Now I've pervious performed at and attended over 100 open mics, at different bars, venues, houses etc, and believe me when I say this was one of my all-time favorite. All the musicians were super talented, the host was a pro's pro, and the audience were incredibly supportive & engaging. The space just felt warm, friendly and had a calm yet electric buzz the entire evening. Also, the bartender, Penny, really seemed to set the tone for the entire bar. She is extremely welcoming, witty and just an all-around positive person. You can tell she really enjoys her job and makes sure that her patrons are having a good time. I was sticking to non-alcoholic ginger beer all night and she only charged me $2 each, how kind is that?! All in all, a true gem of a bar with an open mic that I will 1,000% return to.

Now let me start off by saying that my best work comes on the pitch and putt course, but that doesn't stop me from making a fool of myself while the guys on the simulators next to us are absolutely demolishing the ball. You don't need to worry about bringing your own clubs as they do have rentals, but you can bring your own too. We did a two hour rental in the afternoon and only booked the day before with no issues. The staff were some of the nicest and most helpful guys I've had the pleasure of doing business with, they even gave us some extra time since we showed up a little late and there weren't any other rentals after us. Good selection of drinks and if you're hungry, they don't have their own kitchen but they have a deal with Rhum next door to order food, which is some good tasty bar food. I love the sort of mid century modern style they have going on, it fits the golf atmosphere, but none of the snobiness that it usually brings with the sport. Parking can be a little tricky, but there are a bunch of lots around (some paid, some not) which are likely your best bet, even if that means you'll have a short walk. Might just be my favorite bar in patchogue, golf or otherwise, and will gladly comeback here any time.

I ordered the tavern chicken sandwich without the bun and it was very good! It was topped with some delicious smoked Gouda cheese and it also had bacon, shrooms, tomato and honey mustard. I chose fries as my side which were nice and crispy and seasoned well. Now normally this sandwich is $18. You can't beat this lunch special at all! Service was lovely. I opted to sit at the bar. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. But I had a very unusual interaction with our waitress. We paid the bill and left, and the waitress came outside CHASING me and my family yelling "excuse me, did I do something wrong?" What? Turns out, I calculated the tip wrong (im bad at math and messed up) and tipped 18% instead of 20%. My brother helped me calculate it correctly, but to CHASE a family out because of an 18% tip is CRAZY. Most of these "up and coming" bullshit places in Patchogue need to go.

It was quickly returned without any issues . When we received the check we were charged double. This was also quickly resolved. Overall, good place , decent food average beer selection. A good place to see a game and sample pub food. Not breaking any new ground here.
