Through searching Yelp I decided to contact AMS Tax Service to help me resolve a time sensitive audit of my 2016 tax return. The IRS audit which included penalties and interest was substantial . Laura Silva was the accountant I worked with on my case. Laura worked diligently for me communicating with the IRS . Through her communication with them I was able to provide the missing documentation needed for their acceptance. This all took place during the government shutdown also . I just received a letter yesterday stating they accepted my provided information and my case is closed . We needed to get a new tax preparer this year. We called a few different places that were highly recommended on Yelp by those that had already been there. When we called AMS the person who answered the phone was personable and knowledgeable. She told us Misty could take care of all our needs and concerns, so we made an appointment. When we arrive we were taken right in to Misty, no waiting which was a first by itself. Misty was friendly and indeed address all our concerns and maximized our returns. I cannot say enough our experience at AMS, I questioned myself about actually posting this review, wanting to save this place for myself, because we know if word gets out we probably will have to wait to see Misty next year. We have had our taxes prepared here for the last 4 years. Our accountant is Richard and he does an exceptional job! My favorite part of the whole process is how organized and efficient getting the taxes completed are. Every January I get a packet with our prior years tax information included with additional questions to answer for our upcoming tax appointment. At the appointment, Richard plugs in the current years information. By the end of the appointment I have a really good idea of what I am looking at. This business is top notch. i just received a tax bill for over 2k because this business didn't do their job. my corp extension was never filed, after a conversation was had to get it done. my personal extension was done...but now i have a bill on ams account for this error. how do you do one and not the other. you'll be hearing from my attorney to get this expensive error resolved. read more

I have tried for two years to get information from this business. Richard Mangus does not return calls or emails. I still do not know if a mutual client (who gave permission to talk to me) has their tax returns done. He does not return the client's calls either. Very frustrating and I hope there are no tax consequences. read more

Received a letter from the IRS stating I owed quite a lot of money. The tax preparer that helped me that year was not responding to any of my phone calls so I came here on yelp requesting a quote for my situation. Loved that I Immediately received a response from Garri who also became my Tax Preparer.
