This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had--and I work in the customer service industry, purchasing parts daily. The representatives were completely unhelpful when it came to finding the part I needed. Worse yet, they were extremely rude and went as far as to humiliate me in front of other customers. In several visits recently, I met several staff at this location for consultation and purchases. They are all very friendly and try to help me in every way. 100% recommended store. Ordered 2 water inlets, 1 arrived clearly used and when I hooked the hose on I quickly realized it was the wrong inlet so I returned them. I was charged $13 to return them and then get an email saying they wouldn't accept my return because the item was "used" (as I received it) and "installed" (by attaching hose?). The stove grate that I bought from them was excellent. Unfortunately the shipper must have thrown the box and cracked it. I contacted Amre and got some really good help from Yasmin Ainab. They were very good about it. I just had to send some pictures and they promptly refunded me the full amount including shipping. Initially an extremely poor outcome but since that time, I have gotten a call from the manager and it was a mess up with order numbers in their system. He is providing a return shipment sticker and has stated that this mix-up was their issue and not mine. The correct replacement part is ordered and I'm anxious to put this bad experience to bed. It was a pleasure and a relief to deal with Beth at Amre Supply. It was unfortunate that I had to go through a call centre to get through to the actual store...but when I finally did, service was perfect. Beth went out of her way to answer my questions, ascertain what part I needed for an extraction fan, and had the correct part ordered within two hours. I received it the next day. DO Not use these people!!! Very rude csr experience after the fact. Will not own to mistakes and always blame the customer. I researched a part for a Panasonic microwave diode. Went to Amre's and got the part. Right away I knew something was wrong. The part given was completely different than what is pictured on their website. I asked Alex the rep if it will work he said yes since most MV diodes are the same. Well it didnt work. Also, the diode came in a small plastic bag inside a larger plastic bag. The outside part # was different than the inside part#. A bit of a bait and switch tho probably not intentional by Whirlpool the mfg. Still it was a different part#. Went back and dealt with an idiot named Nelson who argued with me it was the same part. Obviously his eyes are shot since the pic of the diode shows 2 cylinders not 1 which is the diode I received. He said cuz I opened the package it's used - cannot return. Kept saying no, no, NO. You will not get a refund. So what do you expect a normal person to do - look at it and not try it out after Alex said it shud work despite it being the wrong part# to begin with?? Dumb MF... Luckily I contacted the mgr Jeff who understood the situation and admitted how Nelson handled the incident was WRONG. Got a refund this morning. If you need parts try Home Depot first as they have a more lenient return policy and dont act like dicccks when a mistake is made. Tough guy keyboard warriors there at Amre. lol. read more
