Today I went there to send money through Western union.. Western union are partnership with Amscot Company... Anyway the Manager asked me question 'who that person that I wanted to send money to??' I said family .. Second question she asked me 'what purpose to send money for?' I said that isn't necessary because that is my family personal matter.. I don't think they need to know.. I don't have to fuck answer... So I mean that none of their business what purpose I want send money to!!! She said it for my own security protect because of scam!!!! I just laughing!!!! Stupid!! She said I been sent three time this month!!! So fuck what!!!??? Still none of fuck their business!!! Rules stupid!!! I know what I am doing it only my family personal matter!!! So I called Amscot Headquarter,customer service said will be happy to transfer me to Supervisor.. Then I talked to supervisor .. I explain what going on.. I told her I do not like the rules that manager and employee have to ask me question severe time since last year I couldn't remember .. That they asked me same question "what the purpose to send money for?"!!! But I telling supervisor I want it stop and change rules.. Supervisor said they have to because that their policy.. I told supervisor,Ok,I will not come back to Amscot anymore.. She said sorry it law must that why they have policy !! They already closed two or three Amscot in Hillsborough area!! If I could give negative stars I would. My wife and I went in for a simple notary on a Power of Attorney. I brought two forms of ID and the ORIGINAL POA so the signatures could be verified. After having to explain twice what a POA was, the manager there treated it as if we were trying to exhume the body of Abraham Lincoln and literally turned what should have been a simple review of a document already filed with the county and state....into a Supreme Court Case. Needless to say.....we walked out. Amscot needs to fix this problem, no wonder the place was empty at 3:00 in the afternoon. With customer service like this....we won't be returning to ANY of your stores. read more

This place is fine. The only things is that there is a wait time. Every month I get money from my country, so I've been going there for at least a year. Well I ALWAYS HAVE TO WAIT.. yeah I do not make a line, but I still wait! lol..... They do have tootsie rolls :) ! and the people are really nice. One thing I really don't like, well the smell.. Only come for money orders but I don't like having to remind the clerk for a receipt each time I come. Duh! Also how come the borders that are supposed to be for privacy aren't private at all?? I really dislike how people like to watch or listen to the next person is doing. Why not just make the borders longer so actual privacy is achieved??? Nosy people lurk. Other than that its ok.
