. Needless to say will not go back to that smiths if that is how their customer service is. read more

Pharmacy was reaching out to old doctor and provided wrong blood pressure to husband until we noticed after he experienced health issues because of the dosage. Switched to CVS and no issues. Then, because of severe spine problems and surgery's we had a prescription from a pain management referral from primary that provided 7 days until pain management . Husband works physical job at almost 60 with several surgeries and only gets medication when it's severe and surgery is needed again... Smiths wouldn't fill it because we use CVS. For normal prescriptions But the pain doctor doesn't use CVS I said I needed to check with them first to see and would call back. Since the doctor won't be there until next week, I called Smiths to go ahead and move all prescriptions so I could get his medication filled. Found out they voided his prescriptions saying I told them the doctor would send a new prescription to CVS after I said they don't use CVS... Now my husband can't address the issue until next week in pain... who knows if they will re-write pain medication as that may be suspicious.. who voids someone's needed medication without cause.... So upset with this pharmacy..they wouldn't correct their error..they seem to make up their own rules... they said we need another prescription which was pending yesterday and de-activated just because of the type of medication... and made me switch all my medications just to get them filled which they didn't do.... This is why I prefer CVS because of their incompetence... I always have issues with them... read more

Love this Smiths. They have a great selection of all the foods we like. Only issue we waited a little longer than usual due to our line didn't have a bagger. So the customer bagged her own groceries which she had a lot. The checker was waiting for her to bag her groceries then she paid. Line would have been quicker if our line had a bagger instead of the customer. When it was our turn, one of the baggers from another line noticed and came into our line to assist. read more

I made a visit to the store's bakery and flowers/balloon department. I needed a last minute cake. I am typically a planner. But I was elated to discover that the Smith's bakery could bake and design my cake in 24 hours. It was an incredible experience. I worked with Carina & Nancy. They were both wonderful! I can tell you that I will be ordering my cakes from this bakery from now on!!! the cake was BEAUTIFUL, fast and most importantly......delicious. I had I needed balloons and Alexis from the flower the department helped me out....she explained which balloons would last just a few hours which was very helpful. It's the small details that really matter. She even tied the balloons together so that they wouldn't tangle! These folks are wonderful!. read more

The person that helped me, I believe her name is Corrine or Corina ( not sure of spelling). it has been a long time since I have had a customer service person be so polite and so lovely to me. I need it a birthday cake for my child and I had all week to order it but I kept forgetting because I'm a busy mom. So of course I remember the day of. I went to the bakery expecting to get a cake in the freezer, but I asked is there a way to have a maid cake and pick it up the same day. Well they were crazy busy today. I believe Corrina/ Corine had several cakes to make, including a three tier cake, and cakes that were due tomorrow morning but she decided to squeeze me in and it was probably one of the nicest things anyone has done for me all year. This store is a super spreader event waiting to happen. They don't enforce the mask mandate at all. I saw at least ten people without masks. Then, there was the old guy two aisles over from me who was coughing the entire time he was shopping, and every time he coughed HE PULLED HIS MASK DOWN OFF OF HIS FACE. Ordered a cake from bakery and was upset because this is what their perception of a strawberry cake....it was very nice and taste good but where are the strawberries? Called the store and spoke to the bakery manager she tells me "one layer of strawberries and thin slices is how we fill our cakes!" I said if I would've known that I would've told them fill it with more than one layer and add strawberry filling. I tasted more whipped cream than strawberries. Also, didn't offer compensation for the inconvenience of my travel and I felt like she really didn't care. CONDUCT your business better! Your customers should be aware of your policy on how you make your cakes. I should've been told when I ordered this cake that "Our bakery does one layer of strawberries and our slices are thinner than sandwich sliced meat from our deli!" TROY the Pharmacist and Britney (pharmacy tech) spoke to me very INSULTING, Poor and Degrading manner like i was begging for my medications that is categorized within controlled substance! all my medications were transferred to a different location (SMITHS pharmacy) without knowing that there was such a " protocol " when transferring certain medications is being made. But this is the first time that i was informed. And the way it was said hurtful and very inappropriate and it is WRONG! Here is the best and the worst....The best: Kroger Brand heavy cream. It is the best. It is by far the thickest and I use it in my coffee. It's thick n creamy and you only need 1 tablespoon . The Worst: their steaks: they are all tough and inedible .is that a mark on the steak where the hockey was hitting it? My go-to grocery stop. Just a few minutes from my house, they have so many deals and items that I definitely love to get. Now that they have the gas station built next to it, I find myself here at least once or twice a week! Me and babes share a smiths card and do most of our shopping needs here since it's in between our houses. Every dollar spent gives you a point towards gas.... which gives you even more savings at the pump! This is the best incentive for me to do my grocery shopping at smiths. (You always get 3 cents off gas, regardless). But honestly, I feel like we get the best deals in the produce and meat sections here. If you're not signed up for a smiths card, you should definitely NOT think about getting one, and just GET one. :-) read more

They absolutely do not care how long their lines are, 8 people lined up at each check stand with the aisles jam packed in this time of Covid. This place has gone downhill. Not that it was so wonderful before. If you like to play bumper carts with angry people, this place is awesome! It used to be somewhat cleaner inside. The produce has also seemed to diminish quality. I like that they have free fruit for kids while you shop, more stores should follow that one. The customer service is also awesome and employees are great. Once I had another customer walk out with all my groceries and the store was very helpful and kind about the whole thing. I went to smiths today to get my sister a balloon, mind you the balloon costs $15 itself. As I walked outside I noticed balloon wasn't filled up all the way so I went back and she had to audacity to ask me if I even paid for the balloon, and didn't fill it up more. I have placed orders at this deli before for meat and veggie trays and have always been satisfied with the results so it is my go to place. However, this time I placed an order for The Big Game ordering a veggie tray and a deviled egg platter. The veggie tray was fine but the deviled egg platter looks like a child made it. I dropped by Smith's to pick up some food and drinks on my way to an event. The people at the store were helpful and kind. The register at the self check out lane was giving me a difficult time because I wasn't able to fit my large grocery items on the scale. The lady (she had a blonde ponytail) working the self checkout area assisted me with checking out all of my groceries. I wish I knew her name! I was also assisted by James at the deli. I had a few more grocery items that I needed to check out along with my deli purchase but one of the items wasn't scanning because the barcode was damaged. When I began to walk back to the condiment aisle to grab another bottle James quickly came from around the counter and ran to get it for me. They were both super helpful and nice.
