Amsoco is a terrible company and work environment. Works be working unsafe and the management is the worst, they don't care about nobody but themselves. The prices for the windows are extremely expensive just for the workers to drop the windows and still be shipping them out to consumers. Wouldn't recommend buying or working from/for this company. read more

I needed a broken handled repaired or replaced on an AMSCO window so I went to AMSCO for help. They were extremely helpful and replaced the new part on my window immediately with in 10 minutes. Great Customer Service! read more

My wife and I remodeled our home in Claremont, CA and bought the AMSCO Hampton casement windows with a black exterior and white interior. The black is perfect in how it compliments the dark bronze anodized aluminum doors. We are extremely impressed with the comfort and appearance of the CozE-MAX glass which have a nice gray color instead of the common green windows that our neighbors have. The sunlight is no longer superheating the interior of our house when the afternoon sun shines on the front windows. We are so happy with our decision to go with the AMSCO windows. read more

I am hoping Scott S. in NV. reivew on 3-26-24 sees this review. What you were told is a lie! I have black AMSCO windows in my new build. Not, bronze, not brown, not charcoal...BLACK! and they are Garbage! I am so disgusted with the quality of these windows and in trying to get them replaced, I too am being told LIES! "It is just how they are made, they come this way, they are factory specification..." In my 50 plus years of life owning several homes, I have NEVER seen windows that look like I have in what was supposed to be my dream home! I wanted to have a 0 star rating however I couldn't submit the review until I selected one. My rating is a 0 Star! read more

Casement hardware has failed within five years. Crank gears are made of aluminum and one has failed completely, and the others are not far behind. Waiting for installer to respond on some sort of warranty replacement, but frankly will pay to have them work properly. Not sure I would go the AMSCO route again. read more

The Amsco windows installed into Bates Homes by Valley Glass in Belgrade Montana leak consistently. I called the manufacturer directly and was told by one of their customer services representatives that their windows are designed to allow water into the house. Unbelievable! I asked him several times if that was right. He got angry and said that was indeed the design and that it was not a problem. Neither Bates Homes nor Valley Glass are of any help, saying they think the design is fine. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Purchased $40,000 worth of Studio Series BLACK vinyl windows from Amsco for the new house my wife and I are building. When the installation of the windows started I was shocked to see that the windows were a bronze color - not BLACK. When I called the vendor he informed me that dark bronze is BLACK. I called the sales rep Danny Piantanidia at Amsco and was told the same thing. I asked how this could be when the Amsco website for these windows clearly called out and showed a color sample of BLACK - not bronze. I was told that there are several shades of BLACK - who knew!!! In the Amsco universe dark brown is now BLACK. Nowhere on the website or in the order was there any disclosure or clarification that if you order Black vinyl windows you would receive dark bronze - not Black - completely misrepresented. Tried with Amsco customer service to get some assistance and was referred to sales manager Steve Chapman, but never got a call back. Having designed our home around these black windows with black: facia, eves, accent colors, stone veneer, standing seam metal roof on the exterior and black hardware, faucets, granite, etc... on the interior it's completely depressing to have dark bronze windows with no accountability from the manufacturer. If you want Black windows for your project find a different manufacturer and one that will stand behind what they represent to sell. read more

Just don't. If your building, choose another company. Take my word for it. Nothing but problems. Poor quality. Bent and crooked grids. Windows don't open properly. Glass getting spotted changing colors. Just overall poor quality. Worst decision of our build! I'm worried for the future of our doors and windows for my beautiful home. read more

We purchased a home with Amsco windows put in by the developer in 2006. A year after purchase, two windows had to be replaced due to leaks. At the 8 year mark, the majority of the window seals had failed with condensation between the panes. We called one after another of their dealers for support and never received a call back. The lifetime warranty is non existent, don't buy based on this. These windows are terrible, stay away!!! read more

Horrid company; They put high alt breather tubes in windows for San Diego. Windows have failed; Picture Perfect (company in San Diego) has not been much help; Amsco will not deal with customers directly, you must deal with a retailer; So hope and pray you use a retailer that stays in business, and wants to deal with replacing the bad windows. This all said, once you find a good retailer, and actually get the replacement glass reordered from Amsco, the retailer should have the replacement glass within 2 weeks. read more

Terrible quality. We were unfortunate enough to purchase a home with AMSCO windows installed when it was built in 2008 and more than half of our windows no longer close properly and AMSCO only honors their "lifetime warranty" if the home is never sold. If you want windows that will last more than 11 years without expensive repairs, avoid AMSCO like the plague. read more

We were highly dissatisfied with the job done by Amsco. We live in an apartment in Logan and without receiving any notice that they were coming in the first place, we came home to an overturned apartment. Whoever did the installation did a horrible job. They shoved anything and everything they could out of the way and didn't even attempt to put it back how it was, just left it. The windows have finger prints and residue from stickers as well as parts of stickers all over them. I was very unimpressed with the company and wouldn't recommend or trust them with another job. I highly recommend another company. read more

I bought a house with 15 year old AMSCO windows. 6 had failed (fog / moisture between panes) and it cost me $4K to fix. Based on the trend after only 15 years, it will likely cost me $15K to $20k when all is said and done. Their warranty sucks and doesn't cover. Watch out! read more

Let me explain. I am in Denver. I have had Amsco windows for 12 years. I have 3 the sliders have fallen out, 4 the latches but most important one window cracked. I have called 4 companies that sell Amsco none have returned my call. I have called Amsco 3 different times to find out what to do since they are based in UT. All I get is another name of another company that won't call back. I will go with someone more dependable. read more

Our home is less than 6 years old and the seals on all of our windows have failed. The windows are poor quality and it has taken several months to address this with the manufacturer as they are too busy. I recommend you shop around before considering this company. read more

I have purchased 30 or so Amsco windows through the years. Recently, I bought a large window (three panel with two sliders) and had a problem (I inadvertently caused) to the frame. Amsco got me a new frame and I easily swapped the two sliders into the new frame from the old frame. It looks great. Thanks to Kimball at Amsco. read more

While I think they did a good job and I like their products, they were super expensive and I still had 14 more windows that needed to be replaced. In May of this year I started to seriously consider getting the rest replaced. Enter Alpine Exteriors. They provided the third bid and landed in the middle price wise. They were considerably less expensive than Champion (no surprise) and slightly more expensive than a no name company that came out selling cheap quality windows. But Alpine Exteriors quality, service, and selection really stood out. I met with the owner, Hiram Molloy, at my home and there was zero sales pressure and no games. He has access to a number of different windows at all different price points, so he was able to find something in my budget and a quality I was happy with. They were installed a couple weeks ago and that was the real test. I'm pretty OCD and I want perfection. I'm never fully satisfied because that would be impossible, but the installers did a nice job. They were friendly and detail oriented. I asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time watching the install and they were courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up the mess and used preventative measures around my furniture to keep the mess at a minimum. Upon final cleanup they collected all the stickers from the windows and placed them on copy paper so I could apply for the rebate. Hiram followed through on his promise and mailed me all the rebate paperwork with instructions. If you are looking for a quality window company that offers a competitive price and does what they say they are going to do, look no further than Alpine Exteriors.

I had to request multiple times for someone to do a walk through with me after the install was complete and that was completed, pictures and notes were taken but nothing was done about my concerns. Our vinyl windows are 30 years old and have started being difficult to open. Six months ago one broke, dropping out a metal piece from the side. We kept opening it and placing a stick to hold it up. Then in May, the other metal piece on the other side dropped. Bids for new windows came in between $500-$1800, way too much for us. We took one of the metal pieces (now I know it's called a window channel balance) into Amsco because it's a local window manufacturing company close to our home and asked for their help in replacing it. Within a few minutes, an employee brought out two new channel balances and showed us how to place them into the window. Besides that, he didn't charge us a penny. Wow... what a nice company. With all the added stress of going through a new construction on our home the last thing we wanted was to be shopping around and haggling with multiple window companies to find the best product at the best price. Thankfully we didn't have to do that. Our contractor suggested Discount Window and we found the Amsco line of windows there. We decided on the Artisan Series and are very satisfied. We bought our home 10yrs ago and one of the first things we wanted to change was the aluminum windows. Our home was cold and the heating bill was sky high! We did some research and found Amsco Windows to be the best quality for the price we could afford. We ordered through The Brokerage and they were super with their customer service. What we found with our new windows was very satisfying. Not only did our heating bill drop, but an absolute bonus was how quiet our home was now with these vinyl windows. After getting several estimates for windows, i decided to go with Amsco Windows. I purchased them from Bill @ Hardy Windows in Anaheim. He was very knowledgeable about the Amsco Window product & explained all the benefits i would get with the Amsco Window. I wanted a contemporary look and decided on the Studio Series window. Went to Discount Window as suggested by my contractor. The thought of so much selection we a little over whelming at first but I knew what I wanted and knew that I had found it in the new Amsco Vista series. It is the most affordable entry line vinyl window on the market. It looks great and costs way less that I thought a window of that quality would run. Extremely happy with my decision. I purchased my windows through Discount window. We purchased windows from Amsco Studio series and loved the three different color selections that they had to choose from. I choose the almond color and it looks great. I wont buy any other window ever again becase nothing compares to the quality and look of these windows. They had a very short lead time and were substantially lower priced than the Milgard Styline series that we were also looking into. We purchased windows from Phils Glass and have been soooo happy with them. We visited Amsco's plant and they recommended a low-e option and it has made a huge difference in our heating and cooling bill. We had a window that we broke and Phils came out and fixed it right away. The only thing I was disappointed in was that Amsco had storm doors. read more

I love my AMSCO Windows. I used to work for the company, so I know what goes into those windows. When I built my home I wouldn't accept any substitutes. The builder was using another installer, but I hooked them up with Mt. View Builder Supply because I know they deal with AMSCO. Believe me people, accept no substitutes! read more

Notably, for our largest window, he ordered a double pane window instead of triple pane like the rest of the house. He claimed it was still top of the line despite actually being closer to bottom of the line. This window did not even qualify for Dominion Energy's efficiency rebate. As far as I can tell the Lennox windows they sell are just Alside Mezzo windows which you can get from a distributor and have anyone install. The only benefit I see Synergy providing is connecting buyers, distributors and installers.

If I could throw another star their way, I would. But Yelp limits me to five. There's something magical about sitting by an open window, feeling the gentle breeze. I have not been able to experience that in the past few years, as the windows in my house have been broken and unable to open. So I finally bit the bullet and reached out to HomeStar Windows and Doors to get a bid to replace them. Dave came out to measure and gave me a bid promptly. He did not put on the pressure, but gave me options-"good, better, best" and thoroughly explained the difference. We decided to go through with the replacement and got on the schedule. We also decided to replace the blinds with shutters and asked to coordinate the installation to happen around the same time. Well, the windows were ready to be installed sooner than we anticipated, and Dave offered to cover the cost of having the old blinds taken down and reinstalled so we could go ahead with the window installation before the shutters. It also landed on a day that we would be out of town, so they offered to text me when they arrived and then again when they left for the day. It was nice to get those updates so I was aware of when people would be in my house. When we returned home, the new windows were in and all the old ones were taken away. It made my life easy! All I needed to do was put furniture back that I had moved for them. There were also some holes in walls that I'll need to patch that looked like had been made when the windows were removed. And now, I sit by an open window (that I was able to open with one finger rather than the gargantuan effort it used to take) and enjoy the nice breeze. I shouldn't have waited so long.

But this last project installing high-end frameless sliding glass shower doors in two shower over tub applications did not turn out well: a $6800 investment for two shower door applications. Initially water under the doors the full length of the tub. I went back and they gave me clear plastic water dams to install under the doors. That stopped water flowing under the doors in the middle but leaks at the corners still were a problem. It would appear that perfectly straight glass door sides with plastic edge trim don't perfectly close gaps found in slightly imperfect tile walls. After multiple trips, additional suggestions of trim adjustment and additional caulking we still had leakage at corners. At the final trip back to the shop the personnel were clearly not happy to see me. Note that never once did they offer to come out and see what was happening with the $6800 doors. Was only told that they never had problems with leakage before. I was given some additional edging and sent on my way. Certainly not the type of service one would expect from a full-service glass shop. I suggest folks in the market for high-end product expecting follow-on customer service should look elsewhere.
