Not professional at all. When I did finally speak to him, which was past nearly 7p, he said he was delayed. I get that part, but when you tell someone I specifically frame (2-3p) and you know you aren't going to make it, then it's only courteous business practice to call the customer back with a heads up and maybe reschedule if needed. But that didn't happen here until I called him in the evening. I've used to be a general contractor, and have had days where something unexpected happened, but if I had other obligations that day, I made a point to call my customers and let them know any updates and delays. You just don't not call someone back and hope they are OK with it.
